Well, music is one area Willz is quite good at sniffing out possibles. He got ahead of everyone else on the Ranking Rogers ill health news before anyone else.

2020 now at 10/40 with Lynn and Lewis's deaths. Vera Lynn was Deathlist's 100 DDP hit! Judy Dyble has put Maryport on 99. Going Underground had John Lewis so 98. Getting close there.

I'm no a fan of the Captain and Tenille either but try getting fucking Love Will Keep us Together out of my fucking head after I remember it exists. The previous sentence was a terrible mistake now...

There's Klingons on the starboard bow, starboard bow, starboard bow...

Sorry, @RoverAndOut, not a Trekkie! Although it seems like every other week there's an obit that goes "was also in an episode of Star Trek"...

Well, as forum fave Tom Lehrer said back in 1965: “It is sobering to consider that when Mozart was my age he had already been dead for a year.” Of course, he's now outlived 2 Mozarts and change. Loudon Wainwright made a big deal of surpassing his fathers age. He even named an album Older Than My Old Man Now. That was nearly a decade ago and he's still going. Mind you, when folk we knew died, or the house went on fire, or what not, I've mostly come here for the crap jokes...

He is very good friends with June Brown in real life as you might expect from folk who worked together on and off for so long.

Aye, remind me in 14 days time. For newcomers, last time I put in a team, was away for a week doing work stuff, and came back to find some wanker got fired 2 days previously and my team was out.

Yeah, saw that earlier. LOTL then. Very unfortunate. I can only say, in my official capacity: "Unlucky bastards!"

Who is pregnant Lauren Pope's millionaire boyfriend Tony Keterman? I'm going to guess he's a millionaire called Tony who is sleeping with a woman called Lauren. -
Hey, at his current rate of fame gathering, he'll probably be Prime Minister by Christmas...

Some time in late December to piss off the DL Cmme and DDP Cmme who have to replace him on 300 DDP teams...

Evening TImes has it. Maurice Roeves dead at 83. Word on Facebook is his cancer returned. Damn. This is a sad one.
-
She might be celebrating it like its her last.

Oh that'll be a sad one, he bounced back from personal demons and Stage IV cancer in his life, and was a bloody brilliant actor - he shifts Tutti Frutti from dark comedy to tragedy on his own, was on the BBC just this year in The Nest. Also great in The Nightmare Man, and Caves of Androzani, yes, but he was showing up in things as random as Rab C Nesbitt and Skins (where he played Peter Capaldi's dad!) and knocking it out of the park.

Blimey. One of the old school deadpool picks there. Also been a DDP pick every year since 2015.

Magere Hein is alive and well. Worry not.

Totally nicked this off another forum. So every bloody year, folk moan about the DL 50. So and so gets on the list and its wall to wall moaning - see Mr Porridge's thread as an example, or Bill Gates Sr. Oh wait, that was me moaning. Now the Crowdsourced list gives us the forums consensus Alternate List. And Deathers is trying something with an alternate committee. But...I was thinking to myself, wouldn't it be cool if every DL pick had an approval rating, and we could officially rank the Cmmes choices by forum approval or lack of? And then I thought: that's a great idea, let's do it! And I slept on it and shared the idea with DI, who also thought it was great. So blame him. Hah. This is the simplest thing possibly. Below is the list of the 40 living candidates on the 2020 Deathlist, and several of the Survivors from previous years lists not currently on the Deathlist. A selected few, not everyone because that'd be a long list and do we really need to be comparing the Lineker baby, I think not. All you need to do is to copy this list, and send it to me with one of two words next to each name. If you think the person is Deathlist worthy in 2020, write YES. If you do not think the person is Deathlist worthy in 2020, write NO. Do not post your YES/NO ballots in this thread as it will defeat the purpose of a secret ballot and may swing other peoples opinoons. PM it to me, before 10th July 2020. No team creation, no new names needed, just a straight YES or NO to the Cmme's own picks. Which hopefully makes this sufficiently different from TCD. The list: Prince Philip Olivia de Havilland Dick van Dyke Akihito Pierre Cardin Bob Dole Murray Walker Leon Spinks Betty White Angela Lansbury Bob Barker Alan Greenspan Henry Kissinger Jimmy Carter Valery Giscard d’estaing Leslie Phillips Tony Bennett Harry Belafonte Nobby Stiles Prunella Scales Desmond Tutu Jacques Delors Willie Nelson John Edrich Bouteflika Alex Trebek Shane MacGowan Dick Cheney Ruth Bader Ginsbury Imelda Marcos Carl Reiner Lester Piggott Joanne Woodward David Crosby Tom Smith Jean-Marie le Pen General Pervez Musharraf William H Gates David Attenborough Peter Sutcliffe --- Tina Turner Larry King Gorbachev Loretta Lynn Cleo Laine Sidney Poitier Jimmy Greaves Vanessa Redgrave Ed Asner Barbara Walters June Brown Gazza Joni Mitchell Olivia Newton-John Ronnie Wood Ian St John Louis Farrakhan Sean Connery Pope Benny Mel Brooks Stanley Baxter Linda Nolan Sandy Gall David Prowse Queen Elizabeth II James Randi Nigel Lawson Frank Bough Jerry Lee Lewis Peter Alliss Ozzy Osbourne Brian Wilson What an exciting list. Who will finish rock bottom in the forums affections? We'll know soon. Ranking will be sorted exactly how we find the approval rating for our politicians. Approval rating (YES) minus Disapproval (NO) = Result

I predict the grim reaper is going to be 'like a super strong enema 'in 2020

So this thread teaches not only are some of us either the Reaper or clairvoyant, but also not to use the loo until twenty minutes after Gooseberry in July! -
Big obits for sure but the Herald obit means points shall be coming your way next time Reptile is about. On the DDP at least, I don't know the Hartlepool QOs (I just pick people and hope for the best!).
