Can imagine some 2004-5 DDPers tearing their hair out at that one.

Graham Rix (who fits into the modern climate, really) had a heart attack earlier this year, apparently. Maybe one to keep an eye on - he's 60, and doesn't seem destined for old age.

Breaking: dead.

The dull answer is that if we all stopped watching or reading or listening to the work of scum, there'd be fuck all films, books and music left. Distance obviously helps - Dickens was a grade A twat to women, but he's been dead 150 years - but currently, really, separate the art from the artist if at all possible. Also, see House of Cards? BBC did it in 1990 with Ian Richardson. Much better, and the leads not getting Weinsteined because he died years ago. Watch that instead.

Aye, this was going back a few years now. Don't even think Norton still has a chat show on BBC?
-
Aye, reminds me of Robert Duvall on the Norton show. Norton - Any plans for a rest? Duvall - Well, I'm 84. I'll be having a long rest before too long!

Asked the wife. round here, that one is circa 20 max per prescription, or less if high risk. Knew the in-laws history would come in use. -

^ Doubt it. I'm fairly trusted by my doc now and they still give out a max prescription (of other stuff, admittedly) of about 80 pills at a time. Especially doubt it as trammadol is (apparently) addictive and easily overdose-able? -
I bow to your knowledge in these matters but didn't he have another heart issue earlier this year?
-
I mentioned this guy last year, and I'm not really sure why. Anyhow, he died in May, apparently. Very acclaimed! Also, not even useful for Deathrace points. Just tying up a loose end, as it were.

Well, you know, Joey, you know how someone with Stage IV cancer keeps quiet, and it's usually seen as bad news. That's a bridge that can be crossed both ways. But... that level of cancer that spread after surgery to remove it? Statistically, he should be fucked.
-
He's had a bunch of those, but then, I guess the smell of death surrounds him.

She had some (niche) fame before illness, but then, nothing compared to the Tragically Hip or Emmerdale, and some folk hadn't heard of those terminal folk before either. Obviously being terminally ill brings her to the attention of deadpoolers when her book might not, but that's par for the course, really.

Well, say you were the Daily Mail editor. Lesbian immigrant/asylum seeker dies young-ish of cancer, wrote some lefty book, and a Christian apologist blonde female writer dumped her husband to hook up with her. Could you resist that obituary? Because I'm pretty sure they can't.

pancreatic AND liver cancer. But you know, vagaries of death. I know of folk who beat prognosis not through fighting*, but just...not dying, even otherwise entirely defeated. Whilst strong Rock of Gibraltar folk can get wiped out inside a week. *Obviously they were fighting, but you know what I mean: cancer everywhere, unable to eat/speak, you know.

Well there was the case of Jack Poole, but I can't mind if he was "in remission" at any point in his circa 26 month battle.
-
The most ominous thing for her seeing the bells is who has her in the top 5 currently, and... who doesn't. It's a fiver.

Starts thread on Saturday. Thread ends on... oh...Tuesday?

Ominous long winter above. For all we know, it could see to me, and then the Deathlist Cup 2018 will need to be hosted by Bladan!

When my grandad was in the hospice, they let him out to see a Celtic match he'd been looking forward to. He died about a fortnight after this. Mind you, afterwards, he kept telling me how shite they'd played, but you know, best laid plans!
-
Maybe he....wants to? And Barbara didn't exactly look like she was in prime position to force much of anything at her last public appearance.

School comes first, we'll still be here when you have the time. Unless the Reaper gets us first! Secondly, oooh still ahead, but not by much. I expect drol to take the lead in the second half of the competition, he has a fine team.

Ah, they're on your shortlist, gotcha. But yeah, John Derrick could have been a unique for me if I hadn't named him on here. Instead, he was a unique for someone else! See also Derek Martinus. Couldn't possibly comment.
