Also, now we're up, good to see Big Iain playing! Always nice to see the DDP's father taking part.
-
The NYT got in there first, but finally the BBC produce a QO: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-46850763

Well done, Rad! Some close calls in recent deadpools, so a well deserved victory. Especially on smoking the rest of us in a little over 12 days.
-
On the bright side... highly promising if you have JLT on your DDP team!
-
She's leaving Office one way only, imo. By giving The Old Lady DDP points... (Was going to say Engineer or Sean only to realise they killed the joke by not actually picking her!)

Its Sri Sri, folks, yer going to need to clarify which January!

Here you go! Translated: After a new drug trial over the summer was unsuccessful, it will be likely to start a second course of chemotherapy in the beginning of 2019... Alas, I hadn't been searching in Welsh...
-
Was apparently still to be peer reviewed before Christmas, so unlikely I'd have thought.
-
I might just have fucked this one up, DDP wise, on the other hand. Mind you, always one. What's this article saying right after I handed in my DDP team? "My chemo has failed." Aww sod it...
-
I can't even mind what documentary I was watching on BBC4 last year that had him as a talking head, but looking him up afterwards brought references to his "frail health".
-
Given he died in 2000 (before this forum opened), I doubt it...

Impressive, because, as this pic shows, he was awfie frail in the 80s...
-
I think the second quoted line answers the first! A late cut here too, just the nagging feeling that if he was really dire he'd have had more coverage?
-
I've spent most of that time wondering who the well known political figure was, not many options! Bit of a sod for them if it were Ted Heath! Here's a bit on the 2000 winner.
-
I am shocked that @Gooseberry Crumble got a unique on James Lovelock too, but relieved. I didn't consider him for my Rafferty team as I assumed he'd be on the DDP easily! Mentioned here as I cant work out how to get rid of those @ tags elsewhere and didn't' want Spade tagged by replying to Crumbles post!

8th time out for Pan Breed. With 1 top 10 place so far. It's the taking part... I assume this is on the cards for Dr Reid, because my brain can't comprehend an obit cert notable with a death sentence cancer practically being unique. Whereas Dame Callil was my "surely 100% unique" name from early on. Ah, I was wondering about Hayden, couldn't see anything! Hawke suffered from being announced too late imo, after a bunch of teams that'd have picked him had already sent in their teams. McGahan has obit worries, but no LoTLer has had that many teams on board so cross fingers etc. Ali? I kept her quiet for a certain Midway teen (bit of a Rad... guy) only for it to turn out every fucker knew about her! imo if everyone keeping her to themselves all December had mentioned her early on here instead, Drop 40. I had a choice of Frates, Ricksen or Rensenbrink for 1 spot. ALS/MND is tricky to pin point down. Good luck! *waves* Almost entirely my fault. Already said I dropped her at the last minute. Had I kept her, Drop 40 by looks of it. So ya know, sorry bout that!

Some people do, others change per round, others don't do team names. It's really a daft 4th tiebreaker (ie, as no one has yet been tied after a Best of 5 coin toss) that folk take seriously for fun, if that makes sense.
-
You don't have the Broadway in the UK, for starters.
-
Surprised at Zeffirelli and Boniperti being new names, presumed Mercarte would have picked them before.

Your Daily Dose (from the good doctor -- Dr. Z)
msc replied to Sir Creep's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Totally misread that preamble and thought you were saying you were Zorders for a moment there tbh. -
Yeah, am going to assume that, in the grand scheme of things, giving DI and Rad a 1000 point lead head start wasn't the wisest strategy...

At least I'm off nul point now!
