They are a new team to avoid paying, but want to be considered by everyone as the old team. Fucking hypocrites.

msc replied to Dr. Zorders's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Well, Lord knows the Daily Mail like to show their appreciation... Look, I know, old line, but the goal was open... -
In off the record news that will interest only @Davey Jones' Locker (so the rest of you can ignore this post), was speaking to someone in the know about current Vatican politics yesterday. Apparently the gossip is that there's quite the battle going on between Francis/his friends, and the pro-Benedict Cardinals/etc, mostly picked by Benedict or JPII and basically a whole lot of arseholes. The former lot (Pope and pals) want to "throw Pell to the wolves", possibly for PR but mostly because it'd be politically very good for them. The pro-Benedict lot are completely the opposite. So if Pell goes back to Australia depends on who wins - Pope or his predecessor, essentially.

Hmmm. October. Keep in mind I tend to wildly overstate people's life expectancy.

The New Rangers are fucking shite.

From that article, Larry Matysik is still going? Was in frail health back in 2014 and must be well into his 70s at least now

Maria Menounos, TV personality type, has surgery to remove a brain tumour. In other news, her mum has stage IV brain cancer. Could have gone in wrestling, fringes, and god knows how many threads, so up here it goes.

Sunny is 45 in December. Over/under on her outliving Chyna's 46 years 5 months?

Mr Feeney is KITT? Never knew that.

Hey, I'm right here, guys, you know! Swings and roundabouts: for all I know, half the people Joey mentions might turn out smart picks by Jan 1st. Realistically, the late dropping of Skellern/Hewlett/Snuka/Aikman/Wetton meant 50 points dropped by February - tough to make that up. Don't know what it says that my "ill luck of a decade in one year" run is still my 2nd best DDP performance, ever. Oh yeah, that years of suggesting Bernie Nolan and Sid Waddell to others then picking Michael fucking Jopling weren't smart...

Second worst Mirror error this year behind not giving an obit to Lakovic.

Silly papers! Don't worry, assumed that was the case, and not you setting up the expert con on Shaun to nab deadpooling points.

Well, thats an usual turn of events for YW - wires crossed?

True, he probably has child minders and people to do stuff but I tended to find marriage plus toddlers = libido killer, myself.

"Man, being admitted to this hospice is some eerie foreshadowing..."

With Rosey and Chavo Sr going too, it's not been the year to be the wrestling brother of a more famous sibling. The non-Road Dogg Armstrong brothers, David Crockett, and Sam Houston must be shitting themselves.

Sod the legality, it was a fine thing of beauty, regardless.

That really would lead to a quick Deathlist double hit.

Not convinced about the dementia talk if Tony Booth is Toast. She's far too coherent.

Better job security working for SPECTRE...

I remember where I was when I heard Jimmy Stewart died: wondering why my grandfather was so upset at the death of an actor I'd never heard of! Of course, Jimmy is great: Rear Window, Rope, Vertigo, Liberty Valance, Mr Smith, Wonderful Life, Harvey, and so on - too many great films to name them all. On that note... Not a famous name, actually, but it's actually the 10th anniversary of my grandfather's death. He swore by the bottle (or the can/shot/entire pint glass full of whisky, all of them, he wasn't fussy) and outlived each of his temperance movement bound friends. He of the "drinking whisky because terminally ill with lung/liver cancer" anecdote I've mentioned before. A thorough Celtic man who used to phone us up at 1am, drunk, to discuss Stephen King and Jesuits... often in the same sentence. I always remember his solid Deathlist-esque advice: "It never ceases to amaze me who you outlive. There's people dying today who've never died before in all their lives!" Too true.

Yeah, I thought SKS would be a decent November-December pick (and thus good money on the Hares Pool) but when pancreatic cancer decides to stick the knife in, you're done, pretty much.
