This is Dan Quayle's life achievement; he actually managed to prove Einstein wrong. Afraid I have to disagree - I think Dan Quayle proved Einstein correct, in showing that there is no end to stupidy

    Ruth is dead

Between Ruth Warrick and Rosemary Kennedy, I though this was turning into Condolences R' Us. Where have all the ranters gone when you need them?

    Pete Doherty

Ones a dodgy buck Dodgy as in phoney??
  4. Teddy

    Robbie Coltrane

With the references to cigarettes and whiskey, I think it may be Charles Kennedy in disguise

    Basil D'oliveira

    No, that was Basil Brush

    Wild guesses

damn....you figured out my name.... i thought my alias was flawless So did I, until I was able to use my special powers to eliminate the forward slashes. That would be the Magic - 67 then?

    Death In Pixie Boots?

But then you have to worry about the magic wolf coming around and huffing and puffing and blowing the magic log house down. Better to build the magic stone house

    Kurt Waldheim

Apparently they don't have humour either

Oh no - and angry german with a complex. And a dislike. I can feel an invasion coming on

    Sir Patrick Moore

I once heard Patrick Moore speak at a businessman's club event when I was 14. Seemed nice enough (signed autograph etc.), but I never did take up his offer to visit him in Selsey, ahem, to see his "telescopes". A businessman at 14? You're not Bill Gates in disguise, are you. Or a friend of weathermans?

    Death In Pixie Boots?

You mean this website? I don't think weatherman was trying to do that - in fact, I am sure he would rather stay away until he can change the music to something more appropriate, perhaps by a Mr B Manilow? Possibly Could it be Magic? Or, more in keeping with this site, could I suggest 'We Live on Borrowed Time'?

    Sharon Osbourne

Predict? That is clever. Maybe guess, hope or (in Sharons case) pray. You're praying for Sharon's death? That's plain wrong. Have to agree with weatherman (and that really hurts ) You shouldn't be praying. What you need is a voodoo doll, and a lot of pins

    Hey, Rude Kid!

Err, better make that 6 months going by the dates And don't try using the 'I was banned' routine - that was lifted ages ago. Or is it a case of fast typer, slow reader??

    Meat Loaf

He's lots of things ending in 'onic,' but ironic isn't one of 'em. (...Sorry weatherman, couldn't help myself...) Do you mean Bionic? Or Sardonic? A tonic? Or possibly even mor... or no, couldn't mean that one

    Ideas and Possibilities for 2006

Reminds me of the line from 'Good Morning, Vietnam'. 'Why do they call her Lady Bird? Cos' Lady Dog would be too cruel'

As an aside, and in welcoming our new member, did you know that Quincy is one of a handful of TV characters whose first name we never find out? Doctor Quincy!

    Gerald Ford

Yeah - some... Polk (1849) and Taylor (1850); Filmore (1874) and Johnson (1875) Also, some in the same year - Tyler and Van Buren (1862), Harrison and McKinley (1901) Finally, a couple the same day... John Adams, 2nd US President, and Thomas Jefferson, 3rd President, both died July 4th, 1826, the 50th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Adams last words were 'Thomas Jefferson still survives' - not knowing that he died a few hours before him. James Monroe, 5th President, died exactly 5 years later on July 4th, 1831! Suprised Oliver Stone hasn't spotted a conspiracy and made a movie yet!

    Carry On Dying

Listening to Radio Scotland this morning, Fred Macaulay was interviewing Babs. Apparently she has brought out a fitness video, and is now fighting fit - although I doubt she has much need of the 'Upper Body Workout'

    Carry On Dying

I heard that Sid James was alive and well, and sharing a house with Michael Bentine and Leslie Crowther
