Ric Parnell dead.
-
I thought Ivica Osim would have had more mentions on the forum, but his sole one comes upthread. Anyway, he's dead at 80. Managed Yugoslavia to the quarters in 1990, and was part of the Yugo squad that finished runners-up in the 1968 Euros. Had a big run as Strum Graz manager in the late 90s as well.

And with the final draw of the tournament, the semi-finals as decided by roly-poly superagent Mino Raiola and cock-memorializing feminist artist Cynthia Plaster Caster: winner of Sir Cunto vs Joey Russ v winner of Captain Hemlock vs Salmon Mousse winner of maryportfuncity vs DevonDeathTrip v winner of Annami vs gcreptile

Seven teams are in, one has 35 minutes to submit or else they're out. I'm off to bed and another night of sneezing non-stop.
-
Annami currently leads TQR on average age as well, if anyone was wondering about the sole tied encounter.

The death of Bangladesh's finance minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith has Perhaps scrambling the ball out of the back of the net and rush to the centre circle, a unique captain hit leaving them two points short of equalising but with very little in the way of time left. Is this minor Ghanaian MP Alexander Kodwo Kom Abban's time to shine? I've been absolutely riddled with a cold these past few days (nice to be bedridden, headachey and sneezing non-stop without worrying about COVID, huh?), but yes: you have 38 hours or so to get your teams in for the next round.

Literally defying the grim reaper just to get the Pogba-back-to-Juventus transfer over the line, what a worker.
-
Not this round, actually. What a life he lived though, from pizza delivery boy to buying Al Capone's mansion with the profits from the Pogba transfer.

It's especially weird considering how it feels like we're in a celebrity death drought.

iirc, Jodorowsky and Patricia Routledge were both born on exactly the same day, and I wouldn't be surprised to see either get a DL call up next year. Don't think they ever worked together on-screen though.

I'm glad nobody had her as I couldn't really do two "BAH GAWD THAT'S CAIN/KANE'S MUSIC" blurbs in a month.

Anyone care to run some quick checks on this one? Steve Gatorwolf was a pro-wrestler of the early 1980s who was originally meant to be the Next Jay Strongbow but apparently botched his war dance before his debut WWF match so was reduced to a jobber pretty much instantly. Fought all the big names of the 80s though and was even in the "Land of 1,000 Dances" video (at 0:44 here). Anyway, after wrestling he went to prison for running an underground MMA fight club, and then he raped a 14-year-old girl. That assault was covered pretty heavily everywhere in 2014, which would make the fact that a few places have him listed down as dying in 2017 but that not being reported anywhere, even on pro-wrestling news sites, very confusing. Can anyone see if a Stephen Nathaneil Ketcher from Grand Junction, Colorado did cark it in 2017?

Eric Daman, one of the world's leading theme park designers, has died at the age of 58. Not to be confused Eric Daman, the 51-year-old costumer designer most famous for his work on Sex and the City.

Watching Top of the Pops: The Story of 1995, glad for them to be up to a year I can remember and know where the lies and massive revisions are. Anyway, David McAlmont looks like shit and not just "enjoyed himself a bit too much in the 90s" shit.

Might wanna reread what I wrote there chief...

Was boredly looking at the list of players who have caps for more than one nation on RSSF - turns out, following Bakharev's death, there are only two players alive who have two caps, each for a different nation: Miroslav Chvíla (Czechoslovakia 1992, Slovakia 1994) and Mukhsin Mukhamadiev (Tajikistan 1992, Russia 1994).
-
History suggests he may perhaps possibly ever-so-slightly have some minor, barely worth mentioning allegiance to the British crown and a dislike of people from elsewhere, especially papists.

Arno was apparently known as the "Tom Waits of Belgium", so at least the Flemish get their own tuneless overrated growling blowhard. Formerly of eurorock progenitors TC Matic, he went solo in the mid-80s and had consistently been one of Belgium's biggest-selling singer-songwriters of the past three decades. He also became friends with Marvin Gaye when the soulster briefly lived in Belgium during the early 1980s, and regularly cooked for him. Perhaps if his kitchen skills were better Gaye wouldn't have had to return to the US and walk in on his dad having a wank while wearing stockings. Anyway, the Arno has now dried up and alt obits guy gets a unique, if probably meaningless, hit. Will the UVF be wearing black armbands?

Pretty interesting character, Dory Funk said he was the best wrestler he ever trained (which covers a lot of ground), but his career just never took off.

So Deborah James was discharged from hospital after a month on the 14th. However, three days ago she gave a short video message to the Lorraine show to mark the start of Bowel Cancer Awareness Day/Month/Week.... and she was outside an intensive care unit while doing it. Her longevity is honestly stunning at this point but we have to be talking days rather than weeks?

Ever since I saw his death on Wiki, not being a fan of handegg, I've been trying to remember where I know the name from. Was he mentioned in a TV series or something?
