In other words, its the biggest bollocks reason to argue since that time someone started talking up how significant deaths were!
-
This puts me back into a narrow average age related lead against Book again. Tough cup game, this.
-
Unfair comparison too - Philip was considered the son of God on at least one island (and oddly it wasn't even ours!). (Actually, did you see the documentary about 20 years ago where some of the islanders came to London and got to meet Philip? Paraphrasing from memory, he told them that one day he would return to the spirit world, but then return again in another form, basically protecting their entire religion and culture against the inevitable - which was more kind and tactful than some might think of him as a diplomat...)
-
Category 1 deaths include the immediate ceasing of all programmes on BBC1/2/4 - oddly reassuring to see all the gumf is actually true. Anyhow, I can think why they did it and its all political rather than respect.
-
Just to ruin the tone completely, as someone who has childhood memories of the news when that plane hit the apartment block in Holland in the early 90s, 1 in 250, 000 is a bit high for my liking.

I think she was 2nd or 3rd sub for me because I hummed and hawwed about her well up to the deadline. She did seem like a potential sleeper pick at the time.
-
Hah, yeah, that happens to me too a lot.
-
I still think the tradition of the monarch* outliving a child will continue. *them or the monarch's other half to be accurate but obviously Philip wont be doing that now.
-
Hah, no, honestly, just the other day me and Reptile were discussing the most improved players of late and your name came up from both of us. I believe you are back in the DDP top 10 again as it stands.
-
I dropped him also, and The Terminator (aka Book) didn't!
-
Man, Nicholas Witchell has got old since I last saw him.
-
Dead, apparently. EDIT - Oh I legit thought I'd beat Thatcher for once!

I really hate the way they squash the credits to show a trailer or something else these days. Or play them at 100 miles an hour. It feels disrespectful to assume no one cares about the team who just put together the thing you just watched imo. Ritter I'd seen in a few things (according to his credits, more than I knew I had, he blended into characters) but he felt like he was just getting some recognition last few years for stuff like Chernobyl and Friday Night Dinner and was going to go onto bigger things this decade. Which is the fucker.
-
And if it were true (spoiler - I agree, its not), it'd be 0.0003% of the people who got the jab. Which is lower than the average you'd expect from natural causes!
-
Wasn't that the Boudicca route to the final?
-
tbh neither had I and his seat is within 20 miles of here!

Checking it, you picked a Gray who is a Tory MP for Wiltshire (very south of England near Bath, I think) - the Gray who resigned is an SNP guy for Airdrie near Glasgow.

Political Discussions And Ranting Thread
msc replied to Deathray's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
I'm not, because apparently in their cross tabs the total number of Brexit Party 2019 voters polled in this thing was...13! 13 people weighting 1/4th of a polling which is already underpolled for numbers is a bit shit. Just pointing out you can't use this poll to determine where Brexit votes will go - I do however agree that Labour are in deep trouble here, which is a separate issue. -
As a Clyde valley resident I'd be more concerned about those nukes in the Holy Loch. Or not, because in the small chance anything goes badly wrong with them, folk in Glasgow wont know a thing about it. It'll be the folk in Edinburgh and north England who die slowly. I'm great at helping folk's anxieties, I am.

