Thistle play our first league game in 8 month or so this afternoon against bloody Clyde. If the wrong result happens me and Willz might have to hide from one of the admin for a while.

    Derby Dead Pool 2020

221 DDP hits in 2020 now. Overtaken 2013's total. 2020's pace is currently 9 days ahead of 2016's so again keeping an eye on this one.

Recorded in 2018 but shown now, Dick Cavett is looking rather old and frail in this Cavett and Ali documentary.

    Derby Dead Pool 2020

The Irish Sun is based out of Dublin, so not a UK source. (I know it has a Belfast office but its a non-UK source.) Others brought up but not supported as a QO include The Stage (non dated obits), New York Times (seriously!), AP (American), Huff Post/Buzzfeed (bit too rubbish), Evening Standard (opened up too much of a precedent for other regionals, and there's 1000s of them, as amused as I was at the concept of The Argus and Evening Times becoming QOs...), Spectator/New Statesman/Private Eye (too much down the magazine as opposed to news source route), MSN/Scotsman (merely duplicate other sources), The National (LOL), and The People ("widely read but superfluous" was my view).

    Derby Dead Pool 2020

So, the complete changes to the 2021 DDP: FFBI picks BANNED As a result of the above, two other things aimed as the carrot part of this carrot and stick change. UNIQUE PICKS to be worth FOUR POINTS in 2021. Expanded Qualifying Obits (as far as is fair, but no NYT, Birmingham local mail, etc...) BBC*: bbc.co.uk/news (and all subsections, including the previously banned local news pages) bbc.co.uk/sport bbc.co.uk/newsbeat And from the UK versions of the following: telegraph.co.uk thetimes.co.uk ft.com theguardian.com dailymail.co.uk* express.co.uk* dailystar.co.uk thesun.co.uk* mirror.co.uk morningstaronline.co.uk inews.co.uk heraldscotland.com dailyrecord.co.uk *includes their Scottish equivalents of the same newspaper (As of 1/1/2018, the death announcements section of broadsheet websites, which members of the general public can pay for listings, are excluded) …and from these news sites: uk.reuters.com news.sky.com/uk skysports.com itv.com/news* (this includes local news pages, and STV/UTV) channel4.com/news independent.co.uk cityam.com uk.news.yahoo.com (must be a UK link) radiotimes.com economist.com The notice of death must be in written English. Video links are only accepted if the strapline mentions the celeb’s passing. Qualifying obit sources will be monitored in use and can be eliminated in future years if they promote dross picks unexpectedly. High scores on the teams pages was asked for. Don't hold your breath, we'll see if there's time in January. No daily bonuses as it would bugger up the system. No death announcements (Hatches, Matches, Dispatches) as they can be used to game the game, sorry Willz. And now all the Cmme need to do to prepare for 2021 is to panic over where the circa £80 needed to keep the website running for another year is coming from! (The mystery of why TMIB went nuts becomes less and less of a mystery with each open door backstage...) Sorted! See what a bit of sharing your stresses publicly can fix!

I'm afraid with 3% of your team dead, you've beaten Steve's prediction for your side with 93% of the game time still to play...

I'm a big believer in the rapid descent between "no longer able to reply to fan mail" (read - not "doesn't want to") and death. Little Richard is a big example this year.

    James Bond 007 (Connery/Moore/Villains etc)

Toby Hadoke who is a solid source on aging British TV actors says Andre Maranne is alive as of April 2020. Good enough for me. Ronald Rich presumably would be news due to 2 sets of obsessive fandoms (Bond, Dr Who) but was alive 5 years ago as he was sending fan mail out then. That's last I heard of the guy.

Thus ends the long DL forum tradition of people being surprised she was still alive.

Between 40 days in a coma, blood clots in the lungs and a loss of sight in one eye, the great man has done well to get this far along. He's apparently writing again.

    Tom Parker

I'm not going to say "who?" because a mere glance at the rest of the internet shows this has exploded the internet and the band were clearly quite massive with teenage girls about a decade ago. (The late 00s equivalent of a Take That or McFly/Busted, I guess.) That said, did you ever feel completely out of touch?
