Ah are you new to BC Alum? I remember well his posts about SIGNIFICANT deaths back in 2009. Set the benchmark for "why hasn't so and so died? Are they teasing us? Person then dies a month later" posts.

Although I have just learned that Colin Jeavons family have turned down requests for interviews/fan stuff in the past decade "due to his health". That said, just found a photo of him from January and he's looking good for 91!

@Ulitzer95 @Octopus of Odstock to the best of my knowledge, Roy Evans is still around (and was well in 2017 aged 87) but prefers to shun publicity and keep to a quiet retirement like many other elderly actors. (The best living example being Colin Jeavons, who counted his savings after House of Cards in the early 90s and decided he'd prefer to relax for the next 30 years, and more power to him!) Roy is known personally to some of the bigger fans in TV production/writing still so I think we'd know fairly quickly if he died.

    Hollywood Possibilities

Mentioned a few weeks ago with the 1923 names. The DDP write ups shall continue, I managed to get a few out during the week there with painkillers (allergy flare up - not anything for anyone else to worry about) but hoping things will be more normal by end of this week.

Brian Peck dead according to one of his friends on Twitter. A UK TV regular in the 70s through 00s, recognisable "oh that guy" face imo. tve60108-3-330.jpg (320×240) (aveleyman.com) Rob Cope on Twitter: "Just heard my lovely friend, the actor Brian Peck has passed away at his home in France today, aged 90. Brian had a long and illustrious stage and TV career. I have happy memories of laughing and gossiping with him and his wife Jennifer Wilson in Cannes. RIP dear friend. https://t.co/cJ34BjVJaJ" / Twitter Not to be confused with the American kids TV paedophile of the same name. (Ah, links and posts are fecked again - will fix this when the admin wake up and fix it again...)

In the DDP alone, 84 teams have him.

Yes, his son Alfred Enoch (Harry Potter films actor) was born December 1988 - younger than me! Also, only the 500 *most* per year - I didn't realise there was so many!

Oddly Wiki references Laurie Webb being born in 1924 but not at the top of the page. He's still alive, here's a picture of him Christmas 2017 when well enough to still provide thoughts for a Dr Who DVD release. As for William Russell, I posted this last year: and I have heard within the last couple of weeks that age has begun to catch up considerably with him, and that he is "not in a good way". Words that are genuinely painful to write as obviously William is very dear to Who fans (and classic British TV fans tbh - Sir Lancelot et all, and I am both!).

    Band Aid

Francis Rossi just showed up on a Channel 5 music doc and has aged quite substantially in the 2-3 years since I last saw him in anything. So much so I had to rewind the TV to see who it actually was talking.

Thoughts and Opinions on the 2021 Deathlist

I've known about James Lovelock for...about 25 years now as he came up in a course topic in primary school! He was referred to as an old scientist back then and all!

Yeah, Marsh had some notability - not just in his profession, but as a semi-regular TV/radio expert and he had a TV documentary about his career about 15-20 years ago iirc. I think if you can go "oh yeah that guy" they pass the FFBI bar (unless its oh yeah that FFBI guy of course!).

    The 2021 Deathlist Cup

Breaking down the Book v msc match up Msc Angelicoussis - Shipping magnate, had a massive HA a fortnight ago and was in serious condition then. My last choice was him or Menounos. Burquest (unique) - The obligatory "still alive?" pick Cain - Scraping the bottom of the barrel pick, a high school football coach - The type people keep scoring against me with! I told Joey it was a "very Banana type pick" and there goes Banana's unique... Champagne - drummer, covid, deteriorated and on ventilator. Hickox - low budget film maker that Peter Andre very nicely told the world was in a coma. Lubbock - some talk earlier in month of having "weeks left". Raboteau - Reptile posted last month the guy was on his last legs. Book Arends - dying American politician. Terminally ill but not sure what with. Reuven Bulka - Advanced pancreatic cancer Shalom Kadosh - Chef, critical condition. Look at his other pickers, could be a bad miss for me on paper. Langhans (unique) - Filmmaker with terminal cancer Litsa Menounos - In hospice care now, apparently - likely to be my biggest error of the month. Philip Mickenbaucker - the YouTube guy, my lack of German might have made me miss Langhhans and Mickenbaucker updates. Prince Philip - If he dies now because I dropped him, Gooseberry will be talking about enemas for years! Both Bjelland - Popular hospice dwelling singer. Dole - popular A list politician with advanced cancer. Kasvi - imo Arghtons local knowledge for ailing Nordic picks one of the best additions to the forum in some time, and I see a few of us picked up on this hospice dwelling seriously ill Finn. Timoteo (joker of both) - Singer seriously ill with covid. I picked my joker at random, so am amazed Book came up with the exact same one. So it is 7 vs 7, and on paper imo Book's 7 differentials look stronger, but I think it could be close. Watch me lose a 22 point Squonking now!

Nice, good work, Joey. And looks like a tough match against Book this month - with a shared not so obvious joker too!

    Dementia afflicted footballers

Yeah, they seem to have done a Faustian pact to get back in the Premier League, even signed the great Bielsa-bub as their manager. Mick Bates is likely the next of Revie's boys to go - the talk on Leeds fan forums is months to live.

    Dementia afflicted footballers

@Octopus of Odstock A bit of Chinese whispers I've picked up from previously decent sources that I thought I'd see if you knew anything about. Apparently Terry Yorath (of Leeds, Spurs and Wales fame) was convalescing in 2019 at the Leeds Recovery Hub, which is currently for covid, but was at the time mostly specialising in dementia care.

Actress Myra Frances has died after a private battle with cancer aged 77, according to her husband, Peter Egan. Survivors, Doctor Who, The Sweeney among her credits. (Also allegedly the first lesbian kiss on UK TV.)

Hmm, noticing the avatars gone, is @Ulitzer95 away? Been a bit busy this month but I was enjoying the discovery of hidden gems among the aging acting lot.

That's a bit of a can of worms! (Number 35 on the 1993 list, which Cmme members have publicly regretted since...)

    Monty Python

The second series took years to write (as the marriage was falling apart) and Booth refused to speak about the show for 30 years or so afterwards, although she did later give the OK for the stage version. So maybe? I did have a book on this somewhere - possibly in storage from one of many moves - where they interviewed all the Pythons about the 70s, and John Cleese basically moans about everyone - Gilliam for being a budget killer on the films, Jones for being a perfectionist, Chapman for his alcoholism, Palin for being "too damned nice"! But he did mention about Fawlty Towers that (paraphrased) "Connie wrote it and I got the praise".
  23. msc

    Monty Python

She also wrote vast chunks of Fawlty Towers (Cleese once admitted it was in the region of 70%+).
  24. PS He's standing on the list for Alba in May. So that could be three (likely more) byelections this year - who DID @Bibliogryphon pray to for more excitement in his byelection bingo?
  25. This was Joanna Cherry's moment to be first and she couldn't even manage that. They've got Corrie Wilson too, off of shit MPs the Tories beat.
