Ever since I saw his death on Wiki, not being a fan of handegg, I've been trying to remember where I know the name from. Was he mentioned in a TV series or something? -

HE WAS AN ASTRONAUT. -
Still hospitalised. He looks OK but I'm not getting good vibes from this...

With the Reaper back off his Easter vacation, we continue the DL Cup with a brace of uniques. First up is Mosharraf Hossain, one of the leading Bangladeshi bowlers of his generation. He was one of the key figures in dragging the Dhaka Gladiators to the 2013 Bangladeshi Cricket Premier League, and featured five times for the country's ODI outfit. He'd been fighting brain cancer for three years and was finally caught by the illness this month. gcreptile goes 7 clear against msc in their tie. Pablo Luna went from graffiti artist to muralist, with his works found all over Phoenix, Arizona. A diabetic, he suffered a heart attack in February and had been hospitalized ever since. Sir Cunto tears the wall down to go eight clear of Banana. Harrison Birtwistle died 14 years after last being picked on the DDP. Is this a record?
-
How's it going in here?
-
The Street Sweeper, DJ Kay Slay, dead at 55 from COVID complications.

Was just about to post that, here's Ray Parlour paying tribute in his inimitable way:
-
13 days after Estelle Harris, we've lost Mrs Seinfeld as well: Liz Sheridan dead at 93.
-
Darts and speedway commentator Nigel Pearson dead at 52. Sky had promoted him to take over some of Dave Clark's jobs on the arrers so must have been something sudden.
-
Looks like those of you who thought Mongo would be a two-year ALS job rather than a five-yearer will be proven right:
-
Letizia Battaglia, photographer who captured 20th century Sicily and - most importantly - the impact the Mafia had on it, dead at 87. Was still exhibiting last month so it must have been something pretty sudden. The documentary about her, Shooting the Mafia, is a good watch if you have a few hours:
-
Wolfgang Fahrian, West Germany's starting goalkeeper in the 1962 World Cup, dead at 80. Later went on to be a football agent representing such luminaries as Leeds United favourite Roque Júnior and one-time WWE hopeful Tim Wiese.

On the podcast tip, I had considered a Norm MacDonald Live theme team for this year's DDP but never got round to it. Looking at it now, the death rate for guests is spectacular: Season 1 (2013) Bob Einstein (died 2019) Tom Green Fred Stoller Russell Brand Billy Bob Thornton Larry King (died 2021) Kevin Nealon Simon Hedberg Nick Swardson Andy Dick Gilbert Gottfried (died 2022) Season 2 (2014) Ray Romano Adam Sandler David Spade Carl Reiner (died 2020) Fred Willard (died 2020) Todd Glass Bob Saget (died 2022) David Koechner Roseanne Barr Marc Maron Martin Mull Jack Carter (died 2015) I notice Martin Mull hasn't been in any TV shows or movies for nearly two years now...

You know, I'm old enough to remember back to simpler, more innocent times, when the worst thing you'd hear about on the news was hijacked jet liners flying into buildings.
-
No, but episodes of the podcast were becoming more irregular recently and he was recording most of them (all of them?) remotely rather than in-studio. He went silent on social media for a few months as well...

THE ARISTOCRATS! (literally am upset about this, 100% biggest death of the year for me)

He looks like a PS 2 glitch.

Interesting that this is the second time Rincon has been in critical condition following a car accident, having also totalled his motor in 2013. I'm not saying this could be related to his alleged links with local cocaine barons, but...

Shinjiro Otani took a really bad German-suplex-into-turnbuckle bump at a ZERO-1 show and had to be stretchered out. The fans were asked to leave immediately, lot of chat online suggesting it's pretty serious and he might be paralyzed.

Recent photo of Shecky Green (L), Pat Cooper (M) and Pete Barbutti (R). Shecky still able to stand up at the age of 96 and Cooper, despite spending most of his life either having heart attacks or recovering from them, looking good for 92.

Anyone got any data on Catherine Hawn, third wife of Dean Martin? Lots of terrible auto-generated copy about her online (there has been no news about her in years this means she is alive and healthy) but I can find nothing about her since Dean's funeral. She alleged shot Dino in the hand once during an argument.

So this is the Salmon Mousse roundup, as the reigning DDP champion gets three hits on the trot in their push for the double. Kate Hendricks Thomas' QO took a little while to come (even though she managed a C-SPAN mention due to being named in some US political gumf the day after her death), but Defense One came through. "Doc Kate" was a former marine who took what she learned in the military and span it into a career of TED Talks and numerous publications. However, something else she took from her time in the field was carcinogen exposure from burn pits in Iraq, leading to her death from breast cancer at the age of 42. gcreptile, Joey Russ and Banana all join Salmon in getting points from her final demob. A priest for over 60 years, Father John Catoir founded the St. Jude Media Ministry in 1995 in an effort to spread the good word. It was most famous for its short, 30-second broadcasts in the commercials of various Westwood One stations, informing listeners: "Don't be discouraged. You're a good person and the Lord loves you very much." gcreptile and Salmon Mousse's opponents may do well to heed those words, as they both grabbed another three points here. "Big Cat" Rayfield Wright was an NFL hall of famer who won two Super Bowls as offensive tackle for the Dallas Cowboys. At 6'6 he'd originally set his heart on a future in basketball, but was persuaded to switch to the gridiron by coaches at his college. He was named to the NFL Team of the Decade for the 1970s and, unsurprisingly for an NFL player of that era, he had early-onset dementia. A stroke in late March speeded up his demise, and Sir Cunto joins Salmon Mousse in the three points.
