    Wrestlers/actors

Note for folks given the above: LuFisto (real name Genevieve Goulet) was one of the top female wrestlers last decade, when the womens wrestlers who could actually wrestle weren't getting much chances in the WWE, but there was a range of good "indie" companies (pretty much same as in music) producing good quality stuff. If British papers are looking into her now, then it hypothetically opens the door to lots of talented folk who should obit here but don't.... Or they've gone for her because she's a 38 year old woman with cancer. Time will tell. Obv I'd like her to beat it. I'm all for more pro-wrestling coverage in the UK anyhow, given reason it wound up off ITV in the first place is because Greg Dyke thought it was "too working class" as an interest. Fuck Greg Dyke. There really is no start to his talents.
  2. Tbf, if you only had non-pointless posts per year, you'd probably have, what, 3 posts a year on the forum. Best thing to do it to not worry about things. Btw, I don't mind folks detailed analysis (you know, X might do Y because Z, not so much "I might do X", end of comment) but spacing them out is great. The short list stuff is amusing - one of these days someone is going to do a Rafa facts speech and bugger up the title in there. ^ These ones are good advice, and will help you a lot. I find reading up on the forum is a nice stress reliever tbh, Rad, but then, that might be down to me being a weirdo...

If The Sun is covering LuFisto that really opens the potential for deadpooling wrestling fans in the future.
  4. ^ See, I know folk are convinced/have evidence/whatever that Joey isn't Joey, but by goodness, it's a bloody good impression of a teenager's posts if that's the case. I haven't seen that much teenage angst and self-analysis since I was at school. Yes, I read Grim and Boudicca's parenthood posts with a grim realisation of what lies in the not so distance future here...

Yes, because the history of medicine is that medical techniques found to work on any sub-section of society have never been developed further. Hence why most of us are still dying of smallpox.

Where Will The Next School Massacre Be?

Lots of knives and shit out there, though. Had a few close calls with them and I'm the most risk-adverse boring sod you could think of!

There's guns in Scotland, too. I know folk who love their guns, and are members of pistol clubs. Only thing, all of them under go checks to make sure they're not, say, nutters, and the guns are kept in controlled environments. And US style mass shootings are practically unheard of here.

And I thought you'd OK'd my team, too. Right, that brings in a bunch of subs and replacements, will need to go check later. (For the record, and Biblio knows this already, I did only pick people listed as Grammy award winners on the official Grammy website!)

    John McCain

Just an over-partisan piece, forget it. imo if you really dislike someone beyond party politics - like, say David Cameron for being a useless fuckwit who screwed over your personal finances* - I find death far less rewarding than their living to an old age knowing their reputation is forever mud. Fate worse than death for your modern legacy obsessed politco. *Sean and others may wish to sub in Gordon Brown here if they so wish. It's an analogy, not a party political point.

I am more surprised when someone dies of cancer and Tierney misses them tbh.

    Morgan Tsvangirai

Well, that's a given. Our press (and government) have always gone for the "enemy of my enemy is my friend" policy, even when it comes back to bite us time and time again. As for Tsvangirai, was he corrupt? Probably. I mean, he was a politician who nearly got to the top of the greasy pole, that's surely a given. In some African countries (not all), doubly so. But beyond that, I think he was fairly brave to put his head above the parapet as a Mugabe alternative, even if it was for personal gain, especially post the early 2000s crackdowns. I doubt he'd ever have become President, because he had the chance in 2008, and gave it up. Lacked that killer instinct, literally. If he'd held firm, he'd likely have toppled Mugabe, at the cost of likely several thousand dead. Perhaps he was worried about his own skin, I don't know, never met him. One can only go with his public reason for now, and it holds better than Rab Butler's completely bottling it in 57. Anyhow, likely a man neither a saint nor an outright villain by political standards, but I dare say he probably managed his role better than any of our government would have in his place, or the sycophantic Blairite wing of the Labour party (Corbyn's lot goes without saying here, but I mean the ones who think they'd all be brilliant leaders because they nodded at a Tony Blair speech once, despite all evidence to the contrary - see Chuka Umuna)...

There is no gun control debate in America, nor will there be. As soon as it was decided that the killing of weans (ie Sandy Hook) was more acceptable than gun checks, it was game over.

Only game I picked Morgan for, and he was a replacement for Steffan Lewis!
  20. TSVANGIR-DIED 2/50 14th February 2018 Zimbabwean politician Morgan Tsvangirai has died from cancer to give The Crowdsourced Deathlist another success. Tsvangirai became known to western audiences when he became leader of the opposition in Zimbabwe, not really a job which promises great health security. He contested the 2002 and 2008 Presidential elections, and there was the great controversy when it looked like he had actually beaten Mugabe in 2008 (certainly, he appeared to have the popular vote). Tsvangirai became Prime Minister in 2009, in a move which angered the South African variation of the Bernie Bros, and he never did get to the Presidency, though he lived to see Mugabe deposed. Rumours have been circulating for some time about his health, which saw many doubters (hi!) and an omission from this years Deathlist. However, he has proven his doubters wrong here by comprehensively dying aged 65 of cancer. Zimbabwe's political future appears to be in the hands of a crocodile.

Spurs did no bad last night, but Liverpool have torn Porto to shreds there, 5-0. Their record defeat at home in Europe was the 3-1 from Besiktas last year before tonight!
