A smart piece of business by the al-Qaeda member - offering to pay a bounty to any succesful suicide bomber. I understand the small print stated the bomber had to claim the money in person

Things to do while waiting for Death ... 2004

Here's another variation on the theme, which will hopefully go down well with fellow Jocks out there Bash The Haggis My high score is 763, but then I give up easily. If only some on the list would do the same

    Gretchen Franklin

It must be something in the family genes, as Clive Dunn certainly looks younger now than when he appeared in Dad's Army, and that was 30+ years ago!
  4. Looks like Joe Longthorne is facng a tricky future. I'm not sure how well these bone marrow transplants work, even assuming he gets one. One to keep an eye on.

Things to do while waiting for Death ... 2004

Don't know if this helps - some info from Wiki on decomposition. I have only posted the more relevant parts - the article goes into greater detail. The rate and the manner in which a human or animal body decomposes is strongly affected by a number of factors. In a roughly descending degree of importance, those factors include: Temperature Access by insects Burial, and depth of burial Access by carnivores or rodents Trauma, including wounds and crushing blows Humidity, or dryness Rainfall Body size and weight Prior embalming Clothing The surface the body rests on Embalming affects the process, slowing it somewhat, but does not forestall it indefinitely. Embalmers typically pay the greatest attention to the parts of the body seen by mourners, such as the face and hands. The time for the reduction of an embalmed body to be reduced to a skeleton varies greatly. An unembalmed adult body buried six feet deep in ordinary soil without a coffin normally takes ten to twelve years to decompose fully to a skeleton, given a temperate climate.

    A handy resource

I especially like the way people are ordered alphabetically by forename, rather than surname

    Hey, Rude Kid!

Not only slagged her off - but it appears he picked her for his list on the 9th June, and then questioned her famousness on the 21st I've a good mind to set Otis on him for his cheek

    Hey, Rude Kid!

GR - don't even joke about that! I made the mistake of starting to read the posts, and 2 hours later my head is spinning He could make weatherman look like an immature 14 year old with too much time on his hands. Oh - forgot, he was And btw, isn't ethics some county in England? I believe Princess Alice is Duchess of Ethics

    Here's a contender...

I understand in the England v Portugal matches, the keeper isn't required to make any saves

    Fred Dibnah

Full Steam Ahead after Palace Date Looks like Fred managed to get to Buck Palace safe and well, and received his MBE. Of special interest to DL members may be the tail end of the article What's the betting there won't be a second series of the TV program?

Doesn't he get any bonus points for spelling mistakes, caused by his fingers working faster than his brain?

This is what happens when Grim Reaper closes the one thread that seemed to keep the Hurricane ranters under one roof Now we have another thread where they can all take pot shots

Sorry Faustus, but I understand that John Paul II has already got a marker on it. Course, thats if he outlasts the General

    Marlon Brando

Just noticed the news on Yahoo, but thought I would come here to check, given that we seem to be becoming the premier provider of death notices (as with Ronnie). Imagine my suprise to find 45 guests, all doing the same!! Do you think we might get to no1 on Google this time around?

    Albert Hofmann

Is there a doctor or scientist in the house that can offer advice to Kommunist on a good drug to invent. Working on the basis that Albert Hoffman discovered the effects of LSD by testing it on himself, could I suggest a drug with Conium maculatum as a base

    Rod Stewart

I believe the medical term for his condition is pennium lancasterum shaggium syndrome And my apologies for not knowing the Swedish terminology for that. I feel sure someone will tell me soon

    Ronald Reagan

And there was me thinking Cicero spoke Latin. Looks like he was quite good at Swedish as well

    Rodney Dangerfield

Okay, so I said it was casual research. I didn't say it was good research!! Turns out that Angels with Angles was made years ago, just never released. George Burns was probably alive when it was made, its that old. So, just to set the record straight, I found an interview with Rodney published only 6 days ago. There seems to be some good news... 'When I get back to L.A., in about two weeks to four weeks, I gotta go and have another heart operation' The interview goes on to say 'dying isn't all it's cracked up to be, and Dangerfield knows it. He may not have a lot of livin' to do, but he's got some' Perhaps we should leave some messages in his guest book, and let him know just how much dying would mean to us. I feel sure he would see the funny side

    Tammy Faye Messner

Thank you for that Typhoid Harry. There is just so much material there that lends itself to smart comment, that I don't know where to begin So, I will restrict myself to one quote, and leave the rest for other ... And if God is asking for a private performance at his place, it will be the happiest day of all our lives

    Rodney Dangerfield

Doing a little casual research, I notice that Rodney has a new film out this year. Angels with Angles Looks like the brain surgey has not hampered his abilities. Having said that, one of his co-stars is George Burns, a Deathlist sucess 8 years ago!! Although they claim it is CGI, I think we may need an external audit of the 1996 score. I have reason to believe that one of the moderators is an accountant, and we all know how much they can be trusted
  24. I would reckon after the one tonight, he is now even more a prime candidate (if there is such a thing). I think that might well scupper any plans Chelsea had to bring him back to Britain. He probably wouldn't get through immigration - although I can see a great future for him if he ever wants to play in Portugal! Mrs Teddy, ever the football expert, reckons it was his shorts. They weren't tight enough to keep his golden balls from interfering with his run up

    Buster Bloodvessel

According to the Bad Manners site, Buster recently underwent an operation. To quote '25 May 2004 - Last Saturday, Buster finally had an operation to combat his obesity. Having been on the waiting list since September 2002, the operation came in at the last minute. The surgeons removed half of Buster's intestine, which will obviously speed things up internally. The doctor's advised that Buster could be down to 12 stone within 18 months. Consequently we have had to cancel the first part of the tour, dates for Middlesbrough and Luton are already in and we will be back in Bradford fairly soon. Buster feels fit and well and is looking forward to seeing everybody, when he starts back to work on 4th June.' The site lists tour dates all the way through to December (albeit a large number to be confirmed), so looks like Buster may be with us a while yet.
