One thing to note, Joey. Every single death of a sitting Assembly Member or Scottish Member of Parliament has received a QO from the current QO lot. Usually from the Times or Telegraph. Any sitting MP, Westminster, Holyrood, or Cardiff, will walk a QO. PS Stage IV bowel cancer is treatable when it's treatable but when it isn't... Time yet to tell on this one.

Given I seem to have jinxed Zsa Zsa, Lamotta and Castro into an early grave here, I'll say Kirk Douglas. Rooting for Olivia de Havilland to reach a crazy age like 124 though, and for her to be on the Deathlist each year...

Which of these religious heavyweights will go first?

Next time, one of the options should be "that would be an ecumenical matter". -

GRAHAM GIVES UP THE (HOLY) GHOST 3/50 21st February 2018 God has finally acquiesced to popular demand, and made Rev Billy Graham a new house guest, and another success for the Crowdsourced Deathlist. A few months off his centenary, Graham was a trailblazer in the American God industry. While other evangelical preachers shouted loudly about hellfire and damnation, Billy Graham spoke softly and quietly... about hellfire and damnation. He became friendly with every US President from Truman on, and gave advice on the Vietnam War. His ministry moved into countries all over the world, and he sold out the likes of Wembley arena. While he held deeply ingrained views against communists, gay people and Jews, Graham did surprise the KKK with a conversion in his 40s against segregation, insisting his services be desegregated and becoming a good, if strained, friend of Martin Luther King. This was Billy Graham's third appearance on the Crowdsourced Deathlist.

2003-2018 (I never show ran so I don't have the 96-2002 teams to check...) Zsa Zsa Gabor - 1630 teams Rev Billy G - 1502 teams. Interesting. Be curious to see how some of the other long terms stack up - yer George Bushes and Kirk Douglases. Vera Lynn must be up there too.

"Exciting matches all round, Gary." "Engineer also played today, traveling to Firhill..." tbh I thought Billy G was on your team! I was thinking of Benny. You know, two really old, religious, guys...or something.

Billy Graham is dead! No, I'm serious. Don't look at me like I'm mad, he is actually dead. No, not the wrestling one, let's not get crazy here. But he's dead, and I'm not crazy or mad, Rover is actually 6 points clear on Spade!!! Elsewhere, the Rev's demise means Book equalises against Cap'n Chorizo, though the DDP runnerup in 2016 holds advantage on the age difference. Also, we have a goal in the Deathray v Sir Creep tie, at long bloody last, and it goes to Cup newcomer Sir Creep! His uni presidents and obscure mayors may live on, but the Hand of God was on hand for the assist. Hehehe. 1. Charon (Unrepentant) vs Maryportfuncity (Inter Youngboys FC) 6-0 2. Pedro (Trottingbum Hotsores) vs The Dead Cow 3-13 3. Young Willz (Glasgow Ron Weasley Ed Sheeran Slash Fanfiction Thistle Wanderers United) vs The Engineer 0-0 4. Grim Up North (Going Going GUN) vs Yorkshire Banker 6-3 5. Msc vs Wormfarmer 3-0 6. Spade Cooley (Great Railway Journeys with Hughie Gallacher and Robert Enke) vs Roverandout 3-9 7. Joey Russ vs Garn (Video Assistant Reaper) 7-0 8. Bibliogryphon (Bye Bye Biblio) vs Phantom of the Midway (AKA Rad Guy) 0-6 9. Sean (Shaun of the Dead’s Magical Funeral Parlour) vs Fixed Business (Business Fixed) 9-0 10. Gcreptile (The eaten tide pods) vs John Key 7-3 11. Deathray (First In, First Out and Never Invited to an Orgy Again) vs Sir Creep (The Month-to-Month Tenants) 0-3 12. Captain Chorizo vs Book (Never Heard of Soccer) 3-3

Goodness, there's a name that seemed to go on and on forever. One of the survivors from the first Deathlist I saw go up "live" at midnight on the 31st! 2009, only Cardin and Kirk D left.

It is nice to see the table updated per hit, btw. Back in the top ten for the first time since 2016! Admittedly, also the only time I've ever been in the top ten outside of that year. I'll enjoy this Indian Summer until the Vervoort fest! EDIT - Or until some random 90 year old carks it an hour later!

