Idea for a theme team - 20 names people have randomly mentioned looking frail in the previous year on the DL forums. Could win the DDP at this rate!

Ken Buchanan dead aged 77.

Yeah, Shivakumara Swami's daughter swapped places with him when he died of the flu in the 1930s.

Lawler was clearly post-stroke imo but on the mend. Jimmy fucking Hart looked and sounded amazing for his age. He's 79 now. 99% of wrestlers are in the grave at his age!

As long as Wolf is OK! I remember well Shadow being fired for drugs addiction. We used to love him as he was take no prisoners, especially in Duel where he was undefeated. Whenever they'd show repeats after the firing they had to put a disclaimer that this was filmed before his firing!

Bushwhacker Butch has been hospitalised in LA after taking seriously ill earlier today.

A quick post midnight glance suggests @wannamakerhas a very good team on paper and this will be a tough tie. Best wishes.

It was a promotional piece done for the BBC in the year leading up to us hosting Eurovision again, with a not so subtle about the licence fee. Every artist was paid £250 which was minimum appearance fee at the time. But then people quite liked it as a song (or as a game of spot the singer!) and Lou Reed gave permission for it to be re-released to raise money for Children in Need later that year. I quite like it - the individual lines route means no guest singers get drowned out, like with other charity singles where everyone does the chorus. It gave Dr John (!) a UK number one, and means Bowie, Suede, Ian Broudie and Shane MacGowan contributed to the same single. It also helps that the original is a great song. iirc it's one of Tammy Wynette's last appearances before her death too.

"Dr Jones, Dr Jones, calling Dr Jones, Dr Jones, Dr Jones, get up now." Strange how such complex lyrics are so easy to remember... Turn Back Time was the main song for Sliding Doors, and far more like the slow sad pop songs of the late 90s than, well, Aqua. Apparently they had another four top 30 hits! Didn't know. That's more than Neil Young, Joni Mitchell and Nina Simone put together.

I have a deeply uninspiring cup team in for next month, though if I do advance by LOTL DQ'd hit it would feel like a complete cheat tbh and harsh on @TheKillingTime.

Upminster one of the few genuine Tory safe seats in London. Labour briefly held it in 1997 before the Tories took it back in 2001 and have dominated ever since. Bonsor was replaced post-election as minister by Tony Lloyd, who is now the Rochdale MP after ousting the horrible Simon Danczuk. (Who knew you could make being the guy "better than your predecessor" a career choice?) Worth recalling Lloyd having problems with cancer at the moment.

Saints look fucked because they just keep drawing/losing games they need to win. Gravity is against Forest and Bournemouth. I'd like Everton to go down because they've been so awful for ages, a regroup in a lower league could be the Newcastle/Villa kick they need. Or, you know, they could do a Sunderland... Leeds/Leicester/Wolves all feel like they have enough results in them to stay up. Palace are the ones who could keep Forest/Bournemouth up tbh. Their remaining fixtures are kind, but if they lost them, they're down - mostly teams below them in the league. Also, Roy Hodgson looked like he was going to keel over at any second when he retired 18 months ago, and now he's back!

All these 70/barely 80 year old MPs keep dying. Meanwhile, my go to picks of Dick Taverne and Dr Taylor couldn't be healthier!

"Stop being a useless fucker" is solidly underrated political advice tbf.

You are right. That IS a horrible feeling!

Now I'm generally of the view that folk who have to tell you how much sex they're having really aren't shagging much at all. That said, here's the latest from the world of Marty Jannetty where he rants about his girlfriend being upset by his number of girlfriends only to be distracted and start a tribute to the much missed Curt Hennig. Drugs are one hell of a drug. I do like Fightful saying at least he didn't try and confess to murder this time he was high. Almost tempted to add him to my DDP team because he won't see 68.

Someone who had spent time in intensive care with heart issues felt a bit like they were against the spirit of the game, even if it was a few years ago. For me, anyhow.

It was in 2006 because he announced he had multiple terminal cancers just before Christmas (what a helpful chap for deadpoolers) and then also announced he was going to do a show in January, only to die. As for age, not sure, but I think he was in his early 70s. 73?

The Eternal song I knew as soon as I'd heard it again. Like the Fugees song and well remember Spaceman but there's just other stuff to vote for. 54 No Doubt – Don’t Speak 36 The Prodigy – Firestarter 35 Oasis – Don’t Look Back in anger 32 White Town – Your Woman 32 Deep Blue Something - Breakfast at Tiffany's +4 31 Spice Girls – 2 Become 1 31 Spice Girls – Wannabe 30 Olive – You’re Not Alone 30 Mark Morrison – Return of The Mack 29 The Fugees – Killing Me Softly 27 Will Smith – Men in Black 26 Aqua – Barbie Girl 24 Spice Girls – Mama / Who Do You Think You Are 24 Various Artists – Perfect Day 23 Blur – Beetlebum 23 Gina G – Ooh Aah … Just a little bit 23 The Verve – The Drugs Don´t Work 22 Spice Girls – Too Much 22 Spice Girls – Say You'll Be There 22 Spice Girls – Spice Up Your Life 21 Babylon Zoo – Spaceman 21 The Fugees – Ready Or Not 20 George Michael – Fastlove 20 The Chemical Brothers – Setting Sun 20 L L Cool J – Ain´t Nobody 20 The Chemical Brothers – Block Rockin´ Beats 20 Eternal & BeBe Winans – I Wanna Be The Only One 19 The Prodigy – Breathe 17 Michael Jackson – Blood On The Dancefloor 14 Gary Barlow – Love Won´t Wait 12 Tori Amos ft.
