Fortean Times has a few names on its cover...

It's gone, hasn't it? It was 112, DDT had 106, and Jenny Diski (who was in her 60s) = 8 added points = 114? DDT is only 3 hits away from equaling your 15/20 record too now. Fuck, so it was. I had it in my head the record was 116 for some reason.

Next relevant death at the top of the table pretty much guarantees the points record goes as well.

Unknown Man, beating me by a mere two days.

Cantankerous old man who stole the nation's hearts with his guest appearance on Pawn Stars dies

Yellow cards, red cards, substitutions... I mean I could continue.

Love it when DR gets sassy.

Turns out our man didn't have a will, and thus it looks like his recovering crack addict sister will inherit his entire fortune.

Comeback on the cards because Villa are that fucked.

A theme team of secular/gay bloggers in Bangladesh and similar countries would make "Shameless" look like an upstanding DDP entry. Looking forward to someone attempting it next year.

Yeah, it's good that Bowie never embarrassingly jumped on pop bandwagons: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UT2oqEHwvUY

David Duckenfield forgetting to take his medicine and dropping dead of a heart attack within six months is a guarantee, let's be honest. Always forget Graham Kelly is still alive tbh, mainly because I can never remember when Bert Millichip actually carked it.

I've joined the top 10 posters on this site, making me the first person with a post-06 join date (when this site was amazing and every single message was a piece of Algonquin Roundtable wit) to achieve such an honour. -
As said previously Bowie's only "great" single is "Modern Love", because it sounds like Kenny Loggins.
-
Another metric could be to compare Bowie and Prince's album sales if you remove the US and UK from the figures. Bowie: 6.3m Prince: 7.4m (Taylor Swift: 13.2m, to put into these into perspective) Really, there is absolutely no argument against Cruyff being the biggest death of the year in terms of global fame.
-
Mariah Carey has sold 14.5m albums in her career in Japan, fwiw.
-
Career album sales in Japan: Prince: 300,000 David Bowie: 200,000 Earth Wind and Fire: 500,000 Clearly Maurice White was the biggest star to die this year globally.

Dermot Morgan's son diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, keeping a blog about it here.

Next Unexpected "national Treasure" Death

The Queen keeps one. Well I was thinking more along the lines of when a female celebrity reaches a certain age, chat show hosts introduce them as "the lovely....." "Ladies and gentlemen, the lovely Dame Judi Dench!" or "The lovely Thora Hird." that sort of thing. Debbie McGee? -

The voices of the heavenly choir got just that little bit squeakier today in 2007, when Alan Ball died of a heart attack while putting out a fire in his garden. -
Hmmm

Maybe they find it difficult to even have a libido at all when surrounded by people who cum over Football Manager? lol @ u if you've never got dome while guiding Ilkeston to the Europa League final with a 5-4 aggregate win over Napoli.

British Army Captain David Seath dies three miles from the end of the London Marathon following cardiac arrest. Good to see we're protected by our nation's finest in case of invasion.
