Quickly scooting around the picks to see if we've missed anyone, and while everyone's favourite Chinese social media celebrity Mint Sauce Small Q seems to still be with us, I'm quite taken by the Google Translation of this article about another possible pick for your deadpool teams from the orient:

Oh yeah, there are only 30 days in June. Four hours left for DDT to find two stiffs down the side of the sofa following Terry Gardner's death. Joey Russ 13 vs Salmon Mousse 9 DevonDeathTrip 13 vs gcreptile 19

Now when ITV inevitably make a three-part drama series about this investigation, will the Committee put whichever aging actor they get to play Moore at #50 in the following year's DL?

Went to post Bernie Ecclestone's latest gibberings in the Bernie Ecclestone thread, only to find we don't have one. Surely the most surprising omission around these aprts?

Considering how it felt like "Smile" was never off the radio/adverts in the late 90s, mad that it only made #23 in the hit parade.

As indicated by that tweet, Williams died at the Hershel "Woody" Williams Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Which leads to the obvious question: who else has died at a medical facility named after them?

David Weiss Halivni dead at 94.

So, 15 points clear on top again. I'd say at this point in the game, the maximum climb possible is around 30 points, so let's say that only the top 7 have any chance to win. However, the complete radio silence recently from Don West - at a time when every single other person who had any involvement with Impact Wrestling has appeared on camera to say a few words and mark its 20th anniversary - makes me think he's a 100% lock. Which knocks us down to the top 3 as the only possible winners. Remaining names by team, excluding DW and any names shared by all of the top 3 (Pele and Frank Field): David Quantick's Showbiz Pals Vicky Phelan Julia Reichert Bill Steel Susie Steiner (D40) Dick Vitale Tom Weiskopf (D40) Alyson Williams (unique) DDP Tofoa George Alagiah (D40) Ady Barkan Rob Burrow (D40) Shannen Doherty (D40) Olivia Newton-John (D40) Linda Nolan (D40) Gavin Robertson Bill Turnbull (D40) Banana's Peel Slippers George Alagiah (D40) Chris Croucher Ronnie Hellstrom (dead but no QO) Jerry Lee Lewis (D40) Charles M. Lieber (unique) Vicky Phelan Julia Reichert Susie Steiner (D40) Gianluca Vialli So two very different ways I can be unseated at the top. George Alagiah is clearly the most dangerous hit to me for the rest of the year. Him going gives Tofoa a number of reasonable shots at taking me out, and a lot of their names are the kind who could drop dead at any moment without much warning. Banana probably needs that Hellstrom obit to come in, perhaps hindered by Sweden's failure to qualify for the WC but it's still feasible. Jerry Lee Lewis is a dangerous name, while Lieber also makes me feel uncomfortable. I'm not buying the bunting just yet, put it that way.

Dame Deborah James' death is very much a case of You, Me and the Big (c), as both our trailers in this tournament captained the headteacher-turned-blogger-turned-charity-campaigner. DevonDeathTrip probably still has too far a gap to make up on gcreptile, but with Salmon Mousse only four adrift, Joey Russ is facing squeaky-bum time. Just like... too soon? Joey Russ 13 vs Salmon Mousse 9 DevonDeathTrip 9 vs gcreptile 19

Deborah James dead at 40. Gets the full BBC Breaking App alert as well.

So I'm still hosting this next year then?

Yep, it seems Taylor had a terminal cancer diagnosis and couldn't shake it off. Nigel Taylor was the former chairman of Somerset County Council, who in November 2020 said that copper wiring shouldn't be installed as "gypsies would fill their pockets with it". He was diagnosed with cancer just months later, which is exactly why I always buy heather when asked. Anyway, Joey Russ and gcreptile both increase their leads and it's pretty obvious what the final is going to be now... Joey Russ 10 vs Salmon Mousse 3 DevonDeathTrip 3 vs gcreptile 16

There's a classic piece of Wikipedia mod dickwaving if you click through to this guy's talk page. Basically someone refusing to accept that this picture of a grave, which matches Besselink's full name, date of birth and military rank, isn't an official document.

How many dead from last year's Sopranos theme team now? EDIT: Rae Allen, Peter Bogdanovich, Paul Hernan and now Siragusa. -
The documentary on the Gateways (groundbreaking lesbian nightclub) on BBC 4 last night had a whole heap of aging tennis fans turning up to offer their opinions, worth watching on iPlayer for form-spotting.

And the DL Cup gets hit by the Hopler effect. Jay Hopler was a poet who, in addition to his own works, was also noted for his translations of the output of Georg Trakl. His most recent anthology, Still Life, was started the day after he was diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer and was published just one week ago. DDT finally gets on the scoreboard for the semis, but unfortunately for him he falls an extra three points behind thanks to gcreptile's captaincy pick. Joey Russ 7 vs Salmon Mousse 3 DevonDeathTrip 3 vs gcreptile 13

Duckman definitely an underrated great, may have to watch some over the weekend. #2 late-night animated series of the 90s for me, behind Dr Katz

Final episode of The Wendy Williams Show to air this Friday, with no contribution from Wendy herself.

"Last living star of Burlesque's Golden Age" Betty Rowland may have died off the radar in April if this tweet is to be believed. Weird, I thought she might be a 50/50 shot at a QO, rather than a "die without any press at all".

Wish I'd have taken the 12/1 on Mordaunt being next Tory leader last week, she's into 5/1 fav most places now. Still a value bet though?