I thought Karunanidhi had died. Must be mistaking him for someone else that had shown up on Wiki's Dead list last year. Yer Hodgkin btw was Stuart Hodgkin, the terminally ill murderer. Someone I didn't pick in last years DDP due to the BBC local obits axing, and just as well, really: I can't see any news on him since 2016? Admittedly I spent 5 seconds looking on Google there, but anyhow...

Aye, it's not looking good for you, but who can tell - remember Fixed Business went 6 points down in the one day, so I'd guess another 6 point swing is entirely possibly.

One pick I suspect would have been popular has jumped the gun. Welwyn Hatfield Mayor Lynne Sparks died last week. Which I discovered yesterday looking up a team to lock into place. Was going to be my Sir Creep tribute pick and all. Alas, the team is now entirely predictable.

DOCTOR: Ah, these could be useful. You know, the very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common. (Leela turns slowly and raises the weapon.) DOCTOR: They don't alter their views to fit the facts. They alter the facts to fit their views, which can be uncomfortable (He spots Leela's blank face in a mirror.) DOCTOR: If you happen to be one of the facts that needs altering. -
Weird given they covered her release too, but hell, any QO is gold.

Convinced there was a police types thread here? Can't find it. Anyhow, John Orr, Strathclyde Police's top cop chap in the 90s and Killie chairman, dead at 72.

I know who Simply Red are, but I had to Google fondue sets (assumed it was sushi or something!) and Soda Streams. Chippy run by this old guy near Glasgow Uni about 10-15 years ago. Used to sell the usual but also had some of them (like chips and cheese) on the menu on the wall in French as well as English. French ones were triple the price. Same portion size too. Apparently he made a pretty penny off uni folk and typical West Enders. One of the Glasgow geniuses, that.

Mirror, Mirror on the wall, who's my favourite newspaper of them all? Well, until they do something idiotic of course. It's the Mirror after all... Nevin QO.

That explains The Knack song.

Well, that's me put in my place!

Bingo. Black Widow death probably means charon is in Round 2, unless he starts making Jewish jokes and gets banned. Word of advice, gonnae naw? Or get the team in first at least, priorities and all that. (Notes for Sir Creep and others that bit might go over the heads of - look at last years thread and see how Maryport got to Round 2...) Oh, and Rover is Over like...err...Rover. He leads Spade 6-3. Now, a unique hit from Spade could still win this tie, but well, there you have it. 1. Charon (Unrepentant) vs Maryportfuncity (Inter Youngboys FC) 6-0 2. Pedro (Trottingbum Hotsores) vs The Dead Cow 3-13 3. Young Willz (Glasgow Ron Weasley Ed Sheeran Slash Fanfiction Thistle Wanderers United) vs The Engineer 0-0 4. Grim Up North (Going Going GUN) vs Yorkshire Banker 6-3 5. Msc vs Wormfarmer 3-0 6. Well, I picked her and the Indy has just noticed. Shall be out most of next hour, so if any QO show up, that'd be nice.

The Rolling Probabilistic Ddp Scoreboard
msc replied to gcreptile's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Really, Spade nailed it a year ago, when he said (and I paraphrase here): the Drop 40 bonus isn't going to change the top of the table, it'll just be an added bonus for your casual player. As they'd change 1 (arguably) from 7 DDP winners, I'd agree. In fact, I'd say the same of all the bonuses. They're just a nice extra to have, but they're not going to change anything that matters, really. Now all this waffling on about unique bonuses, it is coming from your average DDPer, or the folk on here who try to play to win things? Because it looks so far like it's coming from the latter, and thus can be safely ignored? (Apart from bringing back the local BBC obits of course, but that's a different thing entirely...) -

Such stats need a comedy pay off... 2011 Drop 40 – kim jong il, taylor, hitchens, seve, betty ford, peter falk (has Alzheimer’s) 1. DDT – 110 2. Nearest challenge – 83 2/3 1. DDT – 111 2. Nearest challenge – 85 2/4 1. DDT – 114 2. Nearest challenger - 87 By removing the 13th bonus and replacing it with the suggested Drop 40 bonuses, we can see how the new system could reduce DDT's 2011 winning margin down to a mere 27 points. -
