Watching ITV's Greatest TV Moments of All Time show. It's dire. John Cleese looking quite old, voice creaking at times. Whereas William Roache looks the same as ever, while in him yet, imo. Andre Previn looks OK for his age but might be worth a punt before too long. David Jason "unable" to provide even a video link for his award - likely because the show is shit, but mentioned just in case he snuffs it in a few months.

I think you have a right to be bitter there, she should have got an obit and likely would 100% nowadays with the Guardian chasing the Oz market.
-
Hmm, Elias is my 47th DDP hit, all time. I mean, it's not quite 100, but I'll be interested to see who is number 50 all the same!
-
Well, I hope Angela Lansbury doesn't believe in the rule of 3 thing...
-
Oh if she gets on by one team, you can have a hearty laugh at my expense for that B-team inclusion.
-
*nods* And why do you think I'd like her to avoid the Drop 40? Other than it being a bit ghoulish of course.
-
I'm more hopeful Vervoort didn't make the Drop 40, tbh!
-
Yeah, if Buzz Aldrin wasn't Deathlisty we might as well all pack up and go home. Hopefully wont need a spot on the List for some time yet.
-
I'd say "what about the Trans-Siberian Railway?" but really, I don't get all my bad jokes off Dave Gorman...
-
Yeah, even Pink News didn't mention her death in a mention of the case. I dispute this "widely known" theory.
-
StarCrossed is a bit like BCAlum - mention him and he suddenly appears on forum like the Candyman in a mirror.

There's a massive Italian population in the UK. Did you think the UK's love of pasta dishes, pizza, ice cream and garlic breads came from British entrepreneurial spirit? Though if Spade had seen the utterly rank carbonara I tried to cook the other night, I'd be starting the DDP on minus 30.

All this talk of planes reminds me (I lie, I saw him on TV last night) of Richard Wyatt, former news presenter from the 70s and 80s. Only 69 now, but arguably done remarkably well to reach that, given that in 1976 a plane crashed into him while presenting a piece to camera! Apparently instead of dying like a normal human, the plane wound up taking more serious damage. Incident's on youtube.

See, that is what 2017 was missing - Flight Radar posts, by non-dilettantes! That, and I had to fix all my technology issues by myself! (PS This explains the big fire in Glasgow last year... )
-
He wasn't on the list (as no one really predicts an out of the blue heart attack in a 67 year old on holiday in Spain) but it reminds me vaguely that in 2007, some of the press ran "Frank Butcher returning to Eastenders?" stories about a fortnight before Mike Reid died.
-
The deterioration between the Loose Women interview and that video yesterday (in what? 10 days?) suggests this is wishful thinking.
-
Right, correct me if I'm wrong, but don't soaps have a habit of recasting characters? Because their soap insider says "Zoe could always return", not Leah, who will have a bit of problem returning before too long.
-
Well, remember it was only around 2014 when TMIB changed the rules to allow even that small grace period. It used to be, the bells rang, and even obits that came in at 5 past midnight were too late. Ron Searle for example, the St Trinians guy.
-
Again? They wont know if he's cummings or goings at this rate. I'll get my coat.
-
Yep, but the combined democratic will of the forum sometimes has a different idea of what is Deathlisty (and tbh, sometimes the Cmme do too!). It does even out in the end though, mostly, I think.

The Rolling Probabilistic Ddp Scoreboard
msc replied to gcreptile's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
It never has, and I'm not sure it ever will. -
I never said she was! Just bringing in the stats. PS Elizabeth Gilbert surely wouldn't, being fringes of fame here - Rayya's widow.
-
Good luck with that, Rad, its been a good competition. I see myself as the outsider despite the lead as there's only likely 500 points still on the table ie if Bracknell, Rae and Gilbert go. I used to think Drol was the favourite, until I glanced over Death Impends' team, ALL of which I could see being gone by May. Perhaps this'll be another competition with a late late win!
-
In the last fortnight of the year, Rayya Elias went from being a cert for the list to finishing well wide. Anyhow, with 148 points and a 67th place finish, she is the first near miss of 2018.

You'll never guess what one of the answers on Pointless is tonight. Elizabeth bloody Gilbert! It's serendipity.
