Tories might think they have a chance because of the rumblings that there's never been any canvassing done in Bolsover. Thing is, Skinner's done the exact same campaign each election since 1970, and it hasn't harmed him yet. Plus, he has widespread respect (if not support) across the community (as told to me by a staunch Tory) and I doubt there's really the will to vote him out, when there's likely to be a by-election before far too long anyhow. If Bolsover goes Tory, the Labour party are going down to below 20 seats, imo.

A not entirely dead Labour in Scotland is to the SNPs best interests. Stops the Unionist vote solidifying behind the Tories in a number of seats, might save a good chunk of SNP MPs. Dunno.