Oh, why not, the most niche list ever. People Ric Flair beat for wrestling titles. Various World Titles 1. 17/9/1981 – Dusty Rhodes (1945-2015, died after a combination of cancer and a fall.) 2. 9/2/1982 – Dusty Rhodes (see above) 3. 7/9/1982 – Jack Veneno (1942-2021) 4. 10/1/1983 – Carlos Colon (b. 1948, big name in Puerto Rican wrestling, helped cover up Bruiser Brody’s murder, inducted into the WWE HOF in 2014.) 5. 11/2/1983 - Victor Jovica (b. 1945, another Puerto Rican name and WWC promoter there) 6. 24/11/1983 – Harley Race (1943-2019, the great Harley Race died after a battle with lung cancer.) 7. 23/3/1984 – Harley Race (see above) 8. 24/5/1984 – Kerry Von Erich (1960-93 – shot himself) 9. 9/8/1986 – Dusty Rhodes (see above) 10. 26/11/1987 – Ronnie Garvin (b 1945) 11. 7/5/1989 – Ricky Steamboat b. 1953, had to retire from active competition in 2010 after a near fatal haemorrhage but seems in OK nick for it, inducted into the WWE HOF in 2009.) 12. 11/1/1991 – Sting (b. 1959, currently active in AEW as manager/wrestler, inducted into the WWE HOF in 2016 - fun note, he patented the name before the singer, who pays royalties to the wrestler to use the name.) 13. 19/5/1991 – Tatsumi Fujinami (b. 1953, still wrestlers, inducted into the WWE HOF in 2015) 1/9/1992 - WWE title - Randy Savage 14. 18/7/1993 – Barry Windham (b. 1960 – suffers from the traditional Windham family heart problems, had a serious HA few years back, inducted into the WWE HOF in 2012.) 15. 27/12/1993 – Vader (1955-2018) 16. 21/4/1994 – Ricky Steamboat (see above) 17. 23/6/1994 – Sting (see above) 18. 27/12/1995 – Randy Savage (1952-2011, died due to heart attack/car crash combination just as he seemed to be getting his life back on track.) 19. 11/2/1996 – also Randy Savage 20. 14/3/1999 – Hulk Hogan (b. 1953, you know who he is.) 21. 7/5/2000 – Jeff Jarrett (b. 1967, works backstage for WWE, inducted into the WWE HOF in 2018) 22. 29/5/2000 – Kevin Nash (b. 1959, legit 7-footer, full time career ended in-ring after a heart attack in 2005 but still managed to pull off 2 Rumble appearances and 1 ladder match in the last decade, because nutter. For a 7-footer with heart problems he seems in decent health these days, but has spent 15 years telling interviews he wont see 70 due to a history of heart issues in his family. A two time Hall of Fame inductee (2013 and 2020).) Won the Mid-Atlantic World title 4 times, each time off Wahoo McDaniel who died in 2002. TV titles 1. 8/2/1975 – Paul Jones (1942-2018) 2. 4/4/1977 – Rufus R Jones (1933-93) US title 1. 29/7/1977 – Bobo Brazil (1924-98) 2. 9/4/1978 – Mr Wrestling (1934-2002) 3. 1/4/1979 – Ricky Steamboat (see above) 4. 19/4/1980 – Jimmy Snuka (1943-2017) 5. 24/11/1980 – Greg Valentine (b. 1950) 6. 7/7/1996 – Konnan (b. 1964, a number of kidney related health issues in recent years) Tag title opponents not previously mentioned 1. 4/7/1974 – Bob Bruggers (b. 1944, retired after the famous plane crash in 1975.) 2. 6/7/1977 – Dino Bravo (1948-93, rather infamously murdered, possibly by mob connections.) 3. 6/7/1977 – Tiger Conway Jr (b. 1953) 4. 26/12/1976 – Gene Anderson (1939-91, heart attack) 5. 26/12/1976 – Ole Anderson (b. 1942, MS and burned every bridge in wrestling over past 40 years by being grumpy fucker.) 6. 8/8/1979 – Baron Von Raschke (b. 1940) 7. 14/12/2003 – Dvon Dudley (b. 1972 works for WWE but recently suffering a “health issue”.) 8. 14/12/2003 – Bubba Ray Dudley (the Dudleys were one of the greatest tag teams of the past 30 years, inducted into the WWE HOF in 2018. Still wrestles.) 9. 22/3/2004 – Booker T (b. 1965, inducted into the WWE HOF in 2013 and 2019 – still regularly appears and looks great.) 10. 22/3/2004 – Rob Van Dam (b. 1970, inducted into the WWE HOF in 2021 – still wrestles but has signs of early health decline from his style – the repeat headaches, memory issues etc) 11. 5/11/2006 – Kenny Doane (b. 1986 12. 5/11/2006 – Mike Mondo (b. 1983) IC title 1. 18/9/2005 – Carlito (b. 1979 – Carlos Colon’s son, made a recent appearance in the Royal Rumble.) Yeah, it seemed like he was just starting to building some momentum too with Friday Night Dinner and Chernobyl too before the pandemic.

Died this morning, I just heard. EDIT - Jeremy Hunt confirms it on Twitter. Jeremy Hunt on Twitter: "Another terrible sadness today: the loss of Dr Paul Cosford, emeritus medical director at Public Health England. A distinguished & inspiring leader who led with his humanity and compassion. He also fought his cancer with great courage and dignity. RIP Paul from your many friends" / Twitter

Had no idea she was ill tbh. Also wondering what black magic Biblio conjured for the by-election bingo, its raining them all of a sudden.

An actual Tory death related by-election. First in 16 years.
