Greatest picks OAT would presumably be the ones that single-handedly won DDPs. Andrew Millwall in 2013 and Yosra El-Essawy in 2014 for me.
-
I'll take a "pierre" (pee here) on this thread tbh.
-
Manny Yarborough, from the glory days of MMA when it was a basic freak show, dead at 51. Here he is fighting a guy who is 450 pounds lighter than him.
-
Pavel Srnicek has had a cardiac arrest and remains in critical condition. A lot of deadpoolers are going to be glued to this one until Dec 31st.
-
Nigel Buxton, dead at the age of 91. Qualifies for this thread via being a major travel writer for 30 years (editing the Sunday Telegraph's travel section), but for anyone between the age of 30 and 45 is much better known as the Adam and Joe Show's "BaaadDad".

Earthquake's been dead about a decade. Wait, am I getting trolled?

Did this truck driver have money on me winning this year?

Lucha legend and Wrestling Observer Hall of Famer Lizmark dead at 66. Although, because of the weird world of Mexican wrestling, his real name is unknown and hasn't been released.

Authors Last A Long Time, But....

It's Jacqueline Wilson's 70th birthday today, keep an eye out for any public appearances/interviews she'll be making to see if she's worthy of a pick for 2k16. -
Depends if you count Hector Garza as a "name".
-
Jay Strongbow didn't get an obituary, Oliver Humperdink did. There is no rhyme or reason to which wrestlers get a UK obit and which ones don't.
-
Factoid: Steve Wright did host the Radio 1 breakfast show, between Mark Goodier's caretaker spot and Evans doing it full-time.
-
I think technically it's Sky Sport News that counts for obituaries (which is where the Andrew Millwall loophole saved me two years back), rather than Sky Sports itself. So mentions on Raw would not be valid obits.... unless TMIB can clarify otherwise.

Nanny Pat. Biggest British death of the year?
-
Licio Gelli, masonic lodge officer who arguably ran Italy clandestinely for about 30 years during the Propaganda Due era, dead at 96. Linked with the Banco Ambrosiano collapse, the murders of Mino Pecorelli and Roberto Calvi, and a whole other heap of good-ass stuff that makes you proud to be a paisan.

The other, oft-overlooked aspect of DDP success is having a specific field of interest that you have the inside track in. It wouldn't be a DQSP side without me fielding some old journo whose stage IV cancer is well-known amongst NUJ members but unpublished online. Similarly, The Living End's always been able to divine the upcoming mortality of people involved in the world of motorsport.

Nobby Stiles is the kind of person who, if he was dying, you'd know about it via the British press. Go with the Murrican.

I'd hazard a guess, if someone wants to do the maths, that the average age of hits among top ten teams is on an increasingly downward trend?

A girl who kinda looks a little bit like Taylor Swift if you squint's mother gets a British broadsheet obit. -
Kenwright over Deadly Doug?
-
Why does this thread currently have 70 guests?
-
I could be wrong but I'd assume these days anyone who ever played for England once would be get a certain obit. I have no idea who the oldest living former England international is Ivor Broadis, 14 caps between 1951 and 1954.

Lower Age Limit For Forum Membership
Spade_Cooley replied to Lord Fellatio Nelson's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Do I need to add Mumsnet to the list of forums I scour for "sad news about [marginally obit-worthy charity worker]" posts over the xmas period then?
