To be honest, if I win, we all lose...

No reason for him to QO whatsoever.
-
Robert Jobson mentioning it is a bit more credible than Twitter rumours but even so, time will tell.
-
Its Philip, for all we know his choices words could be "Shagging an actress? Get in there, my son!"
-
Yes, that's my one claim to fame on this forum - trailblazing the banning of FFBI picks from our various deadpools. Well that and all the crap, crap jokes.
-
Sigh. John Lennon and Paul McCartney's complete falling out (which started before Yoko appeared on the scene) and George Harrisons inability to take more of their shit split up the Beatles. Not anyone else.

Although given the show itself is 58 years old this year...

Ah my favourite Queen Mum story in one of those books about the royal family. Someone gifted her a vast amount of champagne ahead of a family visit in her 90s, and she thanked them and said "And if they don't show up, I'll polish it off myself!"

Despite folk knowing she was frail, there was nowt on Margaret until she died - likely as her final illness was relatively quick. There was regular bulletins on George VI but...the last ones had been of improved health as it wasn't the cancer which did for him in the end, it was heart failure brought on by it.

There's no rush, he's not going anywhere if he does die. There's no Rush either after the 4th hit, come to think of it.

Play School - Play Away - Childrens TV

Looks like a heavy smoker. Rest of them seem in good nick. In fact going off how he looked in the late 90s I'm not entirely convinced Peter Purves has aged at all in the last 20 years. -

contestants Peter Purves, Lesley Judd, Jane Tucker, Freddy Marks, Dave Benson Phillips, Mike Read, Kirsten O'Brien and Terrence Hardiman. Purves and Hardiman in 80s but looked good for it last I saw them.Jane and Freddy ones to watch for imo. -
ATM Machine is a duo for me and La Faucheuse.

Normally I'm inclined to disbelieve Philip rumours but in this case with Charles changing his plans to move from Gloucester in the current climate, I think you're right.
-
^ Kidney transplant during his TNA run iirc? Dory Funk Jr showed up on this weeks AEW Dynamite, looking, quite frankly, very good for an 80 year old former pro-wrestler. I mean, "breathing" for one of them is bloody good, but even then...

Aye its in the back of the memory... (Luckily Google is our friend - died Friday night, announced by the BBC on the Saturday morning!)
-
Oh no, I completely agree - The Black Cat, Pit and the Pendulum, Masque of the Red Death etc were my introductions to Poe, and its oft forgotten he trained up Coppola and Scorcese (and many others) in how to make budget Hollywood mogul attention grabbing films. He's certainly a name I'm surprised the DL hasn't gone for yet.

via a name on one of Gooseberrys teams, two film directors born in 1932 I didn't know were still around: Mike Hodges (Get Carter), interviewed here last July, and 50s Roger Corman produced horror Beast from Haunted Cave director Monte Hellman, who went onto produce Reservoir Dogs and still writes bits and bobs.

Runaway leader in the theme team league when its updated, though.

Watching some of the new episodes taped second half of 2020 and imo this is correct. He's certainly got the post-stroke look and sound to him like Andrew Marr when he returned to TV. -
Mexican (and WCW) legend Konnan in hospital, apparently recovering after being seriously ill with covid.
-
Yes, well, we all know he is fucked now. Drop 40 in danger of becoming the Reapers to do list this year...

The maths is somewhere on this forum but I can't find it and its a bit beyond me. (But iirc no, its higher because we're talking a small portion of the public by default?)

Hmm, contextually, yes, there is little real difference in the 5 year prognosis stats for lung cancer between 60 and 99 - but then, it's 13% for 60 year olds and 6% for folk Doles age - not so far to drop when its already grim territory. The two lung cancer stats (Stage IV prognosis, survival rates in the over 90s) spell grim reading for any fans of Bob Dole. Like Bob Dole.
