CATWEAZLE BAYLS OUT 8/50 11th May 2017 The great British character actor, Geoffrey Bayldon, has died at the age of 93 to give The Crowdsourced Deathlist its eighth hit of the year. Bayldon, who died after a long illness, was best known to TV audiences as Catweazle, a popular TV show from the 1970s about a time traveling magician which conjured the hearts of the nations children. He was much in demand over the course of a career spanning seven decades, at home in school education programmes and Amicus horror films alike. He also turned down the role of Doctor Who in 1963. Other roles include Casino Royale, The House That Dripped Blood, and obligatory roles in The Avengers and Tales of the Unexpected. Some Crowdsourced Deathlist hits bring with them melancholy, but not to worry, someone like Ian Brady will die soon to redress the balance...

Heard it mentioned recently along the lines of him "being into lost causes like his dad". That's a reference which might mean more to you than me, though.

Of all the MH options, "dead" is a long behind "couldn't be arsed anymore", "doing stuff in real life" and "he had a big barney with Paul who is really pissed off no one asked him if he's OK since" as top reasons for his no longer posting, imo.
