The biggest victim is going to be my old "never 11 without the 12th" gag. Also, as Book actually keeps tabs on my Shadow list each year in their thread, I was at 8/50 for 2021. Not really a golden year for my deadpool predictions!

I think you're probably right given some of the music folk tweeting it before I went to bed. Time will tell rather rapidly though.

I've seen healthier corpses, sadly.

Very weis comment, imo. Ahem.

I will be vague, she is currently in the top 103...

21 lists in before Christmas Day, which is certainly a record from when I used to run this - not sure on the Joey Years. Our current number one has a 90 point lead and has appeared on 18 of 21 teams. And would be a newcomer to TCD. Meanwhile I had to Google one of the names getting traction - but it was one of those "ah, its them" faces. Anyhow, plenty of time before the final whistle yet.

Cunts are as cunts will do, probably, but Al-Fayed might be a better pick because he is meant to be in failing health now...

The 2016 edition went out on the 23rd, thereby dooming Rick Parfitt, Carrie Fisher, Debbie Reynolds and George fn Michael in the hours after.

Given you are on the Cmme, we'd hope so, else this post is a bit Jack Palance in Shane. "You all saw him, he picked a FFBI pick..." (Yes, before any pedants reply, I do know Bill Hicks made that entire story up. It's still funny.)

Joan Collins ultra glamorous British actress and Hollywood star
msc replied to Gooseberry Crumble's topic in DeathList Forum
Clearly puts her longevity down to no eating any of that awful broccoli. -
Thanks, that makes who he is so much clearer now.

Not your finest work here, Joey.

Not so bad a "msc needs to take his own tips seriously" fail as my mention of her being frail on Netflix was actually in early 2018. Weirdly looking it up, Spade offered another person looking frail on Netflix as a reply (Sylvia Weinstock) and it turns out she died less than a month ago. Ideas thread quirk of fate!

Yeah that was a genuine shocker. Even more than Morris fn Perry.

Out of respect for the dead, if he is properly dead this time, I won't go into what a cunt that guy was.

Watched that Whitehouse/Mortimer Christmas special earlier and went to find the Chris Rea thread, which was the first reminder that not only had I seen this episode a year ago, it had been discussed on the forum, and I'd fucking talked about it and all. You ever have one of those years? Anyhow, timely reminder that with his pancreatic cancer escapades, general diabetes, a few serious strokes, 35 pills a day to survive and now kidney failure to add to his list of woes, Rea's continued breathing is up there in Lemmy miracle territory these days.

No, I didn't see it. Uhm, mostly because there was no major Welsh or N Irish newspapers in comparison to the Scottish ones known to yours truly. The largest Welsh daily I'm aware of is Western Mail which only has a circulation of around 10, 000, The Belfast Telegraph could have been brought up, but there was no great call (to date) for it to be involved. The Herald and Daily Record (which were reverts to previous QOs allowed before a previous host cut down the number in 2016) were on as the former is one of the "papers of record" and the latter is one of the most read dailys in the UK. The N Irish issue was attempted to be fixed with the return of UTV as a specific qualifying source. Then, sods law, they didn't cover the one N Irish case this was assumed they would! As the game always likes to listen to players and be fair, I'm sure if you brought up some quality Welsh obituary sources previously unknown to the Cmme or forum, they could at a later date be considered for use? That's how several of the current QOs came into use.

Its a good (but long) film but on the two times I have tried to watch I've found myself actor spotting instead!

I mean, I got the gist of that (keep us updated on Bardot's (?) health, she's DLy) but now I wonder if this how all of my uber-Scottish/British culture jokes read to Reptile and Book...

"That's where he made all his jokes, that's where he played hide and seek with the boys, over there's where he shagged Zsa Zsa Gabor..."

Also, it's Berlusconi. After 30 odd years or so, I'm more shocked when he isn't elected in Italy.
-
Nah, he made a public spectacle of himself yesterday, he was fair game to mention.

Very telling, isn't it, that pretty much every bit of that can be answered with "our government are shite". Government* has gone on and on about the NHS while cutting its budget. Now there are lots of areas where the NHS could be made more efficient, like (to pick one example) salaries paid to part-time consultant doctors who spend most of their hours working in private health care. But most of the cuts went to front line staffing, employing and equipment. There's bits of the NHS in England and Scotland where entire hospitals are running off of 20% staff (nurses, doctors, cleaners, the whole lot) with little government interest in dealing with this lopsided issue, so when a pandemic hit there was already an extreme shortage of beds, nurses, masks, etc. Because the UK has run off a "that'll do" short termism for as long as I can recall, and well, this happens. Also, we (the UK) had a pandemic plan in 2018 from Ben Wallace that got scrapped as soon as Boris Johnson went into office. There is no end to the man talents in being a completely useless wanker. We've spent two decades assuming there will not a time like this, and when it came, we were fucked well beyond what we should have been. *tbf, Blair did this too.
-
Disgraceful, we should sack the person in charge of the page and replace them with someone more efficient! (Lapses in communication basically. Afaik the LOTL is up to date re missing obits but there might be a WEP type pick hidden down the back of a sofa somewhere.)

Well he was very public yesterday, the sod! Still one or two under my hat with more potential, but they'll be names a lot of folk are keeping under their hats!
