John Andretti has died, which means I think Rad has won it?
-
That's a tenth of Drop 40 dead by January 30th!

The actual quote away from the headlines: Philosophical rather than prediction!

Thanks. I give this service 5 stars on Just DDP, DDPeroo, and of course Uber DDPs...

A DDP pick so watch out for any qualifying obits...

Actually, quite a famous role in The Twilight Zone: the dad in Little Girl Lost. You know, the one with the portal to another dimension that the wee girl rolls off her bed into? A Richard Matheson classic. It's been ripped off quite often, including a funny piss take of it for one of the Simpsons Hallowe'en Specials.

It is a great song tbf.

A man who wrote 2 of the classic WTF bits of 60s cult TV: The Bird Who Knew Too Much from The Avengers, and Attack of the Alligators on Thunderbirds!

2017 list held up quite well till recently. And as is usual with wrestlers, more popped out from behind the sofa so the oldest (known to be alive list) looks a bit like: Vicky Askew (1920) - Vince's mum. Joe D'orazio (1922) - World of Sport ref, wrestler Bill Mercer (1926) - WCCW commentator "Cowboy" Bob Ellis (1929) - Joe Cornelius (1929) - British wrestler who retired in 1967. Might be born in 1928 instead. Samson Burke (1929) - Wrestled briefly in the 1950s, fought Lou Thesz. Len Rossi (1930) - NWA Hall of Famer who won their tag titles 14 times back when it mattered. Johnny DeFazio (1930) - former WWWF Junior Heavyweight champ. John Lees (1930) - the bodybuilder. Apparently a wrestler. Dave Kidney (1931) - Allegedly held the British Featherweight Title, a title that even British wrestling anoraks struggle to find the lineage for. Might have made it up to get on the BBC. Tony Marino (1931) - former tag partner of Bruno Sammartino. Hank Garrett (1931) - The Minnesota Farm Boy. Quit wrestling to become an actor. You have to go to 1932 to find folk who will 100% get a DDP QO in Dominic "trained Mick Foley" Denucci, Gene "trained everyone" laBell and Danny "dementia ridden" Hodge.

A legitimate contender this year, imo.

Hogh is still alive, but this is a case right out of Sir Creep's oft mocked "I beat cancer" brigade. Footballer who had pancreatic cancer but had surgery on it, remission. TV channel made documentary about his beating cancer to go back to work. IN between the filming of the doc and the TV broadcast this week, he relapsed.

Just not going to reach Spanish flu levels with sensible precautions like that.

I had him too. Hey, got to keep that 37 point gap between Pan Breed and AO Guy while it lasts because it can disappear very quickly in Alt Obits!

Anand Amritrjaj according to the Wiki. Vijay has twitter! His last tweet expresses sadness about Kobe Bryant. It's really a small world these days...

I'd choose execution by old age.

I can't recall so many changes at the top of the table in one month, even a January. I think it might be unprecedented.
-
He probably is. I'm just very stubborn about my dislikes!
-
I think nearly everyone except the top 2 had Chris Doleman? Traffic jam near the top.
-
Yeah, he did very well to make it this far with such a terrible illness. Even battlers like Gord Downie struggled to make it past 18 months. Shame for Reptile, as his run at the top is over before I even got to write it up on the front page!

That's the guy from Octopussy! I was struggling for his name earlier. Om Puri mentioned above was also very much a "oh that guy" when he died, though I didn't recognise the name. Although I don't get why Channel 4 sold East is East as comedy, it's bloody grim. Glad I didn't suggest Art Malik as he was born in Pakistan and that's a whole can of worms...

Merton clearly snarks into so many contestants (an issue on HIGNFY too) that perhaps him leaving will open the field? Gyles is the likely successor, yes, but man, talk about a sudden decline in host quality.

SARS got 700 so I'll go for 950-ish, but it could easily be much lower.
