Given the Hares shortlist fiasco of 2017 (where I had to add about 5 subs at the last minute), I will send in a team very close to deadline. Remind me if I've forgotten nearer the time, thanks.
-
We've reached the number of lists from last year, with 18 days to go and many of the usual suspects still to send in lists. One of the names on this years top 20 actually has over double the points they had in 2017.

Ah, when I was in the hospital earlier, all I saw on the BBC News screen was "due to unforeseen family reasons". That explains that one. Also, he appears to have cancelled work into 2019?

iirc Dresnok's obits said he "suffered" 50 years of living off a government pension, having meals prepared for him, and drinking and fishing. I mean, views of North Korea aside here, it's not really a glowing disincentive, is it...

Update if one was needed, on Matt Cappotelli.

Political Discussions And Ranting Thread
msc replied to Deathray's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
I support Trump in this endeavour. Christ, YW, lets keep him distracted for a bit from anything important! -
They just covered Manson a few weeks ago. They love their "and then he turned out to be a monster" bits for midway through the episode.
-
I was actually really surprised when they actually hung Saddam. I was convinced they'd do a fudge deal.
-
Only 21 days and 42 mins to wait. Well, I say that, no doubt it'll leak early as usual...
-
That's as close to Word from God as you're going to get on Stefan Karl. He isn't going on the list.

So... not the Rangers guy?

They did. Not entirely a pointless thread bump, despite everyone missing the all important 31st anniversary, for shame. I don't remember where I was 31 years ago - teething, mostly. Anyhow, given we have a whole bunch of younger posters on here now, I was curious what was their first remembered celebrity deaths? Instead of starting a new thread for this, I went and found the actual thread with everyone's memories in it, and ask Joey, Rad, Sean, any others I forget. Oh yeah, and a correction. On the previous page I said my earliest memory of a celebrity death was Roy Castle. It turns out Peter Cushing died a few weeks earlier, so is actually the correct answer. Right, as you were.

What he said. Thinking more Bernard Hepton, less Patrick Cryne. Of course, I did say "no Brackers, no Downie, no Meads and no Christie" last December and turned out wrong on 3 of the 4, so what do I know? Nothing.

Only person I'd absolutely guarantee the Cmme will go for in that post is Bracknell. Bar McCain, the rest have nearly a 0% chance.

There are only 50 spots!
-
Please start a thread on Peter Tobin next. Thanks in advance.

Aye, but that metastatic cancer, going to be a tough ask to see 2019...
-
Yep, think she'll be a cult pick on the DDP next year, for sure.
-
She lasted a whole 51 minutes.

And that was a surprise call up, too! Naturally I'd never complain if Mary got a call up (or Crowdsourced points)...
-
^ Aye, Sir Anthony died 40 years ago! She's the British equivalent of a Lady Bird Johnson. The thread is fine. I do think if Eden or (Pan Breed favourite) Mary Wilson were going to appear on the Deathlist, however, they would have done so by now.
-
Damn, I had Joey announcing this one on my own personal Deathlist bingo.
-
As I think I've said before, he does strike me as an "anytime in the next 5 years" pick, but trying to pin point the exact time is tricky. Especially if he performs again tonight. We can see the light but the tunnel length is hard to judge.
-
I didn't even have time to see the thread existed before he snuffed it!
