    Death, Italian Style

Peppino Gagliardi, Neapolitan/pop crossover artist of the 60s and 70s, two-time San Remo runner-up and a regular fixture on the soundtracks of American films set in Italy, dead at 83. Cited by Benny Andersson as a key influence on early ABBA.

    Internet Celebrities

2018 meme Lil Tay, aka "the internet's youngest flexer", has been announced as dead (along with her brother) on her official Instagram page. Feels a bit like a hoax/prank to me, but the mainstream media is already writing about it so....

    Shinzo Abe

Longest-serving Japanese PM in history, already stepped down from the role once in 2007 due to chronic ulcerative colitis, has recently visited hospital twice in the space of a few days - sparking concern about his health across Glorious Nippon. He's refused to reveal what the purpose of the visits was, and chronic ulcerative colitis is a risk factor for colon cancer.

    The deaD of 2023

Long-time commissioner of Major League Eating (including during the controversial Kobayashi/Chestnut feud years) Charles Hardy has died of cancer aged 57. A former competitive eater himself, at his death he still held the world record for cabbage (6 pounds and 9 ounces in 9 minutes).

People I Was Surprised To Find Are Still Alive

Eleven years later, Carl Davis is now dead. In addition to World at War he also did stuff like The Naked Civil Servant, conducted the BBC's 2006 World Cup theme, and was married to "person you were surprised to find was still alive" Jean Boht.

    Wrestlers/actors

Vince McMahon has been on "medical leave" from all responsibilities since July 21st, according to the WWE's Q2 earnings report. This may or may not have anything to do with the fact he was subpoenaed four days earlier and had his offices searched by federal law enforcers.

    Hollywood Possibilities

Paul Reubens, Fred Willard, Gerald Sinstadt - the past few years have been pretty hard on those who enjoy a leisurely chug at the flicks.

    Deathlist Cup 2023

Eight unique deaths would have made it 36-0, which of course is the biggest ever win in a competitive professional football match

    Ideas and possibilities for 2024

Not often you'd get the chance to pick someone talking about their pediatric cancer on Children In Need, especially when they did so 16 years ago, but Reebeka Climson has graduated from that 2007 appearance and now faces prison for shouting "fuck the pope" at an Orange march.

    Time Added

Rumours on X, the social media site formerly known as Twitter, that Chris Bart-Williams has followed Trevor in the cull of Forest players. Mark Crossley probably the biggest name tweeting about it.
