We're really going to struggle for famous new centenarians in 2018 at this rate.
-
Ah, he got kept on the list. Couldn't remember earlier.
-
It's a list that qualifies everyone under the sun from Segovia to Patrick Moore, via Bernie Nolan, zombie Bette Davis, and lots of somewhat obscure public figures. It just is, and any structures or mascots come along by accident rather than design, imo.

Here's a template for all of his goals for club and country. I got bored very quickly. 1. 5th January 2008 – Vampira or Edmund Hillary? 2. 26th April 2008 – Albert Hofmann? 3. 21st October 2008 – Studs Terkel? From horror to kids tv, he had quite the range.

Was rewatching Asylum last night. Beyond's Bayldon's memorable turn (and Herbert Lom setting the OTT dial to 11), it also seems to suggest Britt Ekland can act. Then I Wiki'd her and discovered she's about to turn 75!!!

Poor Lonnie. Highly important in British music history, even if he comes across as dated now. True story. He died of a heart attack while preparing to take part on a George Harrison memorial gig.
-
Full marks for including Lonnie Donegan on a list of very famous and/or highly talented musicians, imo.
-
Roger Moore also fits into the Bowie/Rickman/Ronnie Corbett mode: if his health had been public, he'd have been on the list. But it wasn't.
-
Yeah.

You'll think Allman is Ramsey's latest victim, but then we'll all wake up and find out Michael Caine is dead or something.
-
Noted. Though I suspect you'll be needing to ask Toast or Ali nicely there.
-
I missed nearly the entire Princess Diana death week stuff, being on holiday at the time in Italy. Discussion of it since has made that sound the best timed family holiday we ever had.
-
Subject of a book, even. Not read it though, but it sounds pretentious as all hell.
-
Ron Moody's death got announced an hour before that of Sir Christopher Lee. Groucho Marx, internationally famous. Legend. Death entirely overshadowed by that of Elvis a few days earlier.
-
First "canon" Bond, @Weebl. David Niven and several others from Casino Royale are gone, as is Barry Nelson, Bob Holness, etc etc. I also prefer Roger Moore to Sean Connery, but then, I got into the films as a kid and find the Moore films more child friendly.

Well, there was the moment my former (useless) MP lost his seat (after predicting he'd avoid the SNP landslide) and, when asked on the BBC what had led to his downfall, replied: "No enough votes".

Damn, I bought mine brand new in 2015 on the promises of Sturgeon, Miliband and Jarndyce and Jarndyce, and yet it remains in its box unused... -

Always thought Neil was better than Paxman as an interview tbh. Paxman goes right into attack mode, so most folk are on defence from the off. Neil can lead people gently into a trap with their own responses, and then snap it shut. Dimbleby is back for the election night coverage, presumably as no one wants Huw bloody Edwards to do it. -
Academic and elections expert Sir David Butler showing up on Newsnight tonight, looking not half bad for a man on the verge of 93. He's also, apparently, legit joined Twitter. For those not in the know, he's a proper legend - guaranteed obits across the board when he goes.

Do whatever you want at uni. Futures likely to be screwed regardless. -
Was very close to making my 2016 team, but not close enough. By now, I'd forgotten all about her.

Dashing pic in The Guardian of Deadly Doug as he gives some dosh to the Tories.
