Spend more time researching the terminal cancers of former soap stars because it's good for you -
This is apparently the service programme from his funeral at St George's Episcopal Church, Manhattan, on July 30th: Unfortunately it was deleted from Wikipedia on copyright grounds so we only have this thumbnail.

Al's son, John Byrne Cooke, dead at 76.As well as being Janis Joplin's tour manager he was also part of one of the world's first novelty cover bands, the Charles River Valley Boys, who did Beatles songs in a bluegrass style to the moderate amusement of some.

Never forget that I did that last year with Michel Delpech, only for the Independent's music obituaries guy to fucking die before they could file copy.

I watched two sitcom episodes yesterday that featured character actor Allan Rich, who is now 91. I'm taking this as a sign that his time is up. (the "survivor" episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm and the episode of Golden Girls where Rose writes to Gorbachev).

There was a recent episode of Gilbert Gottfriend's podcast where they were pressing the guest (I think Ronnie Schell?) for details of why they had beef with Shelley Berman, but the guest demured and said "he's not doing very well at the moment".... Goes to show you dead pool research is a game that never stops.

Mid-July 2018 sees the first ever Columbo Convention. Diligent deadpoolers could attend to check on the health of etc etc etc. -

JD Disalvatore, whose battle with cancer surprisingly made its way into the Daily Mail last year with a "dying woman saves cute animals" angle, has died at 51. While the Mail called her "Armageddon filmmaker", she only worked behind the scenes on that, and her actual filmography was mainly limited release LGBT dramas. Be interesting to see if the Mail goes for the follow up, but I doubt it.

Tweet, whose 2002 hit "Oops (Oh My)" is probably the best R&B single ever about masturbation, hospitalised with blood clots to the heart and lungs. Missy Elliot among those sending up prayers on Twitter.

Best/most tragic thing about this MJ was that he suffered from Parkinson's in his final years, but everyone just assumed he was drunk. -
