Now Paul Revere, the eponymous hero and organist of the group, is in a bad way. Former Raider Mark Lindsay has posted this on Facebook: , anyone? It went all the way to number 1 in the US in 1970. Paul will not be accompanying the Raiders on any of their tour dates this year.

One who'd probably come on the radars of those who like to play a few celebrity relatives in their 2015 DDP teams, Ariana Grande's grandfather dead. -
Actually went to the Dora Bryan exhibition mentioned in that article up there. First ever person to have appeared on "This Is Your Life" twice apparently.

Saw that someone from the Thai film industry was dead, assumed he was something to do with "Ong Bak". He was. Panna Rittikrai, producer and fight choreographer for that film and the "the man who brought [one] Thai action films to a Western audience", dead at 53. -
Appeared in a film with Brittany Murphy, played a young Marilyn Monroe in another, not as if the warning signs weren't there.

Time for a loud, tuneless funeral march: Ferbos dead two days after his 103rd birthday.

Not starting a thread for her not starting a thread for her not starting a thread for her Too ill to attend her own birthday. Which, considering even a month ago she was turning up to fucking dog fashion shows, probably indicates we're on the clock. Update via, of course, the personal facebook page of Vicki Michelle from Allo Allo/70s softcore porn. So, will Lord Archer do the decent thing and show up for the funeral? Dunno, did he make it to Monica Coghlan's?

Horacio Troche, of the 1962 and 1966 Uruguay squad, dead at 79. He's probably best known for popping Uwe Seeler on the side of the head in the '66 quarter final.

Zohra Sehgal, who played the old dear in "Bhaji On The Beach" and "Bend It Like Beckham" in addition to a long career in her native India, dead at 102. She was also, for the nerd birds among you, the first Dr Who actor to become a centenarian.

Wait, just checked: Steve Evans - 700 points Amiri Baraka - 357 Claudio Abbado - 346 Marlise Munoz - 340 Casey Kasem - 200 1943 points. So no.

If I'd have entered this year, would I have won it with my DDP team?
-
I mean, it's not a shot on anyone but if you start policing picks on the grounds of "well they're not famous", you're going to end up like certain other deadpools that only let players pick from a list of 1000 people.
-
The problem is though, how do you determine that someone is "only famous for being ill"? Winnie Johnson? Well she'd been a regular appearer in the newspapers for nearly 50 years. Anne Williams? Actually won a BBC Sports Personality of the Year Special Merit award. Lisa Lynch? Had written for most of the major national newspapers, journos always obit themselves. Steve Evans? OK, maybe not "famous" in any way but he was a prominent figure in his community. All of these people would have obitted if they'd have been hit by a car rather than having cancer. Also, all four got BBC TV obituaries. Which is more than maybe 50% of "legitimate celebrity" picks will get.
