Bizarrely enough, he gets the requisite obit in UK press. Three months late, but still. -
Oh for fuck's sake.

Guests, A Deathlist Enhancement, Or Detriment?

And in 2007/8/9/10/11 most of the long established members began to stop posting with any great frequency because the forum had lost its mojo and real reason for existing. Those left soldier on flogging a dead horse. Unfortunately, precious few of those left are good enough to turn it around, you are pissing into the wind of mediocrity. Such tragedy. Perhaps you would consider the important things before you question the trivial. You always considered it just a game and a bit of fun. You reap what you sow fella, we all do, some still have theirs to come. If you really care make the difference or watch it fade into obscurity. Maybe it already has. -
dead Prince Philip Duke Of Edinburgh

Oh man, not the final death, that's the worst death of all. -
What an attention whore.

This Is A Low. Incidentally, I'll be entering a wrestling-themed team in the DDP this year because I know how much MIB loves writing blurbs for pro-wrestlers.

http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/18914 In keeping with the great lady's legacy, Margaret Thatcher's state funeral should be funded and managed by the private sector to offer the best value and choice for end users and other stakeholders. The undersigned believe that the legacy of the former PM deserves nothing less and that offering this unique opportunity is an ideal way to cut government expense and further prove the merits of liberalised economics Baroness Thatcher spearheaded

All you had to do was follow the damn train, GJ. -
I think we're at the point where we can start contributing the already rejected participants from our long-list, right? Former vice-chairman of Plymouth Argyle Robert Dennerly has a malignant brain tumour. I was holding out hope that the club wouldn't be sold so he'd still be vice-chair when the new year turned around, but now he isn't... I'd say his chances of a national newspaper obituary are pretty low. Still, if you want to take a punt there he is. Similarly, former Bulgarian national team manager Dimitar Dimitrov has stomach cancer, but he didn't manage Bulgaria when they were any good so I can't see him getting that much press reportage.

Ray Bradbury to be a top 20 pick. Call me Nostradamus. -
It helps having a shitty job where you're tied to a computer all day and have little desire to ever talk to your co-workers.

I'd rather she went on New Year's Eve, tbh. Help the festivities go.

I think only murdering four people in a fit of psychosexual sadism does put you in the top 10 percent of Bradford inhabitants, tbh.

Congratulations to Maryport for cursing Rotten Ali's IDP run. Ali's faith in the hardiness of "The Black Panther" Donald Nielson sees a massive shake up at the top of the charts, with him dropping down to fifth overnight. Karn2, who has managed to get through the year with just the deaths of Betty Ford and Harry Morgan so far, stays in top spot. At the bottom, Lady Grendel picked both Nielson and Our Dear Leader in her top 16, and is resultantly paying the price. Her teamsheet makes scary reading for Prince Philip and Paul Gascoigne over Christmas. 1. Garn2 -15 points 2. Spike Milligan, Peter Cook, Graham Chapman and Fatty Arbuckle are all names to consider as well. -
Hitchens, Socrates, McManus, Gould... if Robin Gibb keels over at the Christmas table then this is going to be the widest-open DDP in history.

+1 RIP big man.

It's also more "names that you wouldn't be surprised to see on the front page" as well. DL isn't going to put on people who write a blog about battling cancer, Australian news readers or baseball coaches like some DDPers. -
I think so, maybe I'll be less useless a pool-runner next year as well.

If any of the old-time DL veterans want to bring back the glory days of ranting Googlers, an increased focus on Sara Payne could do the trick.
