Yeah but any Asian politician dying before the age of 150 is suspicious to you! -
He had a very nasty fall at the Fringe last year and nearly died then. So when I saw that I was sort of expecting this sort of news in the near future. Oh, and apparently JAM was to be recorded again "In Spring" so yeah, it hadn't happened yet.
-
The last current series finished on 2nd April last year. They film about 6-12 eps in a batch. There would have been more recorded since but he was ill so probably not... Theres weekly repeats so I think "this weeks" is from 2012.
-
He's the top UK trend on twitter at the moment, relegating the latest Prince Andrew stuff to 2nd place. When you can bump a royal scandal...
-
Self-inflicted bloodbath - Parsons ought to have been on the DL as a British A lister nonagenarian who'd just had a hemorrhage, and I'm not one of these "Miss Miss Miss" types who'd last 2 seconds on Just a Minute. Repetition? Ah never mind...
-
Oh, he's much better in that than folk let on. Apparently the dress rehearsals were in a local church in London, and one day Parsons - in costume - was getting lunch when he was stopped by a passerby who asked when the Sunday evening mass was!
-
Oh absolutely, one of our greatest entertainers imo. I aimed to never miss Just A Minute (I was too young for Sale of the Century), and he was a great straight man to Rik and Ade in Mr Jolly Lives Next Door.
-
Sadly he deviated. Sadly the Cmme decided John Edrich was a better choice. Sigh.

Can't even be bothered editing, so here's my posts on the ebola outbreak from 2014, just change Ebola to coronavirus. (Although I'd put a correction in here - since 2014, I found out the guy in 1999 in Germany didn't have ebola, it was another hemorrhagic fever entirely. So European/US medicine remains undefeated against ebola cases which reach the West...) Exact same thing counts. -
Breathing is usually a sensational sign at that age.

Newcomers to the list this year include Frankie Valli, Crown Prince Salman, Marla Gibbs, Robert Wagner, Bernie Ecclestone, and Raul Castro, I see. Forgot to check it before now.
-
The Inside no 9 trailer looked quite good. The Goes Wrong show on a Friday has been hilarious but I suspect its probably Marmite.
-
Wogan too. Basically the answer is 2016 by the looks of it...
-
Alan Rickman. But the common thing here is shock death, liked by a fair number of the forum, I guess, and generate shitloads of chatter. Even if vast chunks of it is "who are ya?".
-
Aye, but if, say David Beckham or someone like that had a Death by Helicopter we'd probably see a similar reaction in the UK. And I can imagine pretty much wall to wall coverage for days when Gazza's liver gives up.
-
Smokey Robinson pays tribute to Bryant, posted as Smokey is looking pretty good for a music icon about to turn 80 imo.
-
Anytime folk talk up Sugar's business genius, I just remember he had the monopoly on UK computing in the 80s. And buggered it up.

Well, mind Ebola. Incurable disease of death...right up to the moment white Westerners get it, in which suddenly it can't be cured fast enough. Will be the same with any such pandemics. The second it threatens posh Americans, oh look magic cure found. -
It was alright. Better than most of them this series.
-
Fucks sake, go away to watch one episode of Dr Who and come back to a dead 13 year old, the demonic spirit of Zorders trying to possess folk*, and the DL kitchen on fire. *Can sort that: MERRIN + KARRAS The power of Christ** compels you. Merrin sprinkles holy water. MERRIN + KARRAS The power of Christ** compels you. **or general atheism.

Dont read the DDP Terry Jones obit then! Although I stand by that - him dying and the manner of his death, that illness, are both sad things. Others like, say, Hattersley, Tebbit and Bible John would not get that! [Although Last Words obit of Roger Scruton kept talking about how tragic and sad it was...]

It's down here (Scotland) too. But then I don't follow US Sports and I still knew who he was, like a more recent Michael Jordan or Magic Johnson type.
