With a unique pick dying in spite of high improbability, with a Darwin Award style death (bringing out a BB Gun against American cops?) too, and possibly the murder/suicide bonus...has @The Dead Cow picked up the biggest bonus in Hartlepool history for a single pick? That being Vanessa Marquez, ER actress. My hats off on an inspired pick if so. No sign of Hollywood squares, panto or Morris Dancing, but I await Ali noting how big that bonus was.

The current leaders of most of the open 2018 deadpools DDP - Death Impends Death by Numbers - Death Impends Windy Pool - Death Impends Willz's Poker Game - Death Impends Joker Game - Torva! (but probably Death Impends now) Hares Pool - Prophet (soon to be Death Impends?) Hartlepool - Who knows? (well, got a good guess tbh...) I spot a trend in 2018! Noted now since so odd, and surely he can't actually sweep the whole lot.

When will Harry and meghan divorce if at all?
msc replied to the_engineer's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
In my experience family at family gatherings are very good at sussing out these things and then gossiping about them loudly to all leading to rushed announcements ahead of what would be more preferable. Which is as plausible as going out to "upstage the bride on her wedding day", imo, a concept I'm afraid I am far too Glaswegian to understand. Folk will always make a family event about them. Our wedding had three drunken fights, one gate crashing uncle who arrived solely to tell Mrs Msc to her face she was a spoiled brat (he got off on trying to ruin things for family members), one threat of violence using a knife, two big temper tantrums, and my brother in law dumping his girlfriend who showed up in a skirt so short it could double as a belt, to get off with the 40 year old hairdresser. Most of which me and Mrs Msc sagely ignored entirely. In laws, who'd have them? -
Seeing that Hawking had some voice in his late 30s, and Ricksen looks like a corpse barely heated in a microwave now, doesn't need an expert, does it, ya surly bastard, ya.

Given she's already 3 to 4 months gone, it's not really the sort of elephant in the room that could be hidden at a big family gathering. -
Public confirmation of something known earlier: Steffan Lewis is now terminally ill.
-
Indeed, Mirror obit. For Peter Brackley, commentator. That bits just for the Search. I do read moans.
-
Legendary figure. He'd been ill for some time. Also mysteriously signed that concussion lawsuit paperwork despite being unaware of his surroundings.
-
Ian Darke and others on twitter say Peter Brackley (Football Italia, Saints and Greavsie, Pro Evo, you'll know the voice) is "seriously ill".
-
To nick a crap joke from earlier discussions: Willesee 2019?
-
Help for that obit - he played 4 English Premier League matches for Sheffield United in 2007 and about a dozen more in the Championship.
-
Aye, he doesn't even recognise Michael Palin, who Jones absolutely adored. Latter stages now. Just went three years with PPA too - as I referenced in the other thread.

Carol Hall, who wrote the music and songs for The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas among others, has sidestepped for the last time aged 82. She lasted slightly over 3 years with Primary Progressive Aphasia, which you might recall is the thing Terry Jones has. Woody Durham and Samuel Bodman also died after 3 years with it this year. Perhaps Terry should be on the 2019 list, alas.

Yeah, I mean, I changed my pick in "Next Meltdown Bingo" from Deathers to someone else in Summer due to his new found... forum sanity, and then this happens! -
Could he not have bought tickets, for, I dunno, a Piers Morgan lecture tour instead?
-
Dead aged 80. Despite Willz updating his mega-list, it wasn't mentioned that I can find. Was Shadow Welsh Sec under Foot, and Shadow Defence Sec under Kinnock, until 1988 when Kinnock changed the Labour party defence policy 3 times in a week without consulting his Defence Sec. Also stood for the Deputy leadership, and was an ardent Brexiteer, long before that term was invented.

Oh, has Mary Midgley died? What is it with being 99 years old this year!
-
imo if weed cured cancer, Howard Marks wouldn't be dead.
-
Celeste Yarnall gets the expected Mail obit. On an unrelated note, there was great, considerable amount of swearing in the msc household. Would have been unique too. Always go with your DDP instincts, folk.
-
Not so much "Is he a shoo in" as "how high on the list will he be?" Top 3 imo.
-
Held off on her each year since 2015. Too long. Damn, damn and damn again.
-
Currently being re-repeated. Was watching Episode 1 there, Leslie Schofield* as the husband. I thought "wow, Schofield in a leading role, he's usually bumped off in things early" when 20 mins in, he gets shot dead! *Same age as Jill, still going, heavy drinker iirc, maybe worth a deadpool punt in a year or two.

Ratcliff allegedly turned 70 last week. It's one of at least four different ages for her online. Anyhow, with a 20+ year heroin addiction in her past, and having lived for most of this century on disability after dropping entirely out of the spotlight, she might be a good tip to beat Treacher and Fenton to the grave imo. -
I'd only heard of Lee Mack (unfunny comedian), Alan Cumming (Goldeneye, Spy Kids, acclaimed stage career) and Art Malik (True Lies, The Living Daylight) who is a big name actor and quite a coup, imo. Also, planting a detonating bomb on someone is pacifism? We really have different definitions of pacifism here.
