He could also do so badly he stays on as leader ie down to 20 odd MPs, so the renomination threshold becomes 2, and Abbott and another don't let him resign.

Christie. And yes, while it might be another case of 2009, it could just as easily be another case of 2014! Time will tell.
-
It was an interesting one too, but this thread is pretty much reliant around its host. Especially when some of us don't actually get round to the episodes till weeks after, depending on personal schedule. I think this is the first time this year I'm actually on the current weeks!

Election fraud wont overthrow a government with a triple figure majority. Or indeed, any government, but specifically...

Was on the BBC News itself, mentioned as an "ongoing" health issue.

Skellern? Oh la la... Since Coward, here.

Not so sure. Flynn's the type who might be right up for a "backs against the wall" fight and then survive while folk with far better majorities fall. Chris Stephens, SNP. A lot better than his predecessor.

Things To Do While Waiting For Death

There's a whole bunch of them like this. I scored 50/50 on the 2004 Deathlist, but that's because I'd done a few by then and names stick in your mind! Which of you is this, then? -
DL Status Updates: Statements, Obsevations & Verbal Tennis

Two random and meaningless Sunday afternoon type facts. 1. If you take what her character Diana says about being there in Cambodia as a correspondent when she became a pensioner, then Stephanie Cole is still younger today than her character in Waiting for God. Which, incidentally, is a fine sitcom and is being repeated on one of the Freeview channels, Drama I think. 2. The row of luxury flats where I believe Peter Arne lived (and was murdered), going from the limited clues online, appears to host the Ecuadorian embassy which Assange is hiding in today. Not the exact building, but a curio quirk of history, I thought. -
I mentioned this thread to the wife last night. "Poster on Deathlist made shitloads of new threads the other week, including one for Loretta Lynn, who was neither ill or famous enough. Well, she's just had a stroke." "What do you mean? Loretta Lynn is very famous!" Well, that's me told by my own version of the Clapham bus knowledge test, then.

Ah, good. Alas, I feel 2015-17 version favourite "The Ghost" David Winnick is odds on to lose his seat in a few weeks. Terribly sad when likely open goals are taken away from you.

26/26 The clues were easy for most, and I know of the Marcus Garvey incident for how amusingly bonkers it was. -
I saw that. Win against them to seal...another two matches against them!

One of those names I've literally only heard of because of deadpoolers. A sort of Australian Fred Phelps type?

Hmm, feels like there's an obvious thing to do. Has anyone done it? You know what I mean.

Strikes me here that in theory I picked the wrong wildcard. Simon Ricketts. Doing OK for now, likely a survivor into 2018. However, if he was to go in, say, December, it could be a crucial hit. Although Sir Creep's joker will go this year, but is hanging on for now.

Very sad news on a personal level, the great horror anthologist Richard Dalby has died aged 68. (Blog post but confirmed by those in the know) My bookshelves are stacked with his fiction anthologies. RIP to one of the legends, imo.

Well there you go. My 2014 Deathrace team was only...3 years ahead of that particular low hanging curve.

Angus Robertson's on a shaky peg after these results. The Ghost, Mary Creagh and Gloria de Piero look fecked on them too, not to mention a whole bunch of others. -

Wouldn't count those chickens - we could still wind up with a Lab/Tory Glasgow coalition. -
MSN UK covering Sasha Lakovic. You've got to laugh...

Documentary about that a few years back, Meet the Natives, on Channel 4. The Brits being the natives.
