    The World of the Snowflake

PETA are evil, and murder thousands of dogs and other animals every year. I wouldn't trust them if they told me I was Scottish...

26 points at worst then for Dynamite? Likely the KO blow to all the folk below you then!

    27. Sir David Attenborough

Bloody typo. Attenborough turned down "promotion" as he was itching to get back out into the field, of course. That's up there with the Dougie Donnelly Final Score great: "And those of you who don't want to see the Old Firm result ahead of the highlights tonight, look away now. Well, 2-0 Rangers, who'd have thought?" EDIT - Arse, totally forgot about the ISS till I saw this post now!

    Kiwi Karkers

One of the great but forgotten - over here - 80s SF films (like Miracle Mile). Much recommended. Sad news. PS iirc he worked on the LOTR trilogy so should piss an obit.

    27. Sir David Attenborough

Also when he was Controller of BBC1 he not only commissioned The Ascent of Man and Civilisation (two of the great documentary series) but also Monty Python, Old Grey Whistle Test and BBC snooker coverage! Man's had more direct influence on more walks of British life than even folk realise.

He's on my top 5 famous folk who should have been on the DL yesterday already. And yeah, big fan too.

    Ric Flair

Willz called it: A reminder on Flair and boozing... imo he's on the clock but its a harder one to get quite right because it's not cancer. He'll likely see 70 after all (it's only 84 days away) but pretty sure he'll be gone before the next World Cup easily.

    The Hare's Death Pool

Oh yeah they were all in Who, no worries. Amusingly one of the folks relatives is on my shortlist for entirely unrelated health issues. Jan 2nd? With half the team being 89 or older, dunno tbh! You never know with old folk.

    The Hare's Death Pool

Huh? They're all alive as far as I'm aware. I see you saw about your joker being too ill to do interviews for the DVD. Not heard much of him since.

Looking at the calendar, Nov 30th 1990 was a Friday so I was probably at nursery tbh.
  16. READ MY LIPS: NO MORE DYING 14/50 1st December 2018 Former President of the USA, George HW Bush, has died to give The Crowdsourced Deathlist another success. Before becoming President, Bush Sr was a WW2 war hero, an oil tycoon, a politician, Ambassador to China, and Director of the CIA! Presumably his knowledge of where every body was buried (including the ones scheduled to die in the future) meant his candidacy as Reagan's Vice President was no brainer. That, or all the sex (his words, not mine!). His campaign for Presidency used the dirty tricks book of Atwater and Stone, and worked, although he probably would have won in 1988 anyhow, given he was facing Michael Dukakis, the worst Democratic candidate for President in the last 35 years bar Hilary Clinton, John Kerry, Al Gore and Walter Mondale! As President, Bush famously tried to increase literacy rates among kids, and rather infamously puked all over the Japanese Prime Minister. Despite having amazing poll ratings for 3 years and 11 months of his Presidency (possibly linked to wars!), Bush lost somewhat surprisingly to new kid on the block Bill Clinton in the 1992 election. He had six kids, none of whom are the worst living US President these days, somehow. He was 94, and his final act on Earth has been to give new TCD host Joey Russ a nervous breakdown presumably with all the subs needed for 2019.

Authors Last A Long Time, But....

@YoungWillz, the I was on Spade's list on forum last year as a QO but the website went back to 2017 QO at some point in early 2018. I asked Spade since in the DDP thread if the I was meant to be a QO and he confirmed it, so there is a "paper trail" out there on this. Right now I'll shut up before anyone takes the joke about this ailing Scot being the next DDP host actually seriously...

    28 Years Of The Deathlist!

Over 10 years since I found the site iirc due to going "Randy Pausch? Who the hell was that? Googles..." Actually, a few days ago was the 10th anniversary of Mrs Msc's only forum post. We'd just moved into our first flat together at the time.

    The Weather

It really was wet. Even by Glasgow standards. Yesterday I picked up the wean from school. "Daddy, I don't want to wear my rain coat!" Takes one look at me, dripping head to toe in rainwater from a 5 minute walk. "Actually, never mind..." Weather so nuts, even a grumpy toddler concedes to it!
