dead Ennio Morricone
Spade_Cooley replied to harrymcnallysblueandwhitearmy's topic in DeathList Forum
I'm in favour of a thread for everyone who is over 85 or has some sort of vaguely interesting terminal illness, tbh. -
Pauline McLynn on "Father Figure", Ardal O'Hanlon on "London Irish", Doreen Keogh either alive or dead nobody knows, Graham Linehan as the biggest cunt Twitter has ever seen... seems like Dermot Morgan checked out at the right time.

Before he broke into film soundtracks, he was a producer specialising in Italian twist artists: -
Is this the truth? Is there any proof that Ali's boxing career shouldn't have seen the 1980's? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rz3vkUvuVO4

It's almost as if being repeatedly punched in the skull is bad for your health or something.
-
Plus Ron Lyle (was beating Ali clearly on all three cards before the referee stopped the fight for no apparent reason) died in 2011, and Jimmy Young (utterly ridiculous decision, Ali markedly lost this one) died in 2005.
-
By my quick fag packet calculations, 27 of Ali's opponents are still alive (28 if you count Parkinson's), with Jimmy Robinson having vanished off the face of the planet (the subject of this fascinating article).

Autobiography withdrawn from sale three days before publication.

Prince Jazzbo, who'd probably shown up on a few of your "terminal cancer" google searches recently, dead at 62.
-
Brian Sollitt, the inventor of the After Eight mint, Matchmakers, Yorkies and Lion Bars, has died. According to this article he had "molten chocolate in his veins", which is probably what killed him.

Really hoping MK pulls through, one of the greats. Aggressive fibromatosis, Basically he's out of the woods for now.

1980s one-and-a-bit hit wonder Forrest (who got to number 4 in 1983 with his cover of "Rock the Boat"), dead at 60.

Ted Loden, the commander of 1 Para during the Bloody Sunday massacre, shot dead by robbers in Kenya. Karma, huh

What Kind Of Person Deadpools?

Think I made my first dead pool team when I was... 15? I know that Bill Maynard was on it because he was in the papers for being ill at the time. Fifteen years later and the cunt's still with us. -
My favourite moon landing theory is that man did land on the moon, but that video cameras don't work up there so they had to film the Aldrin/Armstrong shots in a studio. It's just hilarious because it's a conspiracy that can leave everyone feeling deeply unsatisfied.

I think Jack will get a DL place next year, and will probably turn up in the DDP Drop 40 as well. Weird we're getting to the point now that the New Hollywood stars are starting to drop dead of old age-related illnesses, when we still have Fontaine, De Havilland and a bunch of other Golden Era of The Screen stars pottering about.

Hold the (Central IV) Line I wonder if Mike Porcaro (guaranteed obit) dying might make it more like that Frederiksen (not actually famous or a member of Toto when they sold any records) gets an obit, on some "the curse of Toto" shit?

Always assumed that Pauline Quirke would be the first of the Birds of a Feather cast to die. RIP.

Ian Rotten saying he has stomach cancer is a very different thing for him actually having stomach cancer. Look forward to 90 benefit shows in the next year.

Death Anniversary Thread
Spade_Cooley replied to themaninblack's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Died today in 2006. As Norm MacDonald said at the time, "44? That's a ripe old age for a crocodile hunter." -
He seems pretty optimistic about his chances of recovering. He was quoted as saying "The "future's so bright I gotta wear shades. That.......wasn't.......them....... Nor that one. Doesn't say much for their musical legacy is that random eighties tracks are assigned to them. "System Addict" and "My Favourite Waste of Time" were their only decent songs anyway.

How... how did this topic come up with your son?
