Slam Guide #1 Pan Breed favourite Lady Wilson Wait, what? You're kidding me! Ah well, Bernard Hepton is still... goddammit! Well, I'm all out of shortlist ideas.

He's a delightful chap. Very fond of scenery chewing! Had an aortic aneurysm in 2015, very very lucky to still be breathing. Afraid he probably is on the clock now.

Pointless Celebs tonight have Peter Davison, Katy Manning among others in a SF special. It also has first TV appearance of Paul Darrow since near-death heart problems in 2015. Sounds a bit rough, and obviously wheelchair bound/no legs, but mentally with it and his usual amusing self. Pics of them and 71 year old Michael Keating (Blake's 7 but he's been in everything as an actor) below (the other woman is Holly from Red Dwarf)...

Watching Eastenders for form spotting. God, it's shite. Fast forwarding all the non Dot/Dr Legg bits and saving 28 minutes though. June Brown sounds quite breathless, rattling through her dialogue. She looks alright for 91, but she really does feel like someone being kept alive by their job. Leonard Fenton looks and sounds fairly well for his age. They're killing off his character, however. Have noticed nearly all of his scenes involve him sitting down. EDIT - Hooray, uploading pics is back!
-
Bit of a spoiler naming someone who could actually appear on the front page. Although Le Pen, Uderzo and Trintignant are vague possibles too, of course.
-
Aye, I googled after my show of ignorance. Was put off by his young age - presumed 90s so that Leeson must be 60s/70s by now!
-
So 2/13, and guesses on 2 others. They really don't aim this show at my demographic! EDIT - Hardeep Kohli's that guy off TV - know the face, not the name.

To redress the Sir Creep balance, I remember him bringing up Gordie Howe several times as a cert to die within 18 months. Based not on news stories, or social media, but an undying belief that Howe's medical procedure could only add 18 months or so to his prognosis. Nearly everyone else ignored Howe entirely, only for him to prove Creep entirely right, and die within the 18 months period predicted.

Jamaica Street, the Merchant City, Plantation (the now yuppy infested bit next to Tradeston), etc etc? I thought we made it fucking obvious, myself. -
I love that song. And album.

Looking back over previous Ideas thread for any obvious forgotten candidates (so far, they're all fucking dead!), and I realised Adrian0719 hasn't posted since Jan 2017. He used to be very good at bringing up semi-obscure but DDP friendly US celebs on the verge of death for everyone.

The World of the Snowflake

When we had dinner on top of an active volcano as a kid (you can actually do that, restaurant on one of the Spanish islands...) there was a loud rumble beneath us, as is the thing with volcanoes. Child msc asked his dad what would happen if the volcano errupted while we were there. Dad said "just think of it as an added bit of excitement" and kept eating. -
Dead for a month? Married to Robert Wagner? Last seen in the vicinity of a small boat?

I was wondering why charon was upset at folk plundering pensions all of a sudden! Anyhow, not the name I thought it'd be!

Paddyfool, met charon. If you start from the principle that he officially hates every human breathing, then you can be pleasant surprised by the ones he doesn't. Whereas stuff like the benefits system and the NHS are just shock of the new to "Nelson", he remembers the Spanish Flu from the first time round. -
Uh oh! Uh oh! Uh oh uh oh uh oh uh oh uh oh uh oh UH OH! Crap jokes aside, Deathlist candidate for sure.

"I am sure the whole House will want to send their best wishes to my hon. Friend the Member for Coventry North West (Mr Robinson), who is recovering from a recent operation. In his absence, and with his blessing, we will proceed with the Third Reading of his Organ Donation (Deemed Consent) Bill this Friday. It is a Bill that will save lives and give hope to many. The Prime Minister previously has been very supportive, as has the Leader of the Opposition. Will she today reconfirm her support for this important Bill on Friday?" Link the two, liver transplant? We need to send the Witchsmeller Pursuivant (or Sean) after more details...

Sir Jeremy Heywood, Cabinet Secretary (most senior civil servant there is) resigns from his post and the civil service with immediate effect on health grounds. He was diagnosed with cancer earlier in the year. Hmmm. Look, swearing shortlister, the PM was talking about him on the BBC, you ain't get a unique from that, no matter what. Can't find previous mention of him on here, even though pretty certain we covered his original diagnosis?

No, because cookies are used by every single QO, every other major news contributor, social media, this forum, etc etc etc. -
Rick James (actor, not the other guy) died last month in Antigua aged 78, apparently. Had a bit of notoriety as was once unanimously considered the worst actor to ever appear in Doctor Who and Blake's 7. Yes, out of all of them, naysayers. However, if you click that obit you'll see, away from the eyes of Anorak Clad Wankers (Loaded magazine term for Who fans, did you know?), James had a towering rep in his homeland for promoting theatre work, journalism and free elections! All of which is a far better legacy than 3 episodes of The Mutants!* *Small aside, The Mutants is fucking awful, and name checked by Salman Rushdie as an example of racist TV, showing that for all his chin stroking he couldn't see an anti-apartheid subtext when its written for mentally deficient 7 year olds. And did any SF fan put a fatwa on the idiot? Anyhow, I digress...

Ah, Joey you were beaten by 2 people earlier, Alt Obits Guy AND Alt Obits Guy.
-
Aye, but you had me for a second there posting a Go Fund Me in their thread!

OK. Fair enough. I don't really rate those "Fort William FC players" as sportsmen either.

I didn't really pay much attention of late, but here's Gordon at a thing last week and blimey, he's getting on a bit now.
