Oh shit John Sullivan's dead.

Only a few weeks later, Gerard Smith is dead. Being in a buzzband is a dangerous profession. So apparently Smith's lung cancer death at such a young age was because he was a first responder at 9/11? I think this means we can pencil in Steve Buscemi for DL 2012?

Oh no, what a tragedy it'd be for both him and Aston Villa if he had to "step down with health issues" at the end of the season meaning that he got a decent payoff without being fired and Villa didn't have to admit they ballsed up by appointing him.

Despite it being 4:20, Willie Nelson isn't going to be smoking a joint today because of "health issues". He's going to be using a vaporizer instead. -

Jerry Lawson, inventor of the video game cartridge, dead at 70. Presumably medics tried blowing on his corpse and shaking him around from side to side before declaring him dead. -
He's doing fine but his missus is skitz.

With Buster Martin and Ronnie Coyle, how deep are we in now? We must be looking at within the next two weeks. For synchonicity's sake it'd be nice if it was Danielle Mitterrand but I feel in true DDP style it's going to be either "the relative of someone famous" or "someone who isn't famous but wrote about their cancer in a newspaper thinkpiece so they get a nice obit when they pop off instead".

9/10 for whoever came up with the subtitle for this thread.

Roger Nichols, producer for Steely Dan and thus a major influence on the genesis of yacht rock, has died 66. Guess you could say he "Peg"ged it. Because Steely Dan had a song called "Peg".

Ring of Honor/Chikara mainstay "Sweet and Sour" Larry Sweeney kills himself aged 29. I know his gimmick was "emulating wrestlers from the 80s" but that's taking it too far.

Hugh Hefner bought the house next door to my parents, and for some reason my mother was really keen for me to have my photo taken with him. As soon as she takes it, he drops dead and sorta instantly turns into a putrified skeleton. -
And one for after the National, jockey Peter Toole is currently in critical condition with head injuries after a fall. Someone I went to hack college with who's on the newspapers in Merseyside seems to think he might not pull through so, idk, keep 'em peeled.

Well, he held on for six more years: You don't really mean you'll kill me, do you? So Sidney Lumet is DDP hit 987.

thank you !!!!!! Excuse my inattention, but who are you the artist formerly known as? Click on the name, view member profile. click on options, then member display name history Ok, Paul Bearer, so I'm probably the only one who doesn't immediately recognize the guy in your avatar. Who is it, if you don't mind telling? It's Paul Bearer.

He got a "get better soon" shoutout from Colin Murray on the last episode of Fighting Talk, which could mean anything but I'm taking it to mean he has two weeks to live.
