Well, that's one future DDP spelling horror restored.
-
There are folk on instagram earning $50k per post. 1% of that would be enough to make me jealous!
-
Yes, but I am looking at their eversion through the paywall and can't find it. So this may be a shit out of luck scenario.

Can confirm this one from 25+ years ago. Got the opportunity once to thank him for a fair few memorable books/stories from my childhood and he was very gracious and kind about it. One of the names that are a no go area for me and my deadpools teams, tbh.

Some living suggestions: Donald Pelmear (1924) - Yes Minister, Poirot, Dr Who Morris Perry (1925) - Crown Court, Hound of the Baskervilles Oscar Quitak (1926) - A Very British Coup, Howards End (and shitloads tbh) Lee Montague (1927) - Bergerac June Flewett (1927) - Crown Court (also Clement Freud's widow) Michael Craig (1928) - Triangle, Dr Who (more an old school film actor but done lots of TV and a great actor) Sarah Lawson (1928) - 50s TV regular Gerald Harper (1929) - Adam Adamant Lives (although Wiki now claims a birth of 1931? Either way he counts) Clifford Rose (1929) - Pallisers, Secret Army Damaris Hayman (1929) - Doctor Who Maria Charles (1929) - Corrie, Never the Twain Gary Watson (1930) - Z-cars Una McLean (1930) - Taggart, River City (and Russell Hunter's widow) Trevor Peacock (1931) - Vicar of Dibley June Bland (1931) - Doctor Who (x2), The Doctors, The Newcomers - retired to teach acting James Greene (1931) - Chocky, Moon Stallion (still alive as was in Doctors and others in last few years) Godfrey James (1931) - Emmerdale, Armchair Thriller (retired 20 years ago, *think* still alive) Vivian Pickles (1931) - Uncle Jack, Elizabeth R

Newest poster: @TheSeventhSeal with avatar of a seal. I hope this isn't Deathers latest "Banned in ten minutes" account because that is very funny imo. -
Just book the nearest registry office and get done with it!

Speaking of, FAO Charles de Gaulle. Could the Kid please send in some subs for his DDP team as one of his YouTube picks fails that half a million subscribers test.
-
And if they are on my DbN team, they're OK, because I wrote the rule in the first place.
-
Blimey, your likes must be coming everywhere today. Hmm, there's a better way to phrase that one...
-
You are likely to get a shoutout in the DDP Year End Review btw. Something to look forward to (or not)...
-
There was some chatter on here around Remembrance Sunday about the Duke looking half dead iirc...
-
It arrived on 31st December last year. Very last minute. That's the news page bit. If you mean their annual memorial video its on Iplayer now.

I dont think the record will be broken any time soon, but with Philip, Dole, Spinks, Carter, Philips (and maybe Woodward/Crosby) remaining on the list, Gorby, Nolan, Greaves, Pope Benny and Jerry Lee Lewis all potential returnees, and Whale, Limbaugh, Captain Tom and the Duke of Kent as possible newcomers, there's no reason why next years list can't have a respectable total.

Here is my view on the matter - fuck knows! Look, I get that "new media" is the way of the 21st Century and reality TV or YouTube seems to be a route in actual celebrity now (Scarlett Moffat) or produces people who trend on Twitter (Total Biscuit). I'm out of touch but not a complete Luddite. And if lockdown has shown anything its that there's some really good budding amateur documentary makers putting together small entertaining pieces on YouTube and gaining shitloads of followers. But if we're going by subscribers - because the hell do I know where the "properly known" line is. (For the record, I find Calvin Dysons James Bond pieces quite rivetting but he only was 33k subscribers, whereas some shit about makeup has millions - as I said, out of touch.) One pick - you all know who she is - has over 2 million subscribers. I'm not keen on her as a pick, but at that level of youth reknown I couldn't say they were unknown - even if unknown to me. But where is the limit? I'm going to draw an arbritary line at half a million subscribers on their internet channel - be it youtube, twitch, instagram or whatever the fuck folk use nowadays. Half a million seems like a good number.

I predict the grim reaper is going to be 'like a super strong enema 'in 2020

An underrated addition to this is: we all know the Cmme were keeping Cardin. His death suddenly open a spot on the list for one of the names who were going to be dropped in about 60 hours time. -

Ah, enjoy the rest and tell life stresses to go to Falkirk. (I feel like a DDP without Living End would be like a House of Commons without Dennis Skinner or Ken Clarke - you know it'd happen one day but it'd be missing something significant...) -

That daft Masked Singer is back. Watched the first episode with the wean who correctly predicted every vote winner. Wont be long before they're trashing me at the DDP at this rate! -

Gooseberry Crumble must be the first DL poster in history to successfully predict the DL will break its own record before he's even seen the names on it... -
Tell you what, a Toast Ninja would be bloody useful on some of those morning school runs!
-
DId you, or any of us, ever think when we sat through that 5 month snooze in 2011 that one day there'd be a 20/50 year DL? Not me!
-
I can remember bits and bobs from my first year deadpooling, but couldn't tell you without looking who I picked either year I actually won the Deathrace now!
