I wonder how Marty Jannetty is doin.... As we seem to say every 6 months, surely this Permanent Druggy Car Crash can't have long left now... (A DDP pick too, now, I see.)
-
Am hearing that Pat Gorman has died. Confirmation should show up soon.
-
Yes, but 6/20 on the LOTL by Valentines Day has it going even more smashingly than I'd expected!
-
Yes, although my brill theme team has two in the same 24 hours (Dewar and Cocks).

Despite being well past his prime, his Don Muraco/Randy Savage matches were good. Mind you, it took spectacularly bad wrestlers to have bad matches with Macho Man... Sad news though, as this means the Father of the House for WWF Champs is now Superstar Billy fucking Graham. (Sheik's older, but chronologically...)

Photojournalist Don McCullin has done a recent doc for the BBC about his career - Looking for England, still on Iplayer for next few weeks. Seems OK for 84, despite recent health woes, but a worthy reminder that he is still alive and a BBC obit cert.

McCririck next, ta. Assuming yer doing jinx request now.
-
Yeah, that's not getting subbed this late on, sorry. On the bright side, You'll Never Find Us in the Guardian Obits at Parties is now 6 out of 6 on the prediction front!

Do you remember Walter playing cricket in the thunder and the rain? Do you remember Walter smoking cigarettes behind your garden gate? Yes, Walter was my mate. But Walter, my old friend, where are you now? The answer, Ray, is dead. And on his birthday too. Walter Jones, that is. So Banana and Clorox get their Jokers in, and now have command of their ties. Skinny Kiltrunner's Joker too - unfortunately for him, it's also the Bankers! Will anything separate those two? Spade also scores on the US politician, and at this point I think poor old Squonk might be suffering for the sins of Rover... Two other teams got points. Wormfarmer increases his lead over The Old Lady, and forum mainstay Boudicca scores her first deadpool points after a deadpooling hiatus of over a decade. She has the lead against The Unknown Man. This leaves Biblio/Tech as the only goalless draw so far. 1. JoeMoneyPenny Vs. Pedro 3-3 2. Nantonian 2013 Vs. Maryportfuncity 0-3 3. Gooseberry Crumble Vs. John Key 0-3 4. Spade Cooley Vs. Squonk 12-0 5. Markb4 vs Dr T 0-6 6. Banana Vs. Great Uncle Bulgaria 12-0 7. Yorkshire Banker Vs. Skinny Kiltrunner 9-9 8. Alt Obits Guy Vs. Time 13-0 9. Clorox Vs. Fixed Business 16-3 10. The Mad Hatter Vs. Exu 9-0 11. Master Tech Vs. Bibliogryphon 0-0 12. The Unknown Man Vs. Boudicca 0-3 13. Torva Messor Vs. The Old Crem 10-0 14. The Quim Reaper Vs. BuffaloPhil 3-3 15. Wormfarmer Vs. The Old Lady 6-0

Oh no, feel free!

That's shocking... that he was only 67! As you note, he'd been losing matches since Sir Creep was a mere OBE.

Former war journo/photographer in Vietnam who later iirc worked for the BBC during the 80s.

I so wish that Brian Blessed clip was on YouTube.

I think that and And Then There Were None are so actor friendly that new adaptations every decade or so are cool. Get to see new folk in the roles. Like how Barry Fitzgerald, Richard Attenborough and Charles Dance all have fun playing the same role. Incidentally, in news for you and Toast, Sarah Phelps is back! The Pale Horse for 2020. Don't all get too excited at once. Apparently she got contracted for 5, so this is the last one. Not going to get her version of a Murder is Announced (the lesbian are axed), Endless Night (the gypsies did it all along) or Crooked House ( )...

Aye, a fine actor. Had a feeling he wasn't long for the world but never used him in any pools:
-
Aye, he's dead for a' that. Magazine whose Official Facebook page followed by 5 million people? Survey says yes. So here's to you Mr Robinson, points galore are coming out for some, hey hey hey, hey hey. Clorox and Banana take control of their respective ties. Jokers cashed in for Alt Obits Guy, Mad Hatter and Spade. Emily Levine made people laugh about death, apparently, but I know someone not laughing about her actual death, as time doesn't wait for Alt Obits... man. Four months of these puns to go, folks. What with Robinson in this same update, time might want to look away from the current scores. 1. JoeMoneyPenny Vs. Pedro 3-3 2. Nantonian 2013 Vs. Maryportfuncity 0-3 3. Gooseberry Crumble Vs. John Key 0-3 4. Spade Cooley Vs. Squonk 9-0 5. Markb4 vs Dr T 0-6 6. Banana Vs. Great Uncle Bulgaria 6-0 7. Yorkshire Banker Vs. Skinny Kiltrunner 3-3 8. Alt Obits Guy Vs. Time 13-0 9. Clorox Vs. It's an invaluable service you provide for lazy hosts here. Rocky is counted out. Must be Rocky I, not Rocky II, right? The judges unanimously give 4 points to Clorox. 1. JoeMoneyPenny Vs. Pedro 3-3 2. Nantonian 2013 Vs. Maryportfuncity 0-3 3. Gooseberry Crumble Vs. John Key 0-3 4. Spade Cooley Vs. Squonk 3-0 5. Markb4 vs Dr T 0-6 6. Banana Vs. Great Uncle Bulgaria 3-0 7. Yorkshire Banker Vs. Skinny Kiltrunner 3-3 8. Alt Obits Guy Vs. Time 3-0 9. Clorox Vs. Fixed Business 7-3 10. The Mad Hatter Vs. Exu 3-0 11. Master Tech Vs. Bibliogryphon 0-0 12. The Unknown Man Vs. Boudicca 0-0 13. Torva Messor Vs. The Old Crem 10-0 14. The Quim Reaper Vs. BuffaloPhil 3-3 15. Wormfarmer Vs. The Old Lady 3-0

John Cocks was apparently a notable reality TV star in New Zealand but I'm afraid I'll always remember his name for causing me to giggle childishly anytime Joey brought up his DDP team last year. Anyhow, 4 points to Torva, who opens up a commanding lead on The Old Crem. 1. JoeMoneyPenny Vs. Pedro 3-3 2. Nantonian 2013 Vs. Maryportfuncity 0-3 3. Gooseberry Crumble Vs. John Key 0-3 4. Spade Cooley Vs. Squonk 3-0 5. Markb4 vs Dr T 0-6 6. Banana Vs. Great Uncle Bulgaria 3-0 7. Yorkshire Banker Vs. Skinny Kiltrunner 3-3 8. Alt Obits Guy Vs. Time 3-0 9. Clorox Vs. Someone launch the @Sir Creep Bat Signal, that's one of his regular picks. EDIT _ Seconds, seconds before posting and Ninja'd by Creep himself!

Oh no, he was notorious in KUA fan circles (and among cast/crew!) for being rude. Others will defend him to the hilt so likely a man (like Terry Pratchett) you needed to meet on the right day.

10. Here is what happens in the case of a team member dying prematurely (ie on 28th Feb for the March game). If you discover this before the 3rd of the month, your top sub will automatically go into place. If it is discovered on the 3rd or after, sorry about your luck. If it turns out the person was dead and known to be (this is determined via a reference in a newspaper or magazine, not social media) then subs don’t come into play.
-
Tempted to count that under my very broad definition of "magazine or thing the host views as acceptable" but will give it a day or two for another QO to show up less likely to trouble the blood pressure of some on here!

Ya think so?
