The last Just a Minute series with Nicholas was recorded circa April or May 2019. They record a whole bunch in a day or two. This was the series broadcast last October. They were meant to record more in September/October 2019 but he was ill, hence the season of repeats on the radio towards the end of last year/start of this. He had hoped in November to be well enough by March 2020 to record more, but then he had to cancel all public appearances set for December after he took ill again.

Looking up folk involved in Lillie (1978) and found out Joseph Horovitz (the composer) is still alive aged 94 as The Guardian mentioned him being alive in 2017. However, in one episode only as a Baroness is actress Jessica Spencer, who has no Date of Death on imdb and was born 1919. Now, my Occam's Razor tends to tell me that if an actress with her credits had reached 100 last year, someone would have mentioned it. But I couldn't find anything on her death, so pass it over to the detectives here to see, on the off chance I am absolutely wrong here and there is actually an 100 year old actress completely under our noses.

Watching a Channel 5 thing last night about 1978, think it a repeat from that series that Dirty Den and Jim Bowen appeared on just before dying in 2018. Anyhow, Eric Chappell (Rising Damp writer) and Ted Childs (The Sweeney/Inspector Morse producer) both showed up and are still alive. I think I knew about Chappell as hes on Willz's teams here or there abouts, but Childs was a new one to me, so sharing it.

He's on his 16th chemo, he lost 25 pounds but can now cycle again and has got his CEA level down from 800 in January to 5 now. The primary tumour has wrapped around a blood vessel, which probably means he can't get it removed and as it's a fast malingerer, one day treatment will stop working and it'll be downhill quick. But to make it this far after how bad he sounded in December/January is pretty good going, and he's not a 2020 cert anymore.

There are days (Days?) when The Kinks are my absolute favourite band that ever existed, and other days its Queen, but both produced some top tunes. But beyond The Kinks greatest hits which everyone knows and loves, here's a random mostly forgotten track from one of their last albums (UK Jive, 1989) which I'm quite fond of. PS I was going to link to The Kinks Are The Village Green Preservation Society but the full album on YouTube has songs missing, so feck.
