Yer a Pope, a major world leader, and an A+++ list music or film star under the age of 70 away from calling Bingo here... -
I had a secret two decade plus long crush on the sadly departed Diana Rigg but I never told anyone.... Which is to say, not only does everyone know, but it was one of the first things I told the future mrs msc when we first met...

Made another appearance in the Commons last week to speak on the Internal Markets bill.

In other words, pretty much how he's looked since you were a lad?

John Astin was in 90s classic kids TV Eerie Indiana. And in me and drols fave film of all time hehehe. He is a proper legend even before we bring up the Addams Family which was fucking huge. Also the riddler, and the only person who could replace Frank Gorshin in that role.

Ditto and no reply. Do the admins know if he's been having his personal demons again? -
Who will win the 2020 US Presidential Election?

Going to Georgia for an event there, followed by Texas, apparently. Weirdly despite the whole pandemic thing going on, he's still been far more visible than Hilary was at times during her non-campaigning. -
Iirc Lalanne was another victim of the curse of deathlist. Someone here, not me, declared he could live to 100, less than a week before he died.

Stealers Wheel doing Star on TOTP is one of the great pisstakes of the shows miming policy. When no lockdown Joe Egan was still a regular sight around Paisley.

Aww talking pictures did a sitdown with William Russell taped earlier this year. I was aware from fandom that he's starting to show his age but he's got the old person slurred speech now and has four layers of clothing on. Age comes to us all. Still chatty mind you. Very dl worthy in my book. Edit - went looking up the recording date as there's an audience. November 2018. He's more chatty here than now, apparently.

He was a football podcaster.

Mostly the guest sketches, Toast, true but some others. Singing in the rain comes to mind, although not a patch on Paddington Bear of course. Oddly I enjoy Bob Mortimer and Paul Whitehouse fishing show more than Vic and Bob. I must be getting old... -

There's really no point comparing kids entertainers on that blog either. Do mallet and glaze seem weak to adult eyes? Probably. But they weren't making the show for them, it was for an audience aged 7 or even younger. Judging how stuff which entertains weans with how it stands up now misses the point IMO. Oh and the nature of rod hull death has given me many many laughs over the years! -

Les Dawson is very funny. His family gags seem more of the communal "what're families like?" rather than anything nasty. Dave Allen, Tommy Cooper, Peter Cook all dated well, still hilarious. Morecambe and Wise have huge fail to success sketch ratios but the good ones hold up the entire rest of it. Ditto Python, ntnocn, fast show and French and Saunders. When I was growing up Harry Enfield made me laugh myself hoarse but with few exceptions Reeves and Mortimer left me cold. Same with Victoria Wood, whereas I was dying with laughter the first time I heard the much missed Linda Smith's show. Not everything dates at the same speed. Michael McIntyre for example is dated ten weeks before he speaks... -
It has to be in a source Wiki editors consider credible. A writer pal had some basic biography errors in their page for years thanks to Sun journalism errors and wasnt allowed to correct them himself as it constituted "original research". They also deleted an entire section that was used by people in the actual business to note stats as "Wikipedia should not be here just to help the public". Urgh.

Into the Valley a tune. Sky used to use it for ad breaks during the football. Big Country were an amazing band and you can hear their sound starting to form here.

I keep mixing up Last Kingdom talk with Kingdom, the cool feudal Korean zombie series on Netflix.

Gloria Hunniford looking ancient on BBC1 right now.

Ditto. Also additional information to keep in mind: he's a brain cancer survivor. One to watch...
