I absolutely welcome her to the 100 Club. Brilliant writer. I like how each of her last...6 or so books have basically said "this will probably be my last book".
-
She was on my Deathrace team (for 2017!) as reports were she didn't have long left at New Year. A great pick, as you can see - the Deathrace having ended over 300 days ago.

One of those names I often felt like adding for a bit of variety to one of my deadpool entries but never found the space. F for Fake might star a down on his luck past his prime Orson Welles, but it is still a great film by anyone else's standards.

It's always a surprise, imo, to find out Denis Lawson is that young. He always seemed like a man pushing 70 in things for a decade or two! He was very good in an episode of Inside No 9 recently, much recommended. Leslie Schofield has the Star Wars/Blakes 7/Doctor Who hat trick to his name. Been in shitloads but not seen him in anything new in a while. Shane Rimmer was one of the Thunderbirds and wrote a number of Captain Scarlet episodes too. Still does a fair bit of voice acting. I know Harry Fielder (extra but his CV will get an obit) was ill a while ago.

Aye, I'm all for as many DDP teams dropping her as possible but the Deathlist would be foolish to, given she reaches average survival length for her illness in March/April 2018.

Local council, who tried to demolish The Headington Shark, now considering giving it listed status. Hopefully if they decide to, they do it within the chap's lifetime.

All they needed to do was add Sasha Lakovic to that list...

Damian Green resigns. A sweepstake on what lives longer - Leah Bracknell's life or Theresa May's career - might be a close run thing now. Please nobody start that poll. Thanks. -
So How's Your 2018 Shortlist Looking?

LOL. Just realised I'd noted down someone as being diagnosed with their illness in April 2017, not April 2015. *takes two years off their life expectancy* Also, while the local obits only (not the BBC sports page, I must be going blind) person is 100% off the team, another person I rated at 30% QO obit chances previously turns out to have had a few articles of late in The Telegraph. So that was nice. -
Which one are you?

Note to self: always beware cancer malarkey.

Confirmed in Mirror obit by dude who shows up to talk shit on WWE Network once a month.
-
Ah but Joey, wait till the day you close in on a deadpool win. I remember my (only) one well, which I discovered through a confirmation PM from MPFC. My first thought? "He must have sent it to the wrong person!"

I sense excitement/impatience.

Also, because of the Hewlett (sp?) Rule?

Bullshitting herself, imo. Article doesn't say "this isn't my last Christmas", it says: ie she can't let herself admit she's dying.
-
Not sure if people watched Flo Bjelke-Peterson as much as they kept an eye on her DDP points scoring husband, but she was mentioned a few times on here, and she is dead aged 97. List of the Missed from 2006!

^ Always, YW. See the Beeb doing their memorial show on Friday, so expect carnage ala 2016's last week of the year. As for me, I've just twigged one of my locks is actually on the wrong part of the BBC main page, and thus not eligible for the DDP. Bugger that. -
Apparently she came out to Archie, who died in the famous plane crash*. Whereas that kiss scene was 1994 and Anna Friel was 17 at the time**. *In case this looks like surprising soap knowledge for me, Bernard Archard (Scarman, Pyramids of Mars) got bumped off in that disaster, having only debuted in Emmerdale a few months prior. Always trust a Who fan to remember shit. **In case this looks like surprising soap knowledge for me, I'm a guy.

It's the team of year to look over shortlists and realise some slightly less than A-list names actually died a month or two ago and you never noticed. Step forward Robert Clyde, serial rapist, child abuser and general all round scum, who died in hospice care in September. Would have been good for Hares/Deathrace/Deathlist Cup points, but anyhow, the fucker's dead, no tears here.

The only people not to get a Daily Mail obituary this year were the folk on my DDP team!
-
Made a brief appearance in the new White Hart Lane doc (repeating a fair bit on BT Sport): Saint might enjoy the World Cup but Greaves looks unlikely to (even if still alive at that point), which is a complete turnaround from how it looked circa summer 2016.
