Always mix up Digby with Alexander mcQueen as they both died of hanging at the same age not long apart. Digby was the Carradine'ing way out, I think? (Not the Michael Hutchence way out - he just allegedly hung himself after an alleged argument with Bob Geldof's lawyers, allegedly.)

Picked her in Death by Numbers at least!

It's a trick question. His surname is Nelson, his first name is Lord, so...

That'd be annoying, I dithered on her for far longer than was sensible before seemingly handing you the unique!

    Wrestlers/actors

The only reason I knew he was still alive was that at least twice I've thought "Oh aye Paul Jones, when did he die again?" only to be surprised he wasn't. Always looked at least 20 years older than he was back at the early Starrcades.

    Time Added

Given charon's mentioning Souness, just happen to be watching that Nesbitt doc series, Disasters that CHanged Britain. Quite good, but anyhow, ep on Munich and up as a talking head is 2018 Denis Law. Looks like fucking shite. Recent pic in the Sun but it flatters him. Got the old Scottish drunk circling the final drain look on screen, know it well. Brian Glanville on the other hand, who also appears in this, looks bloody great. Could yet live to write the obits of Law, Souness and Pele.

    The 5th Death of 2018

Not quite, Reynolds missed a few events in 2015 due to increasing frail health. Had considered her for the 2016 list until someone - Gcreptile i think - mentioned this on forum.

    Derby Dead Pool 2018

The tabloids? The picks? Deadpooling? People with actual modicums of fame? You need to be more specific, Joey. Anyhow, the whole "Joey Feek/Rayya Elias are only FFBI" tiresome argument makes me wary of bans, even as someone who runs a deadpool with a ban in place. But my opinion on these matters are usually ignored, so never mind.

So .. What Do You Watch On TV?

I'm sure charonspotting could be the new trainspotting, but that show sounds far too dull. Sorry.

    The Deathlist Cup 2018

Future reference chaps and chappesses. If someone's died, gonna say it instead of hinting in here? Ta. I guess Fa Du Ren has died? Shall await an obit. Someone tell Do-Re-Mi or their child Fa-So-La-Ti.

One of the greats. Arguably, the longest successful draw in US wrestling history. RIP.

    The Deathlist Cup 2018

Bishop Foley dead. This website - it's like Digital Spy, but for God, apparently - counts, although given the dude was a Bishop, you can expect somewhat larger obits from the usual places before the day is out. Anyhow, the death of a Bishop does big things in the world of the Deathlist Cup, as it puts DDT and Sir Creep into the lead in their respective ties. 1. The Dead Cow vs Sean 9-0 2. Heef vs DDT 6-9 3. Deadsox (reigning champ) vs YWillz 6-3 4. Sir Creep vs Joey Russ 6-3

    Ideas and Possibilities for 2019

Oh great, that post. Oh look, Gcreptile has mentioned one of my obscure picks, I'll mention it, oh wait, apparently I've been spelling her name wrong for years, as I am prone to done, I better fix that before posting... He's a devious sod. This is an interesting development. Perhaps the tabloids are so starved of cancer mums and dads they are now going for folk with a modicum of fame that fulfil that obligation. Bowler would have got a nod from the history presses but perhaps she'll get more now. Mind you, some topics are (imo) unjustly ignored by the press. A few years back, the expert in British maritime/port history (a major part of Scottish/British history fyi) died - he was a top bloke, btw - and in the end I offered an obit to 4 newspapers, all of whom turned it down on notability while posting cancer mums non-stop. And the guy was in Who's Who FFS! Anyhow, I digress.
  14. Spoiler alert - he will die before finishing writing the books. Last I heard, he wrote 1800 pages more and the last book was going to become three, and so on? Series is like that fire in Turkmenistan, it'll never end. This post was solely to reference Darvaza, I fully admit it.

    The 5th Death of 2018

McCain, on the theory diverticulitis is a cover for further cancer complications.
  16. Aye, list will be updated when I have a spare moment later. BUSHED! 4/50 18th April 2018 Former American First Lady, Barbara Bush, has died, to give The Crowdsourced Deathlist another success. Bush's health, much like her husband (watch this space?), was widely reported on in recent years, so her strong vote from the forum was no surprise. Despite being related to George W, George HW, Jeb, and that Bush that ran Fox News no one can remember the name of, Barbara seemed to be more of a respected figure across the political divide, especially compared to her long time rival, Nancy Reagan. Perhaps it was her speaking out for gay rights, pro-choice or encouraging literacy rates among children which prompted that - all 3 controversial topics in the US -, but it might also equally be that, as a long term critic of The Simpsons, Bush proved to be merely 10 years ahead of everyone else on the planet. If there's anything millennials love, it's a hipster. She also wrote a children's novel from a dog's perspective. This was her first appearance on the list.

    Ideas and Possibilities for 2019

Had it since August 2017, practically takes the punt out of deadpooling. Either he's alive in December (18 months alone from diagnosis) and a Drop 40 cert or getting better, or dead by then.
  18. I've always sworn on the hat trick of not wanting to miss the next World Cup, Royal Rumble, or episode of Dr Who to keep sodding along. And this year, 2018, has a World Cup, 3 Royal Rumbles and a new series of Doctor Who so I am as excited as Larry right now. Although there's a shitload of work to get done before the Cup, but anyhow I digress. Others like Joey may pick other interests, of course.

Authors Last A Long Time, But....

Although Christopher himself really hates adaptations. He's blocked adaptations of everything that isn't the Hobbit or LOTR trilogy for 40 odd years. Incidentally, the books alone have sold around the same amount as Roald Dahl (ie 200-300 million copies estimated), and much of that will be since 1973, so Christopher wont be short of a penny, even without the film money.

Newbury, New York's Mayor since 2012, Judy Kennedy, has died after an apparently public battle with terminal illness. Sir Creep's intended sleeper DL Cup pick for May, am assuming.

    Art For Death's Sake

Illustrators? Art, I guess. Doesn't fit into the 2018 thread. Anyhow, just found out from in the know folk that Peter Edwards (1934-2017) died a year ago without fanfare, obits, or even mentions on public social media. I'm sure I posted on here in 2014 when his wife and fellow artist Gunvor died, but I can't find the post. This means all of the Railway Series artists from when the Rev Awdry was writing them are now dead. So, here are some of his reminisces about working on kids books. Quite liked their work when I was a wean. Very evocative. Anyhow, RIP, belatedly.

They were the same person, and he did die. PS While not a qualifying obit, Chortle is a very well respected site within the world of UK comics (in fact, it often breaks news on folk dying) so is trustworthy.

^ Logged into the wrong gimmick account, JTrost - that's the one that doesn't want people to die. 4/10.
