Sheila Reid has looked decrepit for about 40 years. Tim Healy looked ghastly last I saw him on TV, doubt he has too long left now. (And Johnny Vegas has always struck me as a HA in waiting.) As long as any curses avoid Steve Pemberton...

It did feel ominous. A good actor, sad news.

Jimmy Greaves the 14th hit for the slightly forgotten Crowdsourced Deathlist!

I said no one yesterday so I might as well stick with that.

177/196 - aced Europe and South America, then I remember a bunch of the small islands but forget obvious African and Asian countries till late in the time allowed. My misses in the spoiler tag: -
He's 92 in October, and last I heard (caveat - pre-covid days) doing well. He saved his money well and decided to retire his 60s to watch his family grow up, and fish. He did show up in a music video for his sons mediocre band in 2007 which he briefly talks about here: But otherwise, quiet retirement. Good actor, always a good chap to see in things. Here he is in January 2021:

I cannot stress how happy I am that I don't have to deal with that in December/January!

I've gone optimis... nah, None of the Above.

Well, I know you're keen, but I'm not sure a middle ranking African leader really counts as an enema!
-
I'd like to thank @odeon for his sterling jinxing efforts on behalf of the DL here...

Has missed the last 7 weeks of TV due to COPD health issues and hasn't tweeted in over a month. This is basically the "msc posts updates on the guy all the non-wrestling fans have in their DDP team" thread somehow...

I hate to break the party momentarily, but 1992 had a longer drought (175 days) as did 1993 (165 days). 2021 is hours away from taking over 9th longest DL drought spot all time on its own though.

Cap'n Chorizo's gonna be snookering you tonight? Huh, is that a hint for 2022? You're looking at John Virgo?

Whose death will actually break your heart?

Oh everyone hated Cilla Black. Except Paul O'Grady... -
Picked by Coffin Fit and Trojan Hearse (2 teams). Sad news. I genuinely thought he'd age gracefully into becoming a DL mainstay one day.

Well, they've gone 15 years without it now - a lack of something normally kills demand with time.* Also, I feel like (and this is a gut feeling, so nowt to prove it) that the old chart shows influenced the charts by what they chose to show, and their presenters shilling, so the charts became more varied than they'd otherwise be. The number of times John Peel would go "this is one you'll all love" was almost like watching The Demon Headmaster in action! Whereas without that, people stick to what they know, in limited spheres of interest? tbh it's not the most annoyed I've been with the BBC over something like this (that'll be their axing of non-cool demographic stuff in 2009-2010 under Jay Hunt, like seemingly nearly anything on weekend TV that scored highly with OAPs) but it remains one of those holes in the schedule. *Yes, I know, Doctor Who, but that was an outlier.

Something really weird goes on with the BBC and their old music shows, because whenever they repeat them (or do one off specials) they rate quite highly, but they absolutely refuse to bring in a current one despite being regularly inundated with requests, with the excuse being no one will watch them. It can't even be Saville related as it extends from before he was outed.

Although the wrestling QO thing is still relatively new - Nick Bockwinkel (a HOFer, fyi) died in 2015 without a single QO, which scared me off Blackjack Mulligan and Smith Hart, both of whom got obits with nae bother. Found out this week that Marc Wilkinson is apparently still with us. Not a name that would jump out at most but I like to think going "oh the Blue Remembered Hills/If... composer" immediately marks him as notable, if not household! Whereas if a week goes by without you or Willz or Toast or drol or Spade or any number of others interested in stuff outside my sphere bring up someone clearly notable but previously unknown to me, then that's a wasted DL week imo. Or even within my sphere of interest, after all, nobody knows every actor or writer in the world.

First page says DDP qo sources count so ITV is a qualifying obit here. As does the express.

Took ill a few weeks ago, heart issues, had an op. I am as shocked as I was when I learnt bleached water couldn't save Colin Meads from pancreatic cancer here...

This forum is full of hilariously terrible predictions regarding death. Who doesn't remember Death Impends cursing Abe Vigoda, or "Fats Domino will see 90", or the curious case of Sir Creep, Howard Marks and some curly wurlys. Or indeed, any post by mine you wish to bring up, "Reg Presley is doing better" 2 month before he died comes to mind. But never mind all that, what's are some of the best calls you've seen on the forum? When posters bring up a celeb who doesn't seem to be in immediate trouble, but lo and behold they snuffed it within a reasonable short time frame. Like Weebl and John Wetton, or whoever it was that said Dale Winton looked rough (I forget), or any thread started by Paul Bearer seemingly, etc. Thread inspired by a Sean post. Now, don't know if you've noticed, but our Sean loves lists. Lots of them. Pot, kettle, black, you say? But here's a shortlist of 6 from July 2013: Three oldies, three chronically ill folk with nothing pressingly immediate. 4 of the 6 died that DDP year (2014) and all 6 were dead within 2 years.

I thought that was Mott the Hoople. And he also created Monopoly, Twenty-one, Checkers and Chess. Yeah yeah yeah yeah..

Has her own thread. Alas, not well at all.

Spade called it a while ago.

Elena Baltacha! Still properly gutted by that one. She had a lot of talent and I think she'd had have done far better if not for the life limiting health problems which wound up killing her in the end.
