You're welcome. -
Any thoughts, @drol?

And who was Carrie Hamilton's one-time boyfriend? Future "List of the Lost" entry Fergie Frederiksen, who recorded this song about her with his band LeRoux.

Out of hospital, and back in: http://www.hindustantimes.com/india-news/delhi-congress-president-sonia-gandhi-hospitalised-again/story-JvugWLoArN9hpmNFrp6TVO.html Advised to stay away from public duties for six weeks. Definitely sounds like just a shoulder injury, can't imagine she's covering anything up here.

Now this turns something up. This site, by a German blues buff, also lists the Bolivar 1960 death date. More specifically, it lists him as dying in "Western State Hospital", backing up discoveries upthread. Western State Hospital was a mental asylum, populated mainly by the poorest in Tennessee. Alcoholics were often committed to these asylums. The property also has two graveyards containing, and I quote, "hundreds of interments of patients whose remains were not claimed by family members". If he was blind and an alcoholic, it's safe to assume he didn't procreate, and if "Hedda" died before him that would probably mean there was nobody to inform about his passing. Two questions though: a) If you were committed to an asylum back then, would you have shown up on census forms? Is it possible he was in WSH for a lengthy period of time, explaining why he seemingly fell out of blues history?

I'm not saying they should have stopped it, but still.

Weird to think Milton Berle and Buddy Hackett were both alive for 9/11.

So I looked up findagrave and there's a record of a Charles Doyle born 1911 died 1967 buried in Perryville Cemetery, Decatur County, TN. Interestingly, just along the road from Bolivar in Hardeman County. http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=doyle&GSby=1911&GSbyrel=in&GSdyrel=all&GSst=45&GScntry=4&GSob=n&GRid=39650526&df=all& Well, well, well...might this be our man? Given there seems to have been incarcerations of the insane and criminals at the hospital in Bolivar, might his grave have been relocated from the hospital cemetery later in the 1960s? All is speculation, but I think we are damn close. Shelby County Registry of Deeds says the Charles Doyle who died in 1967 was white.

Rumours that Marvin Kaplan has passed, this is the closest to an obituary out there so far.

"Hedda", although whether that was her actual name or a nickname, Christ knows.
-
And the wife's name doesn't match up either. Hmmm. Back to the drawing board.

Does anyone have access to Texas death records? If so, can they confirm my suspicion that the top entry here, the guy who died in Smith County in 1998, is 1930s Beale Street blues musician Little Buddy Doyle? https://open.spotify.com/track/50JSLnIOsoCiXEQvpdpqD3 Wikipedia has a date of birth but no date of death (he'd be 105 if he was still around) and no photos of him were ever taken.

I reset my long-list each year rather than keep with an all purpose endless document, fwiw.

FFS don't depress us like that He's being honoured his wife "will be getting" the award on the night. She'll take it to him afterwards and he'll probably try to eat it He might forget which of his wives it is and start smacking her in the face with it.

Always had One Man Gang down as an inevitable "open up the internet one day to find he's dead of a heart attack" type, so I was excited to find this GoFundMe campaign for him. However he's fine healthwise, it's just his house has been destroyed by the Louisiana floods.

Guessing he didn't "live long and prosper", hey lads?!

Correctly calling Mark Sims is, as it stands, probably the most important decision ahead of the DDP17 right now. Get it right and you could have a 24-point joker, get it wrong and you've wasted a pick on a 28-year-old man who has a lot of drugs currently rolling around his system that seem to be doing their best to keep him alive and active. I mean recent blog posts show that the guy is still going to the gym and can do 10-mile hikes out in the Dales, I can't do that and I'm stage 0.

I have an ALS pick I've been sitting on for five years ready to deploy next DDP, get on my level.

I thought there was a thread for Stats and stuff I could reply in depth to you on this point. Can't find it. Anyhow... For 2014 Fetters and Evans were undiscussed on this forum before they carked it irl, although both were mentioned by QO organisations (Fetters in the Mail, Evans in the Times as well as the BBC obviously) in December of the previous year.
