I know...I know! Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition. In fact, those who do expect... Big fan of Terry J - sadly his time is marked, with friends saying they're not sure how long he has left.

Over to @Sean when he wakes for the obvious catchphrase...

In a form of entertainment with plenty of them to chose from, one of the more blatant "how the fuck are they still alive?" names going in music.

    Genesis P-Orridge

Yeah this is a great pick which might not last too long here.

    Derby Dead Pool 2020

So usually I show theme teams here, but because I am co-hosting I sort of split the usual "interesting folk" theme team and a normal Pan Breed side into 3 different teams to deal with the host winning scenario. (Hahahah it's still me, you lot, not a Spade or DI!) So here's the B team Here’s Who you could have won (B-team you can spot a good 4-5 picks that would have made the main team in a normal year) 1. Marian Cisovsky JOKER 2. John Nord 3. Vasily Kulkov 4. Michael Robinson 5. Michael McKevitt 6. Frank Bowling 7. Dr Bruce Reid 8. Rob Rensenbrink 9. TJ Ducklo 10. Mikis Theodorakis 11. Pat Arrowsmith 12. Brian Glanville 13. Nobuhiko Obayashi 14. Bob Dole 15. David Hagen 16. Qaboos bin Said 17. Pat Smullen 18. Samuel Brittan 19. Jimmy Carter 20. Ophelie Winter And yes, with regret: So It’s Come to This: A Pan Breed C-team (Half the theme team plus bits and bobs) David Crosby David berglas Doug Supernaw Jacci Woodcock Belinda Sykes Tommy Raudounikis Johnny Harris Andre Maranne, Jerry Hardin Tu Youyou, Gabriel Woolf Diane Hoh, Henry gray Ion Iliescu Denis Goldberg Ed Genson Natasha England Susan Bayh Kerri Parker Deborah James Subs Bernard Tapie Barry DuBois Sally sheridan The actual Pan Breed team will follow later on for all the zero people who care!

Dont think Porridge has much left.

Thoughts and Opinions on the 2020 List

OK, the person by person annual January 1st thing can wait till I've had some sleep but gut feeling first view - very good list with a huge number of very low hanging fruit that should be aiming for 15+ hits.

The 5th Crowdsource Deathlist (2020 edition)

Good work Joey, my first thoughts are this looks a very strong list.

Thoughts and Opinions on the 2020 List

Some brave drops (Greaves and Gorby Chef) but some brilliant new adds - Tom Smith, Terry Jones, Genesis P, and my main man DAVEY fn ATTENBOROUGH for the new lounge position on the list.

Thoughts and Opinions on the 2020 List

So many big names who seem good for their age but would be pissy misses* though - David Attenborough, Angela Lansbury for 2. Was going to add Nicholas Parsons but his health seems on decline. *imo, obviously.

I was hoping 88 would make a debut but its 1-50 all over again...

    Derby Dead Pool 2020

There are some posters on this forum who, and I mean this as a massive compliment and tremendous respect btw, are sort of bellwether teams for the Drop 40. When they pick the terminally sick names you know they are getting huge traction across the forum. So far a few of them have posted public teams across the forum, and 5 names have appeared everywhere: Trebek unsurprisingly, Porridge, Gulpilil (will I Learn to spell his name by obit time?) and Doleman, and actually Frankie Banali, which surprises me. But they seem the top tips right now for new ill Drop 40ers.

    Derby Dead Pool 2020

I've not seen the teams yet but I'm about 90% sure Genesis Porridge makes the Drop 40 so he might be a very popular joker in 2020. Others with a decent shot at Drop 40 bonus who might be popular jokers are David Gulpilil and Chris Doleman. One of those is my 2020 Pan Breed joker. Not exactly a hidden name!

    Ask A Deathlister

Well, there is a grim one. Robert Lees was a screenwriter who worked with Abbott and Costello and withstood McCarthy era blacklisting, only to be gruesomely murdered by a spree killer on the verge of his 92nd birthday. Also that Polish plane crash in 2010 that wiped out the entire government also killed a WW2 resistance leader vet who was in his 90s.

Yes, to quote the immortal words of new DDP co-host Gcreptile when that one got announced: Fucking OMG. Profound and spoke for the community there.

    The Deathlist Poker Tournament 2019

Yes, that's usually my best shot at beating him tbh. Hiding in a corner calling out the rules of the deadpool while he tires...

    The Deathlist Poker Tournament 2019

Ta. Imagine if after my joke about beating @Sir Creep in every game going he promptly beat me at this. Much mockerage would have happened, no doubt. This is where you tell me he has this bonus and thus still did so...

She is the lead female character of late 90s sitcom At Home with the Braithwaites (also starring Peter Davison) - the role was played by Amanda Redman.

    Derby Dead Pool 2020

No, remember I fell into the "Pick actually got a mention on the BBC news but not on the one page of the BBC that counted as a QO" trap* in 2017-ish so yeah the whole bbc.co.uk counts. *OK, they were a bit fringey of a candidate but by the 5th BBC obit that didn't count for him I was started to feel trolled a little bit...
  23. msc

    Derby Dead Pool 2020

Herald is back as a QO, yes, but Hagen would get a BBC obit no bother.

    Football

Dortmund v PSG - Can always count on PSG to blow it, Dortmund are no mugs either. Anyone see the 6-1 defeat to Barcelona few years back? I laughed so much. DORTMUND. Real Madrid v Man City - City also can usually be counted on to bugger up the Champions League - v Monaco and Spurs in recent years. They currently seem a freak loss to some mediocre lower EPL team away from a complete nervous breakdown at the moment. Madrid are basically a CL cup team. They know how to win these ties. REAL MADRID (although 'mon Man City, I hate Real...) Atlatanta v Valencia - Valencia somehow beat Ajax in the last round, when Ajax had about 9 million shots and Valencia had none. Somehow! Atalanta were my dark horses to do well this year, and promptly didn't win any of their first four games to make me look really stupid, before suddenly remembering to win. Tough to call but on paper ATALANTA are the better side. Atletico Madrid v Liverpool - Where is TMIB these days, he only supports likely the best team in Europe right now. Atletico are bloody buggers to play at the best of times, but LIVERPOOL should get through here quite comfortably these days. They are in form and Atletico aren't the force of a few years ago. Chelsea v Bayern Munich - With any luck, BAYERN will murder Chelsea, who are starting to look knackered in the EPL. Lyon v Juvenus - Lyon tend to suck at this stage, and struggled through in general. Juventus tend to suck in the latter stages, but its when they get to the Semis or Final they choke nowadays. JUVENTUS. Tottenham v Leipzig - Normally this would be defence verses attack, but it seems since Jose Mourinho showed up at Spurs he's completely forgotten how to put a Mourinho defence together. (Also is it just me, or does the guy seem much more chilled and relaxed so far?) As it stands this will probably end something stupidly entertaining like 29-all. LEIPZIG but close to 50/50 Napoli v Barcelona - On paper each year at this bit - oh Napoli look a hard opponent. In reality at this stage each year - oh Napoli got fucked over easily by the other team. BARCELONA. Really Liverpool are the team to beat but I think they will get beaten, teams rarely (Real recently aside) retain the Cup. Barcelona seem to have mentality issues (and Messi is getting old) so I think Bayern might be the team to beat here this season.
