CTE again. imo within a decade "end stage CTE" is going to be a more common diagnosis AND a common deadpool pick.
-
Well that''s what I call bad luck. But highlights how important is to keep tabs on the more obscure picks the host might miss! That Bou, setting all sorts of new records. 99% sure that's the first time the universal deadpool rule of "host actually needs to see the obit" has done for someone in the Cup.

1. Kathleen Blanco (4) 2. Holly Clegg 3. David Gulpilil 4. Suzanne Whang 5. Juliette Kaplan

My understanding is these funeral home pages have been rejected in the past so it would be unfair to turn that aside in a final.
-
Thanks for the clarification, OoO.

Back home and on mend after the better part of three months in hospital and recovery unit. Was apparently in worse shape than he let on, though.

Always look up the autograph community for updates, I say. So 2019 and Little Richard: His family has also apparently said he can no longer respond to fan mail. I find from previous form that once that happens, short of dementia the obit follows sooner than later.

Who doesn't love "vague and likely meaningless updates on DL main pagers?" That's right, a tiny small press releasing a book on Moss sends "well wishes". Linked to new illness or just age frailty - who knows? Could be nowt, could be imminent news, could again be nowt, but you heard it here first, if it is anything...

Its grand, Spade. Am just in from a work event and yes, it's too damned hot.
-
Potentially a spot on Sir Creep prediction here. Anyone notice DLers are really good at casually predicting the prognosis for folk they dont actually pick?

Political Discussions And Ranting Thread

Ah vodka at 11, reminds me of uni. Strong suggestion of booze and other issues makes him medium term one of ours. -
Dropped late from the shortlist due to QO concerns. So knowing my luck, feel free to laugh in 5..4..3.. EDIT - Yes, I know that IS a QO...

Hmm, iirc it was heavily implied with the "We gave her a good honeymoon" line, and certainly the authorised big Bond book from the 90s seemed to think it were so. Although ITV4 repeated the Daltons monthly. Found out mrs msc hasn't actually seen Living Daylights, and sods law, they've not shown it since.

Live and Let Die was the first Roger Moore, so that's factually inaccurate as well as bad taste! Oh, once Swinsons off the news, sure. Another quick fact: his daughter is Jodie Fosters missus.
-
Knew those shark bites were serious. Before the Craig reboot, the only man to play Felix Leiter in the Bond series twice. And in Live and Let Die and Licence to Kill, two of the best Bond films imo.
-
Did you see the bit where he tried to blame his own crimes on his son? Proper Grade A twat.
-
Although in my defence, Prisoner X queried is far more of an internationally infamous case ala Sutcliffe or Tobin, than a Gary "No fucker had ever heard of him" Thibodeau. Always put a git or two on your team, I say!

For someone who is surely a gold standard future DL pick, John Cooper Clarke doesn't have his own thread (?) but was on Desert Island Discs earlier! Sounds OK, all things considering, but bloody hell he's aged a fair bit in the last few years Guardian has his bits on heroin from the show.

All those letters and only a Scrabble total of 45. What a waste of effort.
-
Going to be a bit difficult, apparently! (Couldn't resist)

It annoys me too (primarily because actors dont tend to get hurt, its more a ballet/stuntwork crossover) but its a good reminder that, even in the UK where it relied on suspension of disbelief and a knowing wink, there were people idiotic enough to think Big Daddy was a legit athlete, and needing it pointed out to them.

(Insert Montalbano/Andrea Camilleri in-joke reference here...) Bou 8-12 Spade

He got offered the Scotland job when Craig Brown quit. Didn't fancy it for some reason...
