The actors bit is a bit unneeded (imo its either pejorative or aimed for people too thick to be on DL) but so it goes. It is a very difficult form of entertainment to pen down into a category admittedly - athletic theatre doesn't have many other candidates bar some of the wilder circus shows.

At the rate they are being posted, this is actually that example of something you could create a new thread for then, in that case. There is an MMA thread but its a bit too niche for what you are after.

Hah, sorry. Our main man is still inconclusive, to the point someone might need to request the certificate from Brighton if it exists. (He was a known person in fan circles, to the point of phone number and address, and had a lot of friends in acting - I find it astounding if he was able to die 3 weeks ago without a single RIP tweet, Facebook message or reference in a local paper. So the longer without confirmation the more sceptical I get. Judy Norman's death was just announced about a month after it happened and she was considerably less famous...)

According to this post, Arthur Cox died a few weeks ago. Hearing from other sources its legit. Facebook (the forum isn't embedding again) Yes Minister, The Sweeney, Poirot, Dr Who, a familiar TV face.

I see you noted Lord Christopher's absence too. Lord Clarke (Labour, 89, not Ken) went on one last week too. Also Derry Irvine was a regular voter in the Lords until the pandemic started and has just gone on a leave of absence last month?

Also cirrhosis of the liver and the signs of dementia. What is this, the Pokemon approach to end stage illnesses - gotta catch them all?

As said before, this is sensational work, Ulitzer. Tempted to send you hunting for family mysteries at this rate. (Although not so keen on the news that everyones TV granny might have age catching up with her, but tempus fugit. Garbutt is def dead, I got the news off his son. Didn't he get a QO? Apparently not, Google says. That's a fucker and a half...

Think how old that makes poor old LFN, who remembers debating the Duke of Wellington, feel?

Alan Ladd Jr has been a tempting pick for a year or two as he showed up on the BBC to talk about one of the new Star Wars films and looked like fucking shit.

2001: "Did you do it?" "No." "OK." 2011: "Did you do it?" "No!" "Oh, ok..." 2021: "Come on, didn't you do it?" "NOOO!" "You're not being fair..."

^ In terms of bringing useful information that might have skipped most of us by, contender for one of the best new posters on the forum in quite some time imo.

Missed some online course on sexual harassment as she was recovering from open-heart surgery last year, apparently. She's also selling off her possessions as she is selling her London home to move to a cottage in the countryside - retirement from the Lords pending? I don't care that the Crem has ninja'd this after an hour, the extra details are of interest to us, imo.

Gist: Died in his home in Liez, a small town north of Paris, where he lived as a full time painter/artist since the 1970s. Credits him as a writer of great skill, and light touch. He remained a regular actor on French TV, apparently, and wrote books on art and religious art. Had had several exhibitions of his artwork just before the pandemic and seems to have been a popular local figure in that part of France. Died on the 16th April, no cause of death given. In The Avengers episode The Correct Way to Kill, he runs the gentlemans outfitters shop the conspiracy is using.

Telegraphs got a bit on the front page about Marianne being unable to sing anymore due to long covid issues. Looking around she's done a big interview with Uncut (snippets unpaywalled) where she notes her declining health and memory issues, and another with The Age, all for the new album. Telegraph piece not online yet so don't know if there's any new info in it. Anyhow, she does have COPD and overcame a covid coma last year which is worth a standing ovation itself. "I managed not to die" she tells Uncut. Legend.

What is it with Worcestershire sauce memes lately? Like that "have you ever bought a second bottle" one. About 2-3 bottles a year, roughly... -
I spent ages trying to fix the age of one of our writers after Wiki got it wrong because it annoyed them - Wiki wouldn't even accept a copy of their *birth certificate* as evidence at the time as it was "original research" and so continued to reference wrong blog posts!

He came up in school as one of the living civil rights activists from the 50s/60s.

All I'm saying is if Zorders is allowed back, bring back Deathray. -
LOL at the top 3 comment - HDS is only in their 2nd DDP year and last year they didn't even finish in the top 50! The only real difference between your lot and mine so far is the joker points. And adjusting for points inflation 36th now is equivalent of top 20 a decade or so ago. (Also look at some of the regular top 20 sides you are currently ahead of...)

David Battie and Roger Norrington for Drop 40 2022 then?

As long as Michael Palin's still awesome, I'm cool... Yeah, and its nowt to do with right/left either. There are a fair few conservative minded comics who are bloody hilarious* and a few heart on sleeve socialist ones who are as dull as dishwater .** And I've had and got ancient relatives who make me look like Boris Johnson in comparison in their politics! *To name but a few - Kenneth Williams, Kenny Everett, Alan Coren, Tommy Cooper iirc. ** Most of the alternate comics from the 80s who weren't Rik Mayall/Ade or Alexei Sayle but both are my own subjective view of course... -
No, I wouldn't hear till later if true. Its a one time only edit on Wiki made from Brighton, though.

One of those out of the blue old folk dying in their sleep ones, I see. Forgot he was on the list too. Best known for me for this Reagan debate quip: Reagan and the age issue - YouTube
