27 people, include 18 members of Il Grande Torino, died in the Superga Air Crash today in 1949. Torino had won Serie A three seasons on the bounce and the disaster wiped out the Italian national squad. -

2000 National winner Papillon flies away. And if you want a (vaguely) more human addition to the thread, I hear that long-time racing journo David Ashforth hasn't got long for this world.

Too early for the MMDP, too late for Cup selection.... Streamer and eSports... star(?) David "Allied" Hance is in a hospice with stage 4 gastro-oesphoegal cancer, is "heavily sedated" and has a DNR order. Being as the Mirror and the Sun have both chased eSports traffic in recent months, interesting to see how wide the net they're casting is and if they'll cover this lad.

MMDP Form Guide #12 Isnilon Totoni Hapilon Was beheading Americans in the name of Allah years before it became trendy elsewhere. Has been one of the main targets for the US military since 2006, with no success. However, now he's also upset Rodrigo Ridin' Duterte, this flip could be about to get flipped. I don't think Maryport is offering $5m for his death though.

MMDP Form Guide #4 Charles Van Doren, the Fortnum and Mason's Charles Ingram, still with us at 91 - 70 more than 21. Will he be this year's winning pick? Don't ask me, I don't have the answers.

Former Glenavon defender Tony Scappaticci found dead in his flat aged 48. Nothing to do with The Troubles, obviously, but "Scappaticci" can't be that common a name in the Stolen Six can it? -
Fair play Deadsox, the better team won. Glad to see some of my players who didn't quite make it on the day enjoy a transfer-deadline switch to your lads though. Emetole I think is a gonner.

What was the point of Sunderland giving that lad cancer to inspire them?

Lucha legend Brazo de Oro dead at 66.Leader of the professional wrestlers' union in Mexico... if he'd tried that kind of shit in the US he wouldn't have made it to 66, guaranteed.

Gender splits of DDP winning teams: 2016: 15/5 2015: 15/5 2014: 13/7 2013: 17/3 Pretty conclusive imho tbqhwy.

It's a bit like expecting Arianna Grande to get a mention in Sting's obituary because they were both in Zoolander 2 though. Let's murder Sting and see if that happens.

I mean, playing Family Fortunes/Pointless style "name a famous architect" will leave 99% of the population going "Wren? I think there was one called Wren?", but don't ask me, ask google...

That was me. In my defence, I consider Pei more famous than Niemeyer...
