Reggae musician Eulalee Pennant, whose fight to stay in the UK while battling stage 4 cancer made a bunch of newspapers last year, died in June but didn't QO.

So, How's Your 2024 Shortlist Looking?
Spade_Cooley replied to Death Impends's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Called this right in the 2023 Shortlist thread. So 2024 predictions... very very tight at the top. Can easily see us getting into November with four, five teams still having a shot at winning. Could all come down to a brave pick on one of the bedblockers "seasoned" players will have given up on (Doherty, Bilton, maybe even the Big Yin?). -

Raymond Thorne, character actor who most famously played FDR in the original Broadway production of Annie, died December 20, 2016, as proven by an Instagram post at the time from his son.

Read Any Good Books Lately?
Spade_Cooley replied to maryportfuncity's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Having been sat on my "to read" list for nearly a year, finally got around to cracking open "In Perfect Harmony - Singalong Pop in '70s Britain" and it's a very, very enjoyable read that I'm sure would appeal to a bunch of DLers. Some great stories and revelations from in there, everything from Middle of the Road drinking Motorhead under the table to Clive Dunn being an avowed socialist and The Foundations nearly scuppering their career by stealing microphones from every recording studio they visited and selling them on. -
Could always expand the vigneron thread to all alcohols. Can't really see who else will qualify for discussion in this thread other than Tim Martin and the Guinness family.

As noted elsewhere, Mitten Squad dead at 27.
-
Had you, like many other people, combined her, Bella Emberg and Grotbags into one person?
-
Some of you may have noted AVN Hall of Famer and GILF porn starlet Karen Summer had entered hospice the other week. Didn't think she'd make it to QO, but that's academic now as she's died aged 61. The obit comes from "Jizz Talking dot com".

Abderrahim Ouakili, Moroccan attacking midfielder who was on the bench for two of their 1998 World Cup matches but didn't see any pitch time, dead at 53. Mainly plied his club career in the Bundesliga 2. EDIT: or, y'know, what he said.
-
Detroit music icon Amp Fiddler dead at around 65ish. One-time member of Parliament who went on to become the mentor to a huge heap of music figures from the city, perhaps most notably J-Dilla and Moodyman.

Come on, does anyone really expect him to make it to an advanced age? He seems to spend an inordinate amount of time in hospitals these days as well, whether he has underlying health issues or its just cover-ups for more plastic surgery is for you to decide. Anyway, he's now broken his back in a bicycling accident.

Betty Driver Memorial Soapstar Superstar Thread
Spade_Cooley replied to M Busby Airlines's topic in DeathList Forum
Shouldn't that go in the dead pop stars thread? -
Angelfire still exists?

Checked to see if there was a chance that this would make her the first winner of Mr Skin's Nude Scene of the Year to die, but I misremembered - her and Malin Akerman's congress in Easy only came second in 2016, behind an orgy scene from Westworld. However, none of the named winners of the 15 awards have since passed on, which is nice.
-
In fairness, I'm pretty sure there hasn't been a live date for Garfunkel and Oates since 2019. EDIT: Unless this was a Lee Evans Gambit, in which case, yep, she's definitely dying. Get her on your lists now guys.

Was also the sporting director who brought Maradona to Napoli.

Another year, another "what the fuck is up with Marge's voice these days is Julie Kavner dying?" article.
-
Not everyone reaches etc etc etc.

What a waste of those teeth.

I've run the numbers and I'm happy to announce that for the fifth year running, the most significant death of every month in 2023 was the 2018 passing of "smokin' big doinks in amish" meme star Young King Dave.

David Icke's daughter Kerry Icke dead at the age of 48. Sadly nobody has posted "vaxx status?" underneath the death announcement. -
Let's pick an "old-as-fuck Japanese person who you can feel as cultured for having heard of and feeling they're famous enough for a DL" to mass vote for. Yayoi "50 years in the loony bin" Kusama or Jiro "50 dollars for some fish" Ono, which one?

Yeah, the term "transitioning" is never good news for a cancer patient. Provisional joker for next year's DDP team but I strongly suspected they wouldn't make the starting line.
-
Will the assorted DDP players of this forum be going big on "astrologer's astrologer" Erin Sullivan, who I am reliably informed entered hospice care last weekend?
