Yep, luckily MPFC has a sub joker from me as I didn't expect her to reach January 1st. In fact, that I said the 3 wouldn't make it, and 2 are gone now, doesn't really speak confidence for those who picked the Home and Away star.
-
That'll shorten the shortlist.

Good overall point with one tiny flaw. Not only did Ahmad get a Qualifying obit, he was on Spade's winning DDP team that year! And yes, I am going to post this even if the Captain ninja-replied.

Bored waiting for Muhammadu Buhari to get ill? Why not take a punt on his son instead?

So How's Your 2018 Shortlist Looking?
msc replied to Joey Russ's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
This Woody Harrelson terminal cancer thing is really mucking up a lot of my last minute search terms. -
I mean it's not great, but still better than anything written by Simon Armitage at least...

Which is why I was surprised Carmen Franco - very famous in Spain - got turned down, as did one headline news type from the UK*. But it's their pool, their rules! *This turned out a blessing in disguise, of course. -
msc agrees with the overall sentiment on this Pan Breed favourite (TM).

A Gcreptile pick: under the radar somewhat, relatively well known (perhaps even a European angle but not neccessary), possibly 50/50 but with enough knowledge to make an educated guess. See Pierre Boulez, Gary DeCarlo, Paul Cox for examples. I don't explain it very well, it's like someone being Deathlisty. I'm not sure what a "msc-pick" would be. Someone old who lives? My thoughts exactly. Charles Bradley was another. -

They also need to have international fame IN the US. Which is where non-Yank me falls down a lot. -

Heh, I was looking over my shortlist earlier and spent it thinking "that name will be on TJS 2018" or "That one is such a Gcreptile pick" and so on. Try to predict the other teams. DDT is the trickiest, he always comes up with good out there picks (out there as in off radar and successful). Technically every shot at putting a main team together has the same 14 names, so I guess that's 14 locks and 6 spaces left. Locks in the "I'll be picking them", not in the "100% going to die", of course. -
If she stays it could be trouble If she goes it could double (points if she's your joker) So you got to let her know Should she stay or should she go?

Ah, I've probably just spoiled the twist! "Read the A-Z the other day. Turns out, the zebra did it." A 90s comic but I forget which one.
-
Octopus's explanation for that back in the day.
-
Bit of a kicker for those excitedly waiting for Z is for Zebra.

NOT DEAD Cribbins is 89 today! Also, he's reading the bedtime story on Cbeebies - apparently filmed recently - and looking very good for his age. Heartening to see, I like Bernard Cribbins.

Nothing wrong with R.E.M. Automatic was a fine album, and Monster has its moments. They've got a lot of drudgery but hey... Travis sing "Why does it always rain on me" and the next line isn't "is it because I live in fucking Scotland?" for shame.

Rose Marie was in 452nd place or something daft. No worries there. Carmen Franco was in 43rd place. In come lots of sub points which don't change much. Without spoiling things, as it stands after 30 lists 50. 155 points --- 51. 155 points 52. 154 points 53. 152 points 54 149 points 55 148 points 56 142 points 57 138 points 58. 138 points 59. 137 points 60 136 points I won't carry on, you get the point: ludicrously close even now. And we're talking big deadpooling names too. At this point, the only list still expected is Sean. Spade and DDT might get lists in but I'm not going to push them. Others like, oh, TMIB, charon, LB, Dead Cow, Sir Creep to name but a few are more than welcome to put in a list of 12 names (or more) at this stage if they want.

No harm in asking nicely, I'd assume, though probably better once the Drop 40 is up on the website and not when he's knee deep in 400 shit DDP teams, all of which have people who died in 1997. PS Bit of history for you on this subject:
-
Ali gave points from Boxing Day onwards last few goes iirc. But that is down to Ali or whoever takes the game on further. Btw, @Rotten Ali, when you see this: you're a top deadpool organiser, and Deathlist forum poster. Don't let a hectic real life grind you down too much, we'll all be here when you're about. Ok, not Cat and Magere, we've misplaced them down the back of a sofa, but most of us!

Ozzy Osbourne cannot die. Only the actors who play Ozzy Osbourne.

Dude was from Malaysia, current population circa 32 million. Abdul thingy of Kedah right? Also, mentioned fairly regularly in press here, then he died: nowt. Anyone missing an obit there has a right to be aggrieved imo.
